If PNG can stop the run and force SOC to pass it they have a shot. I haven't seen much from SOC in the passing game, however from a personnel standpoint they are severely outmatched at just about every position on the field.

I’m impressed with PNG’s staff from a schematics standpoint..they’re making LH pick their poison on the outside.

If I’m PNG I wouldn’t throw the ball again…they can get whatever they want in the run game. Their OL is dominating upfront.

First time watching a 5A game this year…PNG is HUGE upfront sheesh!

Just now seeing this…but let’s be real BU ain’t played nobody in non-district. BU has played: Nimitz, Kimball, Nederland, GCM, Sharpstown & Willowridge. Their opponents have a combined record of 16-27 currently, and BU is currently playing in a terrible YMBL tournament where the only team that could come within 20 points of them is Westbrook. Just not sure how games or tournaments like these get you ready for what’s ahead, especially when there are a lot more competitive games/tournaments you can schedule. My philosophy has always been the best go play the best, especially in non district the games literally don’t matter.

Green is a great coach and HOF…have tons of respect for him. But playing Nederland don’t get you ready for the gauntlet of a district in 21-6A or the playoffs. But great programs should always schedule tough & not duck any competition. Playing Nederland or playing in the YMBL does nothing for you besides cherry pick wins. That’s why I always commend guys like Peavy at DV, he goes & play the best of the best in non-district.

I talked to his dad in the barbershop not long ago…he stated he was graduating early but if Silsbee didn’t go to state in football…He would stay for the second semester to play bball & try to win a ring. However I’m almost positive with how credits & early grad works you can’t just up & say you no longer want to graduate early. Not sure if his dad understands that though.

I’m positive they never seen either team & simply based this game off the 12-0 records.
