That's who Galena Park should be worried about. Not GCM, Crosby.  This week will be a cakewalk for the Jackets.
Looks like you might have been right on this one. ;D
Dayton's been putting up a fight.... just cant hang on for more than 6 inn...... Crosby beat NF 25-0......Crosby vs GP could be a good one.
 3. Crosby wins 25-0. Cody Ressler perfect game. 9k HR Rachel     Hebert
Be careful about making statements about TAKS scores that you really are not sure of.  This has already been posted once and the guy from Crosby was shown to be wrong.
The BOMB from the 3 hole last night was the hardest ball I've seen hit at GCM. That thing cleared the trees behind the left field fence. It was a good game between two good teams. It's just a shame that it came down to a Little League error. Congrats Cougars. See ya'll in a few weeks.
Well it went extra inn because of a little league error.  Crosby had a error by 3rd base in the 5th that let the tie run come to the plate. which the kid hit a bomb.  Errors are apart of base ball. Jeremy came in and closed it down in the 5th.... striking out 9 of 15 batters i think.... The person I feel for is Cody Butler... the lefty threw a heck of a game... Its been a long time where I have seen a pitcher pitch over 165 pitches and was still effective.... great game Cody and I hope you don't have to throw that many again....
 7.
The Price is right for GCM.  Too much offensive fire power and should hit the big right hander.   GCM 5  Crosby 2
Crosby is good... Just ask Barbers Hill, Kingwood Park and C.E. King.... Crosby 8 - 2.
 8. Crosby wins 2010 barbers hill tournament!!!!! Good Job Coogs!!!!
 9. Kirbyville - Kale Jones Buna - Josh Clark Crosby - Jeremy Gabyszwski
 10. need bracket 1st game Clear Creek-10 C.E. King    -3 2nd game Crosby       -12 Clear Creek - 2 Don't know the rest???
 11. First of all I think the kid is great.  Has a great work ethic, great manors and has natural leadership skills.   To think this decision not to play high school is not a big deal is ludicrous. Who is the first person a scout is going to talk to???   What is that person going to say?? If a scout hears that he drug up when a coach chewed on his rear, do you think they will take him???  Do you think those college coaches are different??? No they are not……… In fact they are tougher. I really hope Holden rethinks his situation.
 12.
Oh my goodness this has to be some kind of a joke!!! ARE YOU PEOPLE SERIOUS... Kirbyville has only one decent pitcher and with the loss of thier catcher there is no chance ... maybe next year guys im sorry  ??? ??? ??? ???
You are wrong there. they will have a better record than those stros you are so proud of. They have the talent to compete. This group has beatten many good programs. Jasper many of times, Silsbee, Buna and won district as a JV group last year. They wil do well as long as they stay focused on their goal!!!
 13. Easy Bmtball, Jack is not the coach. I have had the honor of having coached Holden and taught him in the classroom as well.  Holden is a talented and hard working young man, and everything you said is true about his work ethic.  I love Holden to death and even though Holden does work hard, he can be a little hard headed sometimes. I also know the Kirbyville coach, and he can be hard headed, controlling and stubborn at times but he is knowledgeable about the game and his heart and intentions are in the right place. Holden, and the rest of the team needs to realize that they are playing high school ball now not select.  In select, you can just go play for another team if he does not like the coach. In high school you don't have that luxury. A high school coach has a strong influence on your future (scholarships). You don't have to like the coach, but you must respect him. The name on the jersey says "KIRBYVILLE WILDCATS" and that is who you are playing for.
 14. So you know that these "drug tests" that the school does not test for steroids right.  the random drug tests that the school pays for  students in extra curricular activities only shows mary J, Coke, and prescription drugs (bars).  they will not show Steroids!!!!!!   Steroid test are very expensive and can be inaccurate. Many of these ingredients in steroids are found in health drinks and supplements.  Another problem is they can't be biased to who they test.  Extra curricular activities also include band, UIL, ect.  they have to equally tested just like the football team and power lifting team. Since it cost so much they really just don't do them.  The kids are tricked. The sign a steroid sheet saying they can be tested but really the "drug test" does not show it.
 15. I need to see the gun on those kids. Did not see anybody hit even the mid 80's. maybe the low 80's.
Trust me Silsbee has beat Jasper and Kirbyville before!!!  ::) Jasper and Kirbyville better be glad they did not move south  :o
Yeahhhh... you beat Kirbyville & Jasper and lost to Diboll 49/35...A team who finished the year at 2/8..Now who should feel LUCKY...!!
Kirbyville will be lucky just to win 1 or 2 games in the play-offs in 3a  :o
What???? the last time they were in 3A they had a Jr. stacked team and still went 3 deep with a loss to China Springs on Kyle Field......... China Springs went to the state game that year.... they have many returning and will be a force in 3A.  Go Cats!!!!
 17.
It's obvious to most that Crosby is the community with race problems rather than Vidor.   I hold Coach Flanigan to at least being partial to blame.  He scheduled the game/s.  He went to school in Lumberton and coached in Orangefield (2 of the many good schools in the Triangle).  He knows about all the area schools.  He should have stood up, told everyone about the good people in the Triangle and insisted the game be played as he scheduled.  I am convinced that he could have kept the game on his schedule.  I have never heard of an AD with even a small amount of courage letting the Superintendent tell him who not to play for a bogus reason like this.   Other Texas communities that have Crosby on their schedules should insist on a credible answer.  If I thought it was BS; I would petition my school to cancel the game.   I would be interested in hearing from anyone concerning how serious the race problems are in Crosby.  Must have been very bad for the community to react in this manner. Crosby ISD owes the entire Vidor community a public apology for their being narrow minded!
really??? you think there are race problems in Crosby and not Vidor???????..... try this site then tell me what you think.... [Hidden Content] or this.................. Reported area around or near Vidor, TX 77662-5847   Pop. — African American 27 Pop. — Asian 108 Pop. — Pacific Islander 15 Pop. — American Indian / Alaskan Native 318 Pop. — White (26,753 Pop. — Other 316 Crosby Total Population: 20,143 White Population: 15,147 Black Population: 3,596 Hispanic Population: 1,978 Asian Population: 82 Hawaiian Population: 5 Indian Population: 103 I think you are mistaken.... No race problems in Crosby...Now Vidor??....well I will let you be the judge in that.
 18.

It came straight from the man himself why they dropped vidor. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FINANCES. The sup. was told by two school board members that they did not want to come to vidor because of the race issue. The sup then caved in and told the head coach to drop vidor. I am very disappointed in the sup. If you look at their website he preaches about diveristy and helping everyone get along, and how they take great pride in including everyone. This guy must not believe what he says or else he is just a puppet. It is very discouraging to see all the work that Coach Mathews and his staff have done thrown away by some who is still living in the past. It personally makes me want to throw up.
And u may be right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
or you may be wrong!!!! Unless your ties are with the school board in Crosby, then you don't know. It seems you are from vidor sense you are crediting Coach Mathews and his staff on the job that they have done. The word around Crosby is that it had to do with finances... and that is all we have to take it for... sense we don't work on the school board and don't know what really happened.... Even if that was the case, you really can't blame Flanigan or the sup. Flanigan has to answer to the sup and the sup has to answer to the school board.  You can't blame a community for the actions of a couple of people. Just like I can not blame the whole town of Vidor for the KKK protests in the streets in the 90's, or when I wittness the helcking of a black coach from Livingstion by some fans in the croud when he was walking to the press box when Livingston played Vidor last year. There is discrimination in both area's.....personally I wish this could all go away... but that is the world we live in today.... I don't want this to become a Crosby bashing..... Crosby is a great place to raise your kids.... I moved to this area from the golden triangle and have found just as much community interaction, pride, and sportsmanship.... Both places are great!!!!!!
 19.
I thought the coach sets up his schedule not the school board that says alot about Crosby coaching staff.
This whole thing is being blown up so big for nothing.  It has nothing to due with race of the school or fear of the safty of the students and fans of Crosby. It also has nothing to do with the coaching staff.  If it did then they would not have scheduled them in the first place.... In every sport, the coach makes a schedule, it is then passed by the AD then the board. The word I got is it had to do with expenses and traveling to the same district twice. (already play PNG)
 20. does any one know the standings for 22-2A. I am sure Woodville is on top but what about the rest?
really it just makes us think......We could have won the region if we were DII.  If yall made it that far, and we kicked your a$$.  Heck, we might have won state!!
Wrong again!!!  If you were D2 we would have put y'all out just likwe did in 08.  I know you remember that, and that was one of our less talented teams.  I've said it once and I'll say it again, Crosby is decent at football but not on the same level as Brenham and Dayton.  We play in championships, where Crosby exits in the 2nd round every year.  Come to think of it, I can't think of a sport where y'all are better than Brenham.  Crosby's goal is to make the 2nd round.  Brenham's goal is to win a championship.  Just making the playoffs, only satisfies you so many times, but I guess you can't expect much more than that from Crosby.  If y'all can't do anything with that QB in 2010,  I don't know if y'all ever will.
So let me get this strait......Brenham sqeaks by Dayton by 6 (30-24).... and Crosby rolls them by 28 (28-0 really is was 35. ref made a boo boo on a pick 6) ..... and your conclusion is Crosby would not had a chance at state because we would have played you.....OK....... not very good at reasoning or math are ya!!
I don't have a dog in this fight....just a long time Texas high school football fan. Brenham would have beaten Crosby. You beat Dayton in a turn-over infested monsoon. There I said it. Let the slamming begin.  ;)
it hardly rained and we played on turf!!!! I did not know that turnovers were not apart of the game........great teams do not turn the ball over....maybe if dayton was so great they could have hung on to the ball!!!!!  The D caused the turnovers and D is apart of football!!!! I believe Crosby played on the same field and 0 turnovers..... let me guess.....it was the rain that made them hold on to the ball...... rain only effects dayon players......ok....
 22. the best girl I have ever seen did not even play her SR year. I think she quit in the middle of her          Jr. year. Christina Bowsha (spelling?) from HJ in 91, 92, 93?  She got in a disagreement with the girls coach/AD at the time and quit.  She made all state her fres and soph year.  I can still remember Pat Summitt writing her evey week telling her how they did and were tenn was going next.  She would get letters every tues, a stack of them, durring alg. class........Man she was fun to watch play...She has a kid now that is really athletic.... can't remember his name but is a 8th grader this year..... You will hear is name in the next year or two...
