I finally watched the Texan Live broadcast last night. We could've won that game but not without our "horse" in the backfield. We were moving the ball before he got hurt. Again, everything has to go your way to win those games. We were looking good with the turnovers but the injury to our stud was a killer. On another note, someone the other day said we weren't really moving the ball when Gales was playing... well, we had a 74 yd TD drive and when Gales got hurt mid way in the 1st qtr he had 34 yards rushing. He was only in the game for 1 turnover (he broke his arm on the first play after the second turnover). You never know, had he been able to finish the game we might have been up 21-0 after those 3 turnovers and it's a different ball game.

I wouldn't be so sure of that.

CS will beat Gilmer by 21 points. Gilmer defense will be their undoing.

It would've been tough even with Gales. CS has a phenomenal team this year. We gave it our best shot. Congrats to CS. I do believe they will be your 4a DII state champ. Mustangs will re-group. Good bye to Elijah Gales, Hunter and Dontrey McClain. I coached them in MS and they've been warriors for the Blue and Silver. You men will be missed. I have a feeling that some big changes maybe on the horizon. Time will tell. There's no inside info or anything, just my gut. GL to all involved, if so. Mustangs 4 life!

Gales needs to become the biggest cheerleader out there! He can still lead without being on the field. We went flat when he went to the locker room. He needs to get them back in the game!

They do throw some, but prefer the run. If we stop the run and control the pass I’m hoping it’ll be the recipe for success. I’m not sure he can win a game with his arm, but he certainly can with his legs.

I agree, most of the time we ARE doing the crime. I see a bunch we get away with, too. It’s one of those things we need to clean up in a hurry.

I thought Carthage looked like they were going through the motion for most of the game. Maybe a little complacent? It can happen.

Well, WOS will have to play perfect. We have to eliminate the PF penalties, the bad snaps and we seem to lose every jump ball thrown this year. Like powerlifter mentioned in another post. We got some cleaning up to do, still. The up side is we can still improve and we have continuously improved. It's never been for a lack of talent and it's finally coming together and it'll have to continue or we will get boat raced by CS. I was truly astonished at the way we dominated the game last night after the 1st quarter. If we can put 4 qtrs together of mistake free we can advance.

Dang man, you Carthage fans are super sensitive. You said yourself that your offense has improved. That was my point. I really can give a rats behind about what broadcasters and coaches say about your defense, lol.

I like the effort, but you have the wrong year. WOS game against Jasper was canceled the year we beat Belville.

Man, I was trying to leave this alone, but I just cant... if performance against other teams is "irrelevant" then how can you make the assessment that Jasper is "not at Carthage's level"? Is that just a guess? Lol
