Don’t know much about the team this year, but the coaches (baseball and softball) have the fields looking great.  The baseball field has gotten a lot of work.  Best of luck to the Yellowjackets this year on the diamond!!!!!!

I heard the baseball team had enough for a JV team this year.

    did the fields get lights?

oh! dis pleasure of the dirty football Silsbee played leading to Barbay not scheduling them for 2 years?

you were not alone. the overwhelming majority of people who saw what happened felt the same way.

he (Barbay) was very much supported by our community for what he did.

Be careful you are talking about his kinfolk.

He taught him to be that way.....

    Can't you tell?

Depending on the situation…. Idk what position the kid played BUT losing a ace pitcher in baseball vs losing a great outfielder or infielder isn’t the same

i don't care how good of pitcher  or player you are if you are a distraction in the dugout/field getting rid of that person will make your TEAM better.

i watched a local team lose 2 D1 pitchers(one was distraction).  the next year when the TEAM did not have the distraction the they won a state title.

ok here ya go, confirmed from casebook. First, the runner on 3rd did not attain home before the TIME OF THE PITCH. So it doesn't matter when the ball hit him. Since it was a legal pitch it is called what it is, in this case a strike which is strike 3 on the batter. Since this is the third out, no run is scored since this is not a timing play. It is a dead ball.

If this had happened with less than 2 outs, all runners on base advance one base on a runner hit by a pitched ball. Then the run would have scored and the batter would still be out on the pitch.

Do you train all the umpires at ford park and in the area?

Thirty years ago, who’d ever dreamed so many HS would have Art Turf.  No doubt many pros & cons, but definitely aesthetically attractive.  And with the amount of rain we get in East Texas it makes the game better.  Sadly most smaller schools will never get it, so if you miss the nostalgia of a grass field, there’ll still be plenty in the Evadale’s & West Hardin’s of SETX.

Congrats to the Cardinals.  Perhaps this will rekindle the football enthusiasm in Bridge City.  Being in 11-4A-2 will tear your heart out.

i heard BC had a GIRLl in 8th grade this year who is going to get them to the playoffs again......
