Just now seeing this…but let’s be real BU ain’t played nobody in non-district. BU has played: Nimitz, Kimball, Nederland, GCM, Sharpstown & Willowridge. Their opponents have a combined record of 16-27 currently, and BU is currently playing in a terrible YMBL tournament where the only team that could come within 20 points of them is Westbrook. Just not sure how games or tournaments like these get you ready for what’s ahead, especially when there are a lot more competitive games/tournaments you can schedule. My philosophy has always been the best go play the best, especially in non district the games literally don’t matter.

Green is a great coach and HOF…have tons of respect for him. But playing Nederland don’t get you ready for the gauntlet of a district in 21-6A or the playoffs. But great programs should always schedule tough & not duck any competition. Playing Nederland or playing in the YMBL does nothing for you besides cherry pick wins. That’s why I always commend guys like Peavy at DV, he goes & play the best of the best in non-district.

I talked to his dad in the barbershop not long ago…he stated he was graduating early but if Silsbee didn’t go to state in football…He would stay for the second semester to play bball & try to win a ring. However I’m almost positive with how credits & early grad works you can’t just up & say you no longer want to graduate early. Not sure if his dad understands that though.

I’m positive they never seen either team & simply based this game off the 12-0 records.

Yeah they’re doing pretty good so far. If they give Bailey time to get it his weapons on the outside NS is pretty unstoppable.

So the “UIL” has officially reported enrollment numbers from each school? Lol And again what does this have to do with D1 not being better than D2. You clearly have no clue about the talent disparity between the two divisions but go off.

I have no clue who is the smallest…no numbers have been made official by the UIL, those are the only numbers I go by. Never said they were inferior athletically genius. We all know that isn’t the case with Desoto, but them going into the D2 bracket & having success they never had in the D1 bracket literally proves my point about D2 being much weaker than D1. You think it’s a coincidence that the two times Desoto went to the D2 bracket they won state? Or the one time Cy-Fair went D2 they won state? Ask anybody who actually coaches at the 6A level & they’ll tell you the same. You’re trying to tell me your opinion about something you’ve never done, experienced & have any knowledge of imagine that…

I wasn’t wrong Katy has never won at the “6A D1” level…you assumed I was talking about 5A your bad. Whatever you say doesn’t changed the fact that the best teams play at the D1 level simple.

I knew that….I was more so speaking on 6A D1! Go look at Katy’s history in the D1 bracket at the 6A level…never sniffed a state title game. Yet you think it’s a coincidence that the moment they go D2 they end up in the state championship game? Lol

Not at all…one or two teams don’t make up the entire D2 bracket! There’s a huge talent gap between D1 & D2 teams. Anyone who knows any better will tell you this. There’s a reason why Katy & Desoto ain’t won state titles in the D1 bracket!

NS just struggled with Deer Park & Clear Springs…does that make DP or Clear Springs anything more than mediocre? Having a good QB doesn’t matter when you can’t match up in the trenches or have a defense. I’ve coached against Lagway when he was a freshman and they had him playing WR. I think he’s elite, however he hasn’t played any good competition all season. Giving up 52 points to the woodlands should tell you everything you need to know about this matchup.

They beat Atascocita for the first time in school history…what does that mean exactly?
