I forgot all about this thread 🤣 he did call it. Good call @powerlifter
look at this @Crawford @HikeMoncho
I would shake his hand if I could. Once every 2-3 years you can be right on predicting Carthage not winning a State championship. 🤷♂️

Thank You guys ya'll know I can handle it, I don't knock nobody for supporting their school. I be darn if somebody tells me how to support mine.
I don't recall telling you how to support your program. Maybe something was lost in interpretation somewhere. I simply asked what "on top" meant to you. You were the one that fired back with a "figure it out."
I figured you out. And the entire WOS fanbase. If you guys get excited about and are content with winning a terribly weak district every year and then losing a few rounds into the playoffs ever year, more power to you. You will rarely be disappointed. It's a solid strategy!

I assumed you were already rich! But glad to know that I could help you. I wish nothing but the best for you, my friend. Outside of WOS winning. I can't do that one. I'm sure you understand.

Don't be sorry, be careful. Majestyk gonna serve up some medicine and there ain't nothing good about it. What would you know about being on top. Carthage was bottom feeders for so long they were called the Slabs not the Bulldogs. Finally get on a little run around 2008 and win a title in the Era they're giving away 12 trophys instead of 5. If WO-S followed the almighty on-top Bulldogs lead we'd win our first state title in 2043. I'm guessing most of those folks up that way are ate up with it like you, drove thru there a couple weeks back and everyone was driving a convertible, 90% of those folk couldn't fit in a car with a roof. The 'Dogs have been on a roll lately and should be proud, they've been the best. WO-S may not always end up on top but have been competitive every year since they were born, and yes, we're proud. And no, you didn't hurt my feelings, that ain't gonna happen. Now you need to run along, you're in over your head here. Behave yourself and I'll see to it these good folk let you keep coming over here and visiting with us.
Oh look, it's the select few. Took you long enough, your Majesty.
WOS people love to tout the record of their program and about how many program wins there are but I see only 4 state titles. So it sounds like an awful lot of wins when it didn't matter and an awful lot of choking (also an indictment on the weak opponents played, and I know that some of that can only be helped so much depending on where you are geographically). But I suppose that is something to feel awesome about when you don't have as high standards as others. Probably a happier, more content life for most people when their benchmark for excellence is much lower than to be the best. You don't have to succeed near as much or often and just tell yourself and others like you how awesome things are and how great you are.
I don't intend to hurt anyone's feeling and haven't talked to you in awhile, so it's good to know that I didn't hurt yours. I'm just being REAL about what a few of you can't be real about. I know their are several on this forum that roll their eyes at the way some of you post.
Ask anyone who has ever played and/or coached the sport and I'd be willing to bet anything that most would rather win more titles more often than have a winning percentage built beating up on the "slabs" (dumb word, but you seem to like it so I'll help you out by using it) which WOS has built a namesake on.
Hike Moncho has never been in over his head a day in his life. There is nothing you nor anyone could ever throw at me, especially not the corny, weak, incredibly soft "jokes" that you attempt to make, that could make me feel that way.

How about I DON'T CARE WHAT YOUR DEFINITION IS!!
Anyway I'm trying to understand how is it that WO-S is your business. You are not for "The triangle" You may want to bypass my post! As I will yours.
I’m sorry you didn’t like the taste of your dose of reality. But Hike Moncho is serving up that good medicine nonetheless.
I don’t have anything against “the triangle”. I have just never been fond of people who act like the program they follow is way more awesome than they truly are. A few select WOS fans for instance.
But by all means, if I hurt your feelings just don’t read or reply to my posts anymore.

I'm at work so quickly. "On top" in the mix to win, always going to be good. figure it out HikeMoncho
When I hear "on top" I first think "the best". Thanks for clarifying because as we can see here it can mean two drastically different things to people. By my definition, WOS hasn't been on top since 2016. By yours, it's still a little foggy still because good is subjective, but in the mix to win... what? Win a game? Win more games than you lose? Win state? You should probably figure that out. Regardless, we know its a much lower standard than my definition of "on top".

Keep dreaming as long as the bloodline exists in Orange they (Mustangs) will be on top, no matter who is coaching.
Define "on top".

Carthage 08, 2010, 2013, 2017, 2019, 2020
All those years ranked in top 100 nationally. I only included years ranked inside 100, not sure what parameters you were considering. And last year was certainly 4A Div 2.

I’m starting to believe that this magical football field is out there in West Orange somewhere. Maybe the grass is overgrown and you can’t see it right now.
Powerlifter was supposed to have mowed it by now but he has been way too busy working on his WOS fan fiction novel

wow the speed was just out of this world they were all over the place and man some head hunting was going on.
I really wish I could get as excited as you do when my team beats the brakes off a crappy opponent.
Usually I am just like, “that was nice.”

Vidor JV vs WOS JV at Jerry World
or maybe we can play at the magical football field he was talking about.
This would likely set attendance records and be broadcast to every household.

SM is kind of like the young man telling an old about how good his eyes were. The young man ask the old man “can you see that red bug on that tree across that field”. The old man replied, no but I know he is their. The young man said if you can’t see him how do you know he is their? The old man replied, “ because I can hear him”.
This post fits in well on a thread created by Powerlifter. Made about as much sense.

Would you happen to be referring to the WOS JV team that coaches across the land will not stop asking about? I heard it again today.

Going to go out on a limb and say that Chester remains 6-man.
Does Chester still leave the donuts that have been cut in the field and just play with them?

looks like they scored 3 times on Carthage yet still lost by damn near double the points that we did. LMAO
when it comes down to it a "L" is a "L" no matter what.
I am just saying...(ya know, like you were)
BTW(by the way), this is Jasper vs Shepherd not Center.
And not to take anything away from Center, but two of those were busted coverage/assignment type things. But that’s part of the game and happens to everyone.
For example, it appeared to me that on Carthage’s first TD on Jasper there was a mixup in the Jasper secondary.
Its just hard for me to imagine Jasper losing this one, even with the offense not doing much.

Powerlifter, I would absolutely love for you to write some WOS fan fiction. I know I can't be the only one. Can you make this happen? 🙏

I have come on this forum before and at times intentionally been a bit of a turd and antagonist, but over on the Smoaky forum I was constantly entertained by Powerlifter and grew to love his posting. I enjoyed interacting with him on there as well. RIP and prayers to his friends and family! Any thing he posted and any thread he started was a Must read.
