Whatever else one may think, I don't think Pres. Trump ever took one of those Dale Carnegie courses, how to win friends and influence enemies. He's really preaching tonight, though.

They got the same punishment that HD did. No playoffs.
It’s like this… two guys go to jail for a month. One of them was homeless and the other one a working man. The homeless guy gets a roof over his head, three meals, a day, and a mattress to sleep on. Net win.
The working man loses his job and his truck gets repossessed while he’s in the can…. But the punishment was the same.
Fair is where you go to eat a corn dog and kiss a pig. HD had more to lose and fought anyways-that just dumb.
I think you're just being a troll, but anyway that's a poor analogy. And it's a poor result from UIL, to withdraw a team from playoffs, that isn't in the playoffs anyway. It's like punishing a 10 yr old by "taking away" his/her non-existent driver's license. It's just an old fashioned cop out by the UIL, is what it is.

It's Randle's third year at playing varsity sports so they have all four classes in their enrollment.
They may be 6A next realignment, but their enrollment now is four classes and not just 2 or 3 like some new schools.
So, are you agreeing with gary-us-bonds? Or disagreeing. What did he mean by his statement, and what do you mean by yours? I'm just curious.

I think I've seen more kickoff returns this season than in the previous 2 or 3 seasons combined. Missed field goals too. Too bad for the SOC kicker, but you can't pin the whole loss on him.
Anyway, I won't be surprised if both of these teams are back in the state game again next year.

3 penalties on SOC 2 on Randle
A useless stat, it seems.

I was very pleased to see PNG win district; I knew it would be tough. The first two playoff games were a breeze, and the team played lights out for the Texarkana game, but were completely out of gas for the SOC game. Still, the team had a monkey on it's back until the loss to Nederland, and they went further than I thought they would.
Next football season? Who knows. There are a few returners that had lots of playing time; but all else remains to be seen, including the coaching.

Man y'all need to stop with all of this foolishness, it was all good a year ago! I watched #4 in the first series on defense bumping into two SOC kids after the play making his presence known ( i get it nothing wrong with that). I saw PNG OL doing extra activity after plays. When PNG OL make pancake blocks, they lay on the kids as well and talk noise ( i get it nothing wrong with that). Thats what come to those kinds of games. "It gets chippy" as the announcers would say. Stop belittling SOC kids and coaches. Its always an excuse, like the SOC head coach said. What's your new excuse? Gloves? open enrollment? etc.? y'all are some sore losers on every level all the way down to flag football in y'all youth organizations. The post i've seen from PNG supporters is ridiculous and sad.
D___ right. Over on the PNG Football forum, the entire PNG vs SOC thread was deleted by the Mod/Owner or whoever. (And it should have been,; it was really getting ridiculous.) I did a little crying and belly-aching myself, but now it's on to the next season. #4 got a good deal to play 2 sports at Lamar. And #74 got a good deal to play for Texas U. I don't know if any others, but anyway ...
PNG had a pretty good season, IMO, based on my observations. But they were as flat as a pancake for the SOC game. It happens.

Several good teams were eliminated yesterday and today. Congrats to LaPorte for a great season and good run in the playoffs.
And especially congrats to Angleton! (I failed to add earlier)

Well, that was like Custer's last stand but reversed, for the Indians. But it was a good season for PNG, in our district, and our region, to get to the quarterfinals.
SOC is good, of course, but they were supercharged last night. They were everything that everyone was saying about that defense, all of my boo-hooing aside.

The Indian D has caught up with them. They need to fight, and forget a clean game, the refs aint throwing flags tonight.

I know it's easy for me to say, but the way the TH QB telegraphs, and winds up for his passes, I'm surprised there weren't more pics. He's definitely a good athlete, and with great receivers, maybe that's why. Anyway, TH has a good team, and it was a good game, but not good for my nerves, for sure,

I just read the Port Arthur News piece this morning, regarding the new AD. The article implies that the new AD and the current HFC are buds. I hope so. I wonder why the lady that was hired earlier backed out.
Anyway, regardless of what's going on there politically or otherwise, as an outsider I've wondered in the past why the Memorial soccer teams (both boys and girls) weren't better, and perhaps other sports as well. Hopefully it will work out well for the kids, for football and all other sports in the district.
