Aggie, BC has a better chance of beating silsbee this year than beating lumberton. Lumberton will be significantly better on defense. And offensively,  Lumberton will be tough to stop.

​i agree, my personal opinion would be to go to UGA, I just think they're gonna be to loaded there, but the reason I say UGA is if Mark Richt doesn't pull a Mark Richt he could play for a SEC title every year, SEC East is weak, the only team right now you have to worry about is Tennessee & possibly Mizzou going forward. Non-bias: go to Arkansas, better oline, perfect situation for personal success, the only downside is the SEC West is no joke, tough to make it to ATL. 

Georgia has Chubb, who was freshman last year. Wouldn't get much PT for a couple of years Georgia. Arkansas would be a good fit for him and I'm a LSU fan. Lol

​I think the line is already drawn through A&M. It's probably really down to UT and OU. I think Arkansas is a perfect for what Whaley does well, he has more raw ability than I saw out of Williams when he was at Allen for sure. Arky is probably the school recruiting him the hardest too due to need.
At the beginning of the process I think he was an Aggie lean but I think he sees that even though they have a solid 0-line A&M's system isn't really conducive to feature backs. Oddly enough it's probably the school he could start at as a true freshman though, depending on how Ford looks. While I believe he's going to OU or Texas, they're the two schools on his list that have young back he would have to wait behind.

Very good non-biased explanation...  I wonder if the Arkansas coaches told him that when they contacted him.... Mr. Whaley would probably be sold....

​other than C-Mike with one yr under Swaggy K what A&M RB has had some success moving forward? I can name several before the Swagcopter landed, I can also name a couple that will after this season at Arkansas. You cant trust having success at UT, Georgia is loaded at RB and Oklahoma has had RBs transfer outta there and/or get injured while there. Arkansas has the biggest oline and best oline imo in the Nation as far as playing the game on the college level. There is a reason Williams and Collins had great seasons last yr, Whaley could be the next, if he wants to. 

Smart move: Go to Arkansas. No bias and no explanation needed.

You'd think a parent would look at it as an investment, an investment in the future of their child. It could very well pay off in their child receiving an education at a greatly reduced cost at the least. If they're not involved, shame on them.

Which game and who said it? Name and jersey #? With such an inflammatory insult being made, that you heard, I'm sure you made it a point to learn the identity of the player to report it. And don't kid yourself about why they were there. If you really don't know, then just ask one of them. They are not shy and don't mind telling you.

That sure does make for an impactful post on this forum but unless you have proof that it was said, then don't come on here and spread that garbage.  I'm so tired of people repeating what they "heard" second-hand as if they witnessed it.  I read every one of those tweets last Friday night from players on both teams and that wasn't one of them.  I'll admit that many of the tweets from both sides were inappropriate, vulgar and profane but nothing like what you just claimed.  So, unless you have a screenshot of the tweet, then I call BS on that.   But you do have to wonder why the 6 GCM boys drove all the way to Lumberton last night to watch Lumberton vs Vidor.  Hmmm

I hear ya.  I agree that you have some who complain and some who spend too much time visiting the fieldhouse.  I guess because I have not seen it result in more playing time, I just laughed it off.  We only have a problem when the coach lets those visits influence playing time.  I think Credeur and Haynes both did a great job of standing strong in that regard and i'm confident Babin will be as well.  Good luck to your son.

I know of a couple people that moved their kids to a smaller school for their senior season to get more playing time. I also agree that high school is usually the last competitive sports played for the majority of kids. I have no problem with a parent and kid choosing that route at all. I do, however, have a problem with someone labeling the former school as having "politics" involved when it comes to playing time. Sounds like sour grapes imho.
