I hate that this game ended in the manner that it did. But it was a crazy game from the get go, sort of. Or perhaps from the mishandled kick off. I saw BU mishandle a kick-off like that against PNG in '22. Going way back to the 60s, Groves Jr High recovered two kickoffs for TDs in a row against Port Arthur Edison Jr High. The Edison coach was livid.

I'm not questioning the Huntsville field goal decision, although I probably would have gone for it myself. I did however question PNGs play calling at the close of the 1st half. That long pass into coverage was silly, and not necessary with over a minute left. Anyway the game was definitely a tale of two halves.

Those areas all appear to be growing, with Starbucks and everything! I need to take a drive up Hwy 90 sometime; I guess the last time I was in Dayton was 2023, and Crosby, I don't remember, 2021 maybe. Anyway, good luck to all of the teams, should be some good games.

I won't be surprised to see Crosby win this one by a touchdown. On a side note, I still have trouble seeing Crosby classified as 5aD1, for some reason. It's been a while since I drove through there. Up Hwy 90 from Dayton, I guess they rate having a Starbucks . (Dayton doesn't have a Starbucks, but they beat Crosby.)

#2 Randle beat #3 Iowa Colony last week in a close game, and this week #2 stays #2 and #3 drops to #4.. #4 PNG moves up to #3 after pounding unranked Lake Creek. Randle did come back from a 21-0 deficit for the win, so there's that. But I probably still would have just left #s 1-4 alone for the time being, not knowing anything else. But no matter, it's what happens this Friday night that matters. BTW was Huntsville previously ranked in the top 10?
