I have a question. I know it is illegal to touch a player of the opp. team..such as SS touching a lead off runner at 2nd. But is it allowed to kick dirt intentionally on the baserunner while he was taking his lead. I was at a game an you could see the SS looking down and kicking dirt on the back of a player on purpose. Is this interference????

Kirbyville played almost the same teams but came out with better records. the whole team is full of winners, 9 of them were on the state football team this year so they know how to handle preasure. As for Kville's bats, the team is batting .385 in district, .348k for the season. Our bats are far better than Buna Pitching about equal. Hazlewood and Clark match up well. As for Crawford vs Hillen, I would take Crawford, he can hit spots Hillen can't. He is really struggling this year. I just still see Kirbyville being the better team right now... Now both teams need to concentrate on district and playoffs, don't over look anyone, so we can see this awsome matchup in late May.... Good luck to both teams..

You are right....againt our bottom of the line up that only saw him one time. you saw Hazlewood all night, and the official book said best you could do is 1 hit, a blooper over second base. We out hit woodville 12 - 5 and 5 or 6 outs were linedrives to center or left. The ball was not bouncing our way that night. As for who is better, I would still take Kirbyville. Rankings are based on record!!! Kirbyville has better record, this would include all games no matter who is pitching. If you are not basing on records alone then here is more information that shows Kville is better: 1. Buna lost to Silsbee - Kirbyville beat them bad twice (17-1) 2. Buna lost to HJ - Kirbyville beat HJ 3. Buna lost to HF 11 -0. Kirbyville lost as well but only by 1 run 4. Buna barley beat Kountze, Kirbyville spanked them 5. Buna beat Deweyville 5 - 0. Kirbyville beat them (17-2) 6. Last but not least Kirbyville beat BUNA!!! Buna struggles against anyone who can hit their spots. yes, they have good pitching but their bats need improvement. If a pitcher or the defense has a off game, they lose. That's the way it was last year and the way it is this year.

It is considered a football area by the amount of Divion I recruits that come from this area. Have not done the math, but I would bet there are more Divion I players from the golden triangle playing in college, than most of the areas in TEX. Its not how many people attend games, its the athletes. Just like a basketball game, many people attend the games for various reasons and many leave before the game ends, (even at HJ, KOUNTZE, etc.) But over all, more football players are chosen to play college football in this area than basketball. In fact I think is a state thing rather than a area thing. Most college recruits come from Texas, Florida and CAL.

as for your district being better, Please!!! I believe our record against your district is 3 - 0. with a 38 to 0 runs scored and allowed. ;D ;D ;D As for our first district game, they got all the brakes, we didn't. If you remember the HJ vs BUNA game, which BUNA LOST, it was like that game. we out hit them 12 - 6. and had 4 or 5 line shots to center and left field that were at them. Just didn't drop or were at them. When line drives become triple plays and little bloopers become game winners, anything is possible in the game of baseball. But if I were Buna, I would hope Kville wins that district. that way they would have to play them latter in the playoffs that way you had more time to prepair or rest their pitchers. Some of the pitchers are still struggling.

Just one of those games. out hit them 12 to 6 and had a lot of line drives to center and right. you know the feeling. It reminded me of the HJ win over BUNA!!!! I lot of hard shots just at them.

Buna should roll in this one. Hemphill lost 10 from last year and their JV was not that good either. 12-1 in 5th.

That's funny that you say that you spoke with the director of the UIL....isn't he from Buna? ;D I know he coached at HJ and Westbrook. Is he from Buna really?? If so, that would account for his monster ego he has!!!

Cool!!! Randy was all-state last year in 3A I guess they are just going to give it to him already this year. As for the parade, we have had our fair share this year, fireworks and everything!!

23-2A will be won by Buna 22-2A will be won by Kirbyville

If you were at the game you would know the whole story!! As for "impressin nobody" neither is a 9-8 win in extra inn against a team we beat 17 -1!!! And by the way "WE STILL BEAT YOU"

good first 4 inn then the wheels came off. you name it we did it errors, 12 walks, 3 hit batters. 9 runs on 3 hits. Pitchers got a little fustrated. Blue was terrable on both sides, stop calling strikes in the 4th. the glove was not moving and no call. Orangefield just was more disciplined at the plate. they took their walks (which were strikes), and hit the ball a couple of times. Its OK. teams have those kind of games. we will learn and correct and be ready for district!! Lets go to work men and start another winning streak!!!

Silsbee, HF, HJ, WOS are all in 3A. that is not playing way under their classificaiton that is above. As for the HF games, yes we fell 1 and 2 runs short (one by a balk called in the bottom of the 6th, bad call) but it wasen't a butt whipping. we out hit them just made some small mistakes. By the way how did yall do against them. diden't you get a real butt whippin 11-0. did yall play Silsbee, we beat them 17 - 1!!! Statements are being made!!!

your right it might will go down.....to what he hit last year in one of the toughest 3A's in the state which was .506. Do you really think he can't hang in this 2A district?????? I would take him over any kid in Buna....

1 win does not get you out of a slump especially against East Chambers.. As for "Buna would, could and can beat Kirbyville," they might, could, but didn't beat Kirbyville...... As for clark or hillen, please throw them at us. we useally hit better against fast pitchers!!!!! But honestly these could be the two best teams is 2A.

Buna is a good team. they need to focus on hitting and quit arguing with eachother about who is playing and who is only batting .100. Just something I noticed after the game.

he really is the #2 pitcher....Crawford is #1... Aaron pitched a great game. The reason why everyone is talking about him is because he has not played since he made all district new comer on 3A. The real talk is Muscgrove batting almost .700. Also the SO Jones is batting almost .600.

It took a while for Kirbyville's bats to warm up along with a couple of baserunning mistakes and Errors. That will get you everytime. Not to mention a couple of questionable calls, one that let to 3 runs. But the boys never gave up. Kville had bases loaded with 2 outs in the 6th, McCually hits a screamer up the middle and HF short stop makes a unbelievable play. Winn had a great outing on the mound. The ball was just not falling Kvilles way last night....HF has a great team. I predict they will go far in 3A this year Keep your head up men...Lets take the wood to Buna today!!!

Kirbyville just hits the ball and pitches well. And that was without 2 starters, (Hazlewood and Sims) track and tennis tourn. Its time to realize their just that good this year!!!!
