1. This is Price’s ninth playoff team in the past 11 seasons at BH. “If we’d have won the first game, would we be 10-0 right now?” Price said, repeating an interviewer’s question. “You never know. We’ve been snakebit a couple of times with turnovers in important games. “But the kids aren’t trying to turn it over. We try to be mistake-free.” Just a observation as well ;)
 2. Here is the way I see it: Dayton vs Vidor - Dayton is firing on all cylinders right now. they will move the ball and play some good D. vidor is one dimensional. OK D but I don't think they can stop those Broncos right now. Crosby vs Nederland - Crosby moves the ball on off, does not turn the ball over much and has a D that will knock the crap out of you. When the game is on the line they will make plays. Nederland has a inexperienced QB, an RB, a line that needs some work and a D that is decent at best. PNG vs Barbers Hill - PNG is on a roll but may have some hangovers from the big game last week and may walk into the game thinking they beat them once, they can do it again. NOT GOOD! Different Barbers Hill team. They still are tough on D and O.   Barbers Hill can move the ball on offense but their D needs some work.  Could be a close one if PNG does not jump on them. Central vs GCM - Cental could so two things: be quit and let GCM hang with them or be pissed for blowing last weeks game and come out and destroy them. Their D has to stop the big play. GCM has to believe and hang with them. Create the big play, and move the ball. Could be a close one or major blow out. For all you people releying on the non district scores from the beginning of the season, remember these are total different teams now.  Right now everyone is undefeated and the loser rolls out the basketballs!!!!
 3. I have seen all the teams play a couple of times..... 19 4A is better.... PNG and Central really dominated in that district. everyone else was descent at best.  In 19 4A all most all the playoff teams could hang with eachother. but still predict 2-2. If their is any upsets it would have to go to 19 4A.

I know you don't want to get your teeth kick in again!!!!! Hope to see you in Lufkin again.... I know I had fun their last year... How about you?? :D
 6.
I think Nederland is rolling on momentum. They could be peaking at just the right time. It certainly will be an upset, close game, but yeah... I think Nederland can take it.   And, no..  I dont have my "nose to the pipe".
If the last 2 games is your "peaking" then Crosby rolls over you!!
 7.

Crosby wins this one.  Crosby is not great, but better than Nederland.
Is Crosby in a strong district?
Nope, it's always been Dayton by themselves and then all of the rest
19-4A and 20-4A split last year in playoffs. now is 19-4A a strong district, I don't think it is the strongest but it is stronger than 20-4A.
 8.

i say the coach from PN-G super job for a first year coach in this part of the country
After watching PNG play BH the first game, I would have to agree.  PNG is a MUCH better team now than when they played game 1.  That's what good coaches do.  I saw Crosby's Flannigan mentioned, however Crosby has been the benifactor of other's misfortune.  I don't see it as Crosby doing anyting different or improved to win over Dayton or BH.  Flannigan even admitted this in the Baytown Sun after the BH loss.
I would disagree on Flannigan.  The fact still remains, outright district champs. If you had see how they played in the first 2 games, and then look at them now, you would see how good of a job he and his coaching staff have done. Yes Dayton and Barbers Hill turned the ball over a bunch but some of that is accounted for good D.  When in need of a win, the D stepped up getting 2 key interceptions in the Barbers Hill game, and 1 in GP with 5 staring D out. The offense has been moving the ball well and putting points on the board..........In my mind he has to be the Coach of the year in 19-4A!!!!
 9.
My picks for coach of the year for each SETX district: 21-5A     jury still out 19-4A   Kevin Flanigan, Crosby 20-4A  Brandon Faircloth, PNG 21-3A  Bobby McGallion, Silsbee 22-3A  Bob Jones, Shepherd 22-2A  Curtis Barbay, Newton 23-2A  Tony Valastro, East Chambers 23-1A  Alex Davis, Colmesneil
I would have to go with Alverez for 22-2A. No returning starters on off and 4 on def and still compete at a high level losing only to Jasper and WOS in OT on a contraversal call at the end.
 10. same kind of talk last year......PNG beat Crosby and Barbers Hill their for their district is stronger............ then Crosby goes and smokes your district champs (Lumberton)  ..............  Give me a break....... Some teams just take longer to pull together.... I am going to laugh if Barbers Hill crushes you!!!!!
 11.
First of congrats Crosby But Just goes to show 20-4a is stronger.
I would agree that it is more competitive..........Not stronger....
 12.
Ok.... If indeed there is a 16 point max on a win or a loss.. Here is how I have the points breakdown if there were indeed a 5 way tie. Vidor- +14 Lumberton- -17 Nederland- -24 Livingston- -29 Ozen- -49 Vidor would go in the 3rd spot Lumberton would go in the 4th spot.
Penny says. Ozen's spread is already set at (-16), they would be in a bind. Vidor's spread is at (+15), pending the supposed loss that would put them in the 3-4 4way tie. Livingston's spread is at (-10) pending a supposed win that would put them in the 3-4 4way tie. Lumberton's spread is at (-1) pending a supposed win that would put them in the 3-4 4way tie. Nederland's spread is at (+12) pending a supposed loss that would put them in the 3-4 4way tie. I have seen 2 different caps. one on a different post. Both totally different. which one is correct if any?  Can some one do the math and let us fans know!!!
 13. the same goes for here. :-*  Who knows who we will be playing next week. I thought we would be playing vidor but nederland beat vidor so next week there could be a 5 way tie for the 3 and 4 spots in district 20-4A.  If thing go the way I think, we will play nederland and you will have Vidor. but who knows now.
 14. how about a 5 way tie for 3 and 4 spots??? lumberton win, livingston win and Ozen loss???  what happens then??????? all 3-4!!!!!!
 15. just because people pay taxes does not give them the right to bash the coach.  the "I pay taxes", or "you work in a job in which the public pays" excuse to bash is stupid. Every job is paid by the public............ If you work in a oil refinery do I have the right to bash you because I buy gas.  "Gas has gone up so you are not doing your job!" Come on!!!! My suggestion is support your program.......And don't complain about a problem unless you are willing to correct it.... IF you don't like it, go get an education, work the hours and train under a coach in a district and run your version of "the right way to coach football"

I can't even understand that mind set that every team in our district has more talent that BH?????? Has living on a saltdome somehow made the district a weaker life form? Oh and sorry i'm not into all of that Kum Bi Ya junk and positive re encouragment! Little Johnny will be ok. Thats pretty much why the USA is in that state it is now. Negativity is brought on by the actions of those receiving them! I don't call it Bashing it's and Opinion everyone is welcome to one wether it's right or wrong. If opinions bothers anyone then 1.) dont read them 2.) Get a job that isn't paid for by the public. 3.)
Your right $$$$ does help. but there is $$$$$$$$ all around, esp houston.  You might get a coach, but probally not one with a good track record or experience.  You will end up with a sub par or par coach and wish you would have kept Price!  AGAIN GOOD LUCK IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!!

BH generally wins because Price and Co. outcoach other teams with superior talent.
ya right he has not outcoahed many over the past four years. get on the website coach and your boy price should have gone along time ago and all of his cronies.
Now thats well said did anybody see the kirbyville playoff game 4 years ago we are up by 1 with 37 seconds to go they go 85 yards with no timeouts and we loose yes great coaching
just curious---How many tackles did Price miss on that last score?
thats about right........ Did you think you were more athletic than kirbyville that year???  Hazlewood QB, Rhodes RB - leading rusher in 3A (Kilgore) , Chris Samuel, Ryan Jones (Kilgore), Alverez (SFA) on the line, hughey CB (SFA), Brodric Jackson (Rice)....... should I go on.........Coaching and Character kept you in that game... Their is nothing wrong with your offense....moved the ball well against a very good Crosby D......... Just have to eliminate mistakes....

All y'all do is blame Price. answer me this: Have you ever had a coach with a better winning record? How many times has he taken you to the playoffs? Is he still getting the job done? I hate to say it BH parents and fans, but y'all are out matched every year.  If you took the whole district position by position, and matched them up athletically...........you might win one o line position! You are out muscled, out sized, and you don't have speed...this is every year....so how do you win??? TALENT and talent is COACHED.....If anything you should be thanking Price for winning so much despite these odds....maybe a raise or hug or kiss or something!!!!!........Maybe a little appreciation!!!!........that might work!!!!!
Maybe you should crawl back in the hole you came out of, because you know nothing about BH football.  I didn't make the quoted post, however he or she is absolutely right. We routinely lose to teams with less talent, every year.  It's happen 4 if not 5 times this year alone.  There is more to coaching than XX's and OO's, most of which is leadership and setting an example.  Something we have been lacking for years now.
I'm not trying to put down your kids.....I think you have a great bunch of kids they are just not as athletic as other schools in your district.  Infact their character lets them win games. As for leadership and character, Price is one of the top in the state.  Very high up!! AS for your loses to "teams with Less talent"........  So you are saying you have better players than PNG, Dayton, GCM and Crosby, and you just lost those games because of coaching??????? ......... don't think so man.. if anything you were in those games because of coaching!!!!!   If you look at the stats, it would say the players lost because of fumbles, 7 in almost all the games.... Coaches don't fumble,  players do. they Usually fumble because a more athletic player hit them and could not hold on to the ball. Nothing against your kids......but the so called "problem", and I don't call a winning season and playoffs a "problem", does not lie on the field, but in the stands!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crosby is a different team since they played PNG!!!! moved some people around, and they are now coached up and have been playing some good football! Crosby has a tendency to start slow and finish strong....EX last year got beat by PNG early, then destroyed Lumberton, your district champs in the first round of playoffs.......
