They ran a 6-2, rather than the 5-1 they have had all season. Good move because it gives them 3 hitters in the front row on every rotation. New hitter on the right side, and another girl played a lot more than she did against us. One of their hitters played a back row rotation tonight and did well. 

Here's the thing... they had a hall of fame coach in CT.  There was petition passed around to have him replaced because he was a "racist."  Then he retired.  Many in the community had already expressed a desire that the next HC at WOS be black.  Because, of course, some people wrongly believe that it's not racist to say "yeah, we're gonna hire a black dude this time."  By the time that the applicant list was released, there were only 13 applicants for the position of Head Coach of the winningest football program in Texas.  13.  
Do you want to guess how many people applied for the last opening for a perennial loser like BC? 
But don't take my word for it.

This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up How many of those 13 applicants weren't black?  Three or four by my math... and the reason is that EVERYBODY knew that the folks making the decisions in West Orange were going hire a black dude, no matter what... especially in light of the petition that they passed around to get rid of the best thing that ever happened to West Orange Football.
So you really shouldn't be too surprised when the people who follow the sport are delighting in the fact that the community/admin's racist ploy to hire "a coach that looks like us" has blown up in their faces.  
My opinion?  WOS should have hired the best guy for the job (regardless of his/her skin color), but it was gonna be hard to find another Hall of Fame coach... and previously playing for one or even working as an assistant under one won't do the trick, as evidenced by the win/loss records of guys like Toby.  
But you only have yourselves to blame for the mess you find yourselves in now.  Who knows?  Maybe if you hadn't been so overt in your branding CT a racist and then publicizing the fact that y'all didn't care if a coach was any good, just so long as he was black, you'd have gotten some decent candidates.  The public and the admin decided that some things were more important than winning, and they got what they asked for.

Most WOS people never speak up for our city, or the kids only to criticize. Question do the WOS school district give LCM money for your school support, if so I repeat SHUT UP!!

I don't disagree with you, PNG losing to 3A Buna twice is an even worse look than losing to Sterling.
 
Maybe disregard the TGCA poll too since they ranked PNG soley on record with no account of who they have beaten or lost too. They need to get more voters because its way off. Reference the TVI poll  instead which is 100 times more accurate.
As far as who would I rank above them, well that is the issue IDK.  I think with only 4 games played though while other teams have played 10 plus games should maybe make them an incomplete. No beef with BC other than I know they are not in the same class of the teams they had the previous two years.  The KSA tournament is not a good tournament unless you just want to visit Disney World. That is interesting because the best high tournament in the country is going on this week in the Austin Area with Volleypalooza. You want to get challenged that is what you sign up for not KSA.

I agree with you.  Bridge City has only played four games.  Two of them were Dayton and United. Sterling has been their only competition so far. PNG should be in 2nd place knowing they are 12-3.  If they were still playing each other August 25 like they were suppose to, then it would determine who actually should be in 2nd place.

I agree. I expect LCM to win district or come in 2nd to Vidor. I heard that BC lost their stud freshman to a injury and their senior setter graduated. They won't be as good as they were last year.

Agreed. They’re not getting past Friendswood. Sterling should get by Santa Fe but would face Fulshear in 2nd round. 

Pretty shallow to think ego is the motivation for all HC or AD interests.

Coach bashing is done by morons that think they know more than they do because they sit in front of a TV for most college/pro games.. in turn making them believe that their knowledge supersedes the individuals that actually spend a majority of their week preparing, practice planning, studying game film, talking amongst actual peers/professionals in the field of coaching, facilitating practices, managing student/athletes on and off the field, juggling students' mental/psychological issues, holding students accountable for good/bad play and classroom behavioral circumstances, along with a limitless list of other dealings that go into what affects decisions made during a game.. while trying to win said game.
Coach bashing is also done by people that would've played D1 "but their coach didn't like them".  It probably had nothing to do with them being a below average player at an average (at best) high school with average to below average competition.  I'm sure that people who bash coaches spend some time coaching peewee and telling the kids/parents that they were All-State when they played and had chances to go pro but got hurt.  I'm sure that people who bash coaches couldn't do 10 pushups today or run 100 yards in an afternoon.

I have attended high school sporting events for many decades. One thing I have learned, regardless of sport, the bleachers are full of coaches. (game officials too)
