West Orange Stark Mustangs vs Jasper Bulldogs

My thoughts exactly. WOS has had a short field because our defense has been playing lights out. -

Guess I imagined it, then. No big deal, I'd rather us be the under dog. -

Yep, maybe a little confidence is all the kid needed. He's shown flashes of being capable here and there. -

I'm pretty sure you and another person were discussing Bellville being the only hope to take out CS or Carthage. Did I imagine that? -

I think the Mustangs are too. Last night was the best I've seen them play yet. Need to keep improving, but I thought we looked better. On a side note, I love that the Bellville people are already booking their trip to play Carthage or China Spring... -
Bellville has a big task long before they ever get to either China Spring or Carthage.

I agree, everybody looks like world beaters against this HJ team. We have a LONG way to go regardless of how we looked against a down HJ team. We still have WAY to many penalties and we are WAY too undisciplined. We still MUST develop and work on our passing game because we are not going to line up and run over teams with equal talent. We have a good line and great backs but a talented team can game plan to stop the run and force the pass and we have to be able to mix it up. Big difference in passing when you want and passing when the run isn't working. You won't beat the Carthages of the world without being able to force them to respect the pass. -
Is this the same guy that said it was going to be good to finally beat WOS?🤔 I'm guessing he meant some other year?

If you don't practice, you don't play. Been that way for 40 yrs at WOS. Don't matter what the reason is.
-
What makes you think we don't? We'd love to play Carthage. Win or lose.
-
In the scrimmages they ran nothing but the spread.
-
You were told incorrectly. Offensive and defensive lines are our strength and have looked good. LB is where we need some improvement the most.

It is just unbelievable. Ill be praying for him and those left behind. -
Strong Safety... at WOS, almost like an extra linebacker.
-
Our main RB, E Gales is a stud, too. Zigler is most effective right where he's at. Catching passes and running it a few times here and there.
-
He plays in the slot on offense. Also moves into the RB spot in Cobra.
-
It's Zigler

Looks like the WOS-O is going to be pretty solid.
-
You talking about Raymond Mallett? If so, I know he can play. I didn't see the scrimmage last week, but if he was on the field, his presence was felt.
-
Should be a great match up between he and Hunter.

It went about like I figured it would. Offense ahead of the D at this point. "Blown coverages" means the secondary "needs work" just fyi. 🤣 I like seeing the quick passes in space and letting our athletes be athletes. The new QB has a quick release with accuracy which is vital for those type of plays to work and has been missing the last few yrs. Downfield passing will have to get better, but I believe that will come. If we can spread the ball around like that we'll be hard to deal with. Not that worried about the defense. The PNG offense is pretty dynamic and is a tough assignment for a young D. You know they'll be where they need to be when it matters. T and Pierce will get the pieces in place. Thought it was a good dress rehearsal for both.

Who has the best chance to make it to state this year from SETX?

Verses PNG, at PNG.
