It's a neutral field, a good stadium, large enough for a couple of 5A schools that travel well, it's available, and it was agreed to by the two head coaches. Two other Texas schools are playing there also right now, btw ... Newton and Dangerfield.

PNG needs all of the luck. Apparently Texarkana doesn't need any luck; they've already got this one in the bag, and looking ahead to SOC. (That's per the TH fans. The TH coach did a pretty level headed interview; it's on line somewhere.) But safe travels to everyone, on both teams.

I'm too late to this thread, so someone in charge add one more vote for LaPorte for me. I'm thinking they're going to take it to A&M&C.

I too, wish #15 was healthy and playing. And also another RB (can't recall the #), who went down in the first game of the season. But, some others have stepped up and are hard runners. I'm really looking forward to watching this game.

Still, from what little I saw, it should have been a much closer game. WOS was missing some fundamentals on defense, and a lack of imaginative play calling on offense. Just my opinion as an objective observer on Texan Live, which was horrible btw, but that's another story.

I didn't see the halftime end zone meet up, but I heard that the DC McDaniel and Coach J. were there talking at the end of the 1st half. McD was in the press box rather than sideline for the first few games. I hadn't heard of Gary J. being there until your post.

For sure. They can take it to anyone if they want it, and if they play with the intensity that they had last Thursday. Last Thursday game reminded me of the last 2 season's teams.

You must be referring to LaPorte's defense? PNG scored 49, but gave up 35. It's been a few weeks since that game, but if I recall, LP's 2 or 3 RBs and their QB looked pretty danged healthy to me. Edit: Looking back at the game thread, LP did have some defensive starters out for that game. That was an early season game, though; lots of changes on both teams since then, especially on defense.

Fixed it for you. They very well could have but didn't, and got beat.
