  1. If that is correct... then it looks like PNG vs Barbers Hill, Central vs Goose Creek, Vidor vs Crosby and Ozen vs Dayton....... If CE King gets the 4th spot then PNG vs Dayton, Ozen vs Crosby, Vidor vs CE King and Central vs Goose Creek.......... that game would be fun to watch!!!!
  2. if C.E. King wins this week and against Dayton and the Hill loses against Crosby and North Forest, King is in. then: Crosby #1 small (7-0, 6-1) Dayton #2 small (5-2) King #1 big (4-3) GCM #2 big (4-3) Hill out (3-4) May not happen but who knows.... If the hill beats North Forest then maybe: Crosby #1 big (7-0, 6-1) king or GCM #2 big (3-4) Dayton #1 small (6-1) Hill #2 small (4-3)
  3. I feel the safety squeeze is better. 2 tries to get down a good bunt, then 2 strike swing if you can't get it down.
  4. the answer to that is yes. We could've scored 70 2 years ago in the playoffs. I believe we were at 49 at the end of the 3rd quarter. congrats on the win Crosby.... Good luck the rest of the way. I heard a rumor that Stewart one year refused to shake hands after a win one year...... Is that true?.... I heard he just waved at the Crosby coaches and his team just ran off.... If that is true then shame on him.... in fact, that shows Flannigan has real class to extend his hand after that win! That was the year that there was a bench clearing brawl (caused by a late hit from a Crosby Cougar). Dayton cleared the field after the game to avoid more confrontation. At that game you obviously weren't game full of late hits is my memory... and none of them got called until the brawl (in which the player who retaliated and two others (2 dayton 1 crosby where ejected) Late hits happen a flag should get thrown u take your 15 yards and you let the refs handle it (something texas football needs more of) Just my recollection with a few people from dayton it seems like every "brawl" is someone else fault i remember a year you almost had to end your season early because of multiple brawls... UIL warnings don't happen often. WOW!!! So it is true!!! And yes you can blame him for that! If that were the case then with all the Unsportsman penalitys during the game friday, Flannigan should have done the same...but he shows class and shakes hands.... good job coach.....
  5. Says who? Think this year not last! I am thinking of this year... 2 losses to 2 top rated teams in 3A.. WOS in (OT) and Jasper.... And based on what they did last year....It makes them the man in South East Texas!!!!!
  6. As I once heard from a great coach..... "To be the man you have to beat the man." and right now Kirbyville is the man!! Good luck and keep fighting wildcats!!

  8. don't know what you were looking at but Crosby has 4 WR over 6' 1'' two over 6' 4". The line is not that big but can block. the D backs and LB are not that big but can bring the wood.
  9. Made me wonder. One of their (Crosby's) players ran and shoved a Dayton player after a play was WAY over the kid from Dayton was walking away and the kid from Crosby came and shoved him hard.No ref saw it.EVERYBODY else did.Crosby was on their game Dayton wasn't. That hit could be heard at the top of the bleachers and the ball came out. It was right by our sidelines and the whole crowd was going nuts. I am sure that was what the coaches were cheering about. The QB got up and walked off so it was not as he was just laying there. As for the pushing play on the Dayton side, I watched that play very closely.... the dayton player him pushed him first when the play was dead and then the Crosby player did push him back.... y'all just see what you want to see... still not right on Crosby's part but I believe the coaches pulled him right after the play.... As for the X factor.... he did flip off the crowd with 2 hands..... and he was throwing punches on the first play that went out of bounds. the ref first recognized this and said out loud "they are both out of the game!!!" Crosby thought their rover was out and pulled him off the field then saw X on the next play. I guess he changed his mind. As for the weather conditions, I believe Crosby had to play on the same field with the same weather conditions. I believe they put the ball on the ground 3 times to, just were good enough to cover them. anyways does not matter. the game is over. Good game men......It is amazing what can happen when you believe in yourself........ Now on to North Forest!! OK I will believe you after you can tell me how many times my cell phone rang during the game and what was the license plate of the car I was driving. You seem to have seen and heard everything that happened in the stadium. This is only a test. It sounds like you were on the top row for the hit on Ploch and on the sideline for the call by the official or maybe you just heard this from someone else who heard this from someone else. no was there. and the hit was so hard that you could have hear it from the parking lot. I watched the game very closely... I heard the ref say they were both out...... as for your phone i guess it was on vibrate.

  11. rain is the best time to throw the ball.... no one expects it and the gloves made today are made to stick with wet weather... both have a strong running game but cuts will be difficult in wet weather.... got to love the game tonight..... word of advice.....frog togs!!!!!
  12. close game. Just could not hold on!! a fumble insinde the 20 with 1 min left hurt us!!! Keep fighting men!!!
  13. kirbyville big!!! love those cats!! Go out and get your first district win men!!!
  14. what do you think the rain will do to performance? any guesses?
  15. In this quote lies the problem! way to support your program TEL.... could this mentality be filtering down to the Kids?? if they are doing what you say; putting their heads down when the first time it goes bad, saying they can't beat them, and then blaming the coach? this is the same mentality of the above statement.!!!! Is this what you want to teach our kids? If it is going to be tough, quit and don't worry about it and blame someone else????? Victory happens in the mind first......Instilling disbelief will crush a team, on and off the field. My suggestion is shut your mouth unless you have something positive to say especially about your home town!!!!! Wow, Hitman I thought a winner is always the one who is able to give his opponent what he has earned. If I remember correctly Dayton has been the better team for sometime know. Until, that changes it is just plain and simple the truth. If you look at Flanigan's record vs. Stewart it looks like Stewart has the overwhelming edge in the head to head also in the amount of playoff visit's and depth in the playoff's. I don't recall reading anything about let's not try, just give up or they have no chance. In fact, I think he said they will prepare and play hard, that just reaks of negativity. You are quite the role model, shut your mouth unless you have something positive to say! Take some of your own advice, everyone in Crosby would like to see a win this year. Odds are it might not happen this year. If you don't like what you hear then don't post on the site, not everyone has to believe or follow your wishes. It just fustrates me when ADULTS don't see the big picture. and ya'll are not seeing the problem either... what ever....... I am positive, positive that the Coogs are going to pull this win out even if THEIR COMMUNITY DOES NOT BELIEVE!!!! (their is my whole point in big letters for the people not understanding me)

I don't have a dog in the fight, and I do support the programs. Not saying they can't win, didn't blame the coach. Didn't say a word about quitting, are you in never never land? Kids, this is why it is important to say no to drugs. Education is the key!! Get some more of it! I don't have a dog in this fight. I gotta go with you on this one ,TEL. I thought your original was honest and realistic....and praised the kids. Maybe I read the wrong post. Not a secret that Dayton has the best team right now. This isn't YMCA ball where everybody played a great game and both teams won the game. Just my unsolicated two cents. Thanks, that's kinda what I was thinking. take another look at YOUR above quote.... It is in bold... and think of what you are saying... does not sound real positive to me....... to prove my statement every dayton and BH fan is agreeing with you!!! It is the little things that make a difference!!

  18. we talk with our actions on the field!!!! don't like crow, but you might want to put some A1 on yours!!
  19. Kirbyville lost a lot of players last year but has a talented group coming up to go along with their ace Kale Jones. their JV was district champs and have strumbed teams on more than one occasion such as Jasper, Silsbee and Buna. they should make a good run this year with state on their minds next year!
  20. yes you had a good football team.......IN THE 70'S. the purpose of that post was to stress that just because we got beat by a really good team, does not mean we suck.......And you haven't played anyone that good in a couple of years..... You are right. La Marque and Brenham, they were just push-overs when we played them. I don't call Brenham who was 8 - 5 and La marque was not that good who lost in the second round a powerhouse..
  21. yes you had a good football team.......IN THE 70'S and 50's. one good team in 99. the purpose of that post was to stress that just because we got beat by a really good team, does not mean we suck.......And you haven't played anyone that good in a couple of years.....
  22. Hmmm PNG only had 7 yards of penalties?? heck I remember get back to back 12 men in the huddle penalities. So get your facts together. was not talking about the Barbers Hill game.... try the crosby game 2 years ago...
  23. whining about officials is justified when one team is penalized 155 yards and the other 7. I am sorry even the oakland raiders don't get penalized that much. It is a long standing joke that you can't get into the end zone in midcounty. Look at Friday, did not see many flags but one came flying in when Barbers Hill was standing in the End Zone. And now since they changed the NCAA rules (no ref can officiated a high school one night and a college night the next) It's just going to get worse by officials..
