  1. A lot to unpack but here goes…. I consider myself very knowledgeable on the Constitution. In part of that knowledge I know that Article III Sec. 1 and Sec. 2 say that the judicial power of the United States shall be in one Supreme Court and that power shall extend to “all cases arising from the Constitution”. That means it doesn’t matter what you think, I think, people who are very knowledgeable think or the Town Cryer. The Supreme Court has rendered a ruling on this issue and it appears as though birthright citizenship is granted under the 14th Amendment. There is a sliver of hope in that ruling because they weren’t quite as adamant as maybe they could have been. Also, like Plessy, v. Ferguson and Roe v. Wade, they can simply reverse themselves. Over 30 countries have unrestricted birthright citizenship. The “only country” is a fallacy that is often repeated.
  2. Claim to fame, a mass shooting survivor. The mass shooting survivor, who: 1. Was never shot. 2. Was never shot at. More fake victimhood. ”I’m a survivor!” Me too. I one time survived a plane crash in Port Arthur. I wasn’t actually in the crash but I got there shortly afterwards.
  3. This is a constitutional issue, not a legal issue. Congress cannot pass legislation overcoming a Constitution right protection There are conflicting Supreme Court decisions on birthright citizenship with a very narrow decision in favor of no automatic birthright citizenship and a much stronger case for most birthright citizenship (everyone except diplomats).
  4. When did Trump blame DEI for the crash?
  5. The national debt cannot crease without a deficit. The numbers that I posted ARE the deficit for those years. The national debt went from roughly $5 Trillion to roughly $35 Trillion because of those annual deficits that I listed. Next?
  6. The nation debt in 2000 was $5.6 Trillion. The national debt in 2024 was 35.5 Trillion. So it went up $30 Trillion. Under Obama it went up $9.4 Trillion. Under Biden it went up $8.4 Trillion…. In 4 years. Under Bush’s two terms it went up $5 Trillion. Under Trump it went up $7.8 Trillion. So we have $12.8 Trillion under 3 Republican terms and $17.8 under 3 Democrat terms. Next?
  7. EVERYONE is still worried about the debt. The national debt was $5.5 Trillion in 2000. It is approaching $40 Trillion now through 3 Republican terms and 3 Democrat terms. You can look like the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz and point in both directions.
  8. I asked a current Army Black Hawk pilot about the ground clutter of lights without determining anyone at fault. If the BH was at altitude (even if out of position at 400 feet) and told an aircraft was approaching at 1,200 feet for landing, wouldn’t they be looking up at the black sky and not toward the ground and the clutter of lights? Yes. I have heard the speculation that the CRJ, because it was turning to the left, lightly exposed its belly to the helicopter, so the navigation lights could not be seen. So I ask the BH pilot what I already knew, aren’t the navigation light supposed to be seen from any angle including from underneath the aircraft? Yes.
  9. Yes, it’s a stretch. The helicopter was flying towards the south end of runway 33. ATC told the pilots of the helicopter that a jet was at 1.200 feet on final to runway 33. There is only one place in the sky that jet can be, and that is south of runway 33 which is coincidentally the same location of the helicopter. The experienced pilots were warned about an aircraft south of the field landing but the two experienced pilots flying the helicopter, were according to the experts, both looked to the north and saw an aircraft a mile away and somehow mistook that for the landing aircraft? Then the helicopter pilot was told to “pass behind the CRJ”. How do two experienced pilots (or even rookies) get told to pass behind an aircraft landing from the south yet mistake it for instructions to pass behind a jet a mile away to the north? Wrong altitude? Switching between night vision and visual? Mistook the jet behind the CRJ to the south? I have no clue but if they thought that a jet a mile away north, to their right, was the aircraft to watch south of the runway, that is the craziest thing I have heard about this tragedy. If the helicopter pilots were so lost that they didn’t know where they were in relation to the threshold of runway 33, maybe that was the cause but even that seems like a stretch. And now they are saying the collision happened at 325 feet.
  10. Orange Man bad and mean tweets lives on…. 🤔 The problem with their side of the aisle is that some of the never Trumpers have become never Democrats… 😎 Then they double down and make David Hogg one of the leaders of their party. 🤪 It’s an old saying but, can’t make this stuff up!
  11. ….. and actually I don’t drink or smoke. If I did, it would be outrageous! 😎
  12. Chuck Schumer has really hit the nail on the head with these outrageous Trump Mexico tariffs!! He is hitting below red belt!!! How are we going to be able to watch the Super Bowl if they avocados and Corona beer goes up 25%?!? I was going to make some guacamole for Super Bowl but now I’m gonna have to change my plans. I usually use about eight Haas avocados at about 89¢ each. It was going to cost $7.12 but now it would be $8.90! The Corona long necks will go up 34¢ each. I was only going to drink about four, but that’ll bring me between the guacamole and beer to $3 more out of my pocket so I can happily watch the Super Bowl. OUTRAGEOUS! Just think if I did that every weekend, I would lose $12 a month….. 🤣🤣🤣
  13. To get help from the other countries and reduce it to 98%.
  14. BPD arrests 17 year old for late January murder.
  15. I just saw reports that the helicopter was actually at 200 feet as required and the jet was lower than optimal glide slope. A CRJ is a model of aircraft (Bombardier) and that generally cannot be distinguished at night. What they will see is the navigation lights. It would be like at nighttime trying to distinguish a Boeing 757 from a Boeing 767. Oh, you got the wrong Boeing! It seems virtually impossible to mistake a landing aircraft for one taking off. The runway numbering system makes it impossible to mistake direction unless you just have no clue where you are at. If they couldn’t distinguish the navigation lights, they surely couldn’t see which model of aircraft it was. With the latest report that I read showing that the plane might have been below glide-slope and the helicopter at the assigned altitude (unverified), I think that I will wait for further investigation. Speculation is absolutely the name of the game in social media. Otherwise we mostly could not comment. As a pilot, I think some of the speculation borders on stretching that rubber band beyond the breaking point.
  16. The Green New Deal, infrastructure bill, etc., are just politicized money laundering.
  17. That didn’t take long…… It isn’t a trade war. It is a demand to secure your own border. The claimed “war” lasted two days with Mexico. Trudeau talked to Trump yesterday and has a scheduled talk this afternoon.
  18. I am always amused that Hogg is portrayed as a “survivor” of the school shooting at Parkland in Florida. Was he shot? No. Was he shot at? No. But he managed to survive! 🤣 I guess I am the survivor of 4 shootings since I was actually fired upon. Maybe I need to add that to my resumé: TVC (survivor of 4 shootings)…. 🤣🤣🤣 And yes Stoneman Douglas HS was a terrible day and yes the deputy school resource officer on scene was a coward in my opinion as well as some of the responding deputies. If I remember correctly, when the city police showed up, they charged straight ahead and ran around the deputies, but that’s another topic.
  19. I have thought this premise was nonsensical from the beginning. Maybe it’s true but it seems illogical. It’s kind of hard to explain on in words but here goes. I believe the jet was going to land on runway 1 but ATC asked if he could divert to runway 33 or was it vice versa? Either way…. both runways go only north. Runway 33 goes northwest and 1 goes almost due north. The helicopter is south of the runways which are 1 mile and 1.5 miles long and going away from the helicopter. The helicopter pilot is looking for any conflict at his location. It is extremely unlikely that he’s looking for a possible dangerous situation from an aircraft that’s a mile away and flying away at approximately 200 miles an hour. The pilot’s concern is with a conflict avoidance at the south end of the field from other aircraft landing. If the helicopter pilot heard the landing instructions for the jet on 33 or 1, the attention would have been toward the south which is the only place that the jet could be located for landing on for 33 or 1. Inside of the Class B airspace around the airport movement of aircraft is strictly controlled by ATC. It is like comparing it to flying in the fog where the pilots cannot see. It is the ATC responsibility to keep the aircraft separated. In this case it was a perfectly clear night and the helicopter pilot requested from ATC to fly visual separation meaning that the pilot can clearly see surroundings and will be responsible for safe travel. That request was granted. Again, the helicopter was south of both runways and looking for any dangers coming from that direction. Why would the helicopter pilot be told to look out for a landing aircraft and yet be looking a mile away to the north for an aircraft flying away at 200mph? Let’s say you are driving. You are coming up to an intersection for a one-way highway with traffic coming from your left and you have a yield sign. You don’t have to stop but you obviously have to give right away to anyone else who gets there first from the left to avoid a collision. Your passenger says, look out to the left, there is a vehicle coming up to the intersection! So you look to the right and a mile away you see a vehicle and say, yes I can see it. That is basically what ATC told the helicopter. Okay……. Runways 33 and 1 are one-way traffic coming from the left and the helicopter pilot knows it. How does the pilot confuse aircraft landing from the left with an aircraft a mile away and flying away (remember it’s a one way traffic lane) to the right?
  20. We tried to stay home for covid but they said no. 🤔
  21. Yes, it appears to be human error.
  22. I wonder what systems the helicopter had and what was required. Large passenger aircraft are required to have a TCAS operating which is a collision avoidance system. It should detect a conflict in flight paths but military aircraft might not have them. The TCAS should give avoidance instructions to the pilots like it might say descend or pull up to avoid collision. It should give opposite directions to the opposing aircraft, telling one to ascend and the other to descend. I am assuming that the helicopter didn’t have that system. I think…. I am a pilot but have never flown a plane with TCAS.
  23. If I was looking for a race I am sure that I could. When less White doctors are graduating as compared to their race percentages in this country, it hampers the claim that they are bumping people out of positions. Maybe it’s Asian privilege.
  24. I wouldn’t suggest hiring or promoting by tests or certainly not as the main or only factor. It is fair however and I have seen what a government thinks about being fair and qualified, considering the topic. Calling in…. When I retired I had almost 4,000 hours of sick time accrued. On average I called in sick a little over one day a year. I could have called in sick for almost two years…. 😎
  25. Applying for a civil service job for a police or fire department requires everyone taking the same test, at the same time and at the same location. The tests are sealed until the testing process begins and the police or fire department doesn’t set the test. They do that because no one is supposed to even know what the questions are over until the test begins. All hiring must come from the ranking of the test scores with no added points except a state mandated 5 extra points for an honorable discharge from the military. Once the tests are scored, including adding the military points, the person(s) hired has to come from the ranking of the test scores. Whoever scored number one has to be put through the background investigation, the physical agility/obstacle course, interview, etc., before they can move on to the second place person from the final ranking. Anyone who is not hired has to be told why and they have I believe 10 business days to appeal the results to an outside board. So legacy, who you know, your race, where you live, etc., has a much harder time being used because the state law forces the hiring process by test score and military service only The cities in this area seem to have a strong dislike for that merit based process. The only way they can circumvent state law is by a contract with a police or firefighter union. The city governments are bound by state law on hiring and promotions. Promotions are based similar to the hiring process. The city civil service commission, volunteers appointed by the mayor, choose study material such as books that the promotional test will be based on. The departments have no say in the testing materials or the questions. The promotional materials must be made available to everyone for at least 90 days prior to any test and the test itself has to be given at least a 30 day notice. Again, everyone has to take the test at the same time at the same location which are graded on scene. There are no additional points given except for seniority, at least by my department civil service rules. The promotions must then be given by the final test scores. If both sides agree to allow a change in the law however, state law can be overcome. That sometimes puts the union in a good bargaining position. Again, the cities don’t seem to particularly like that process of merit based promotions. They want to put who they want in a position without being required to base it on anything. That is why I asked, when people say that they want to take sex and race out of the equation by removing it from the applications, the state already has such a system for hiring and promoting of police and firefighters. The cities don’t seem particularly fond of that system.
