Just like us vs. Shepherd. For the longest it really wasn't much of a rivalry until 2004 (the only win they have gotten against us in that decade). After our state run in the 2010s they have gotten more competitive to damn near kicking our butts every year outside of this past season. So now our fans on both teams in San Jacinto County look forward to this match-up every year now.

It's true although I can't explain on how we've been playing as of lately.

Also another reason... Everybody that I've talked to that stays south of Lufkin they said that they would definitely like it if it was in NRG for travel reasons alone.

I understand completely but when the state line-up consist mostly of D/FW teams then this is the outcome. If more schools outside of PNG, North Shore, Katy and any of the Richmond teams can at least make it to state I can guarantee more fans will come out and vice versa with teams from the Austin/San Antonio area. Only reason why this is happening is because of Jerry Jones and his billion dollar playpen. Let the McNair's build a stadium out here like that (especially since the Texans are the best team in Texas right now) then Houston would definitely get that much media and attention.

Don't matter... It still needs a rotation. The D/FW area can't have all the attention on them all the time like that. Some of us Texas High School Football fans want to actually attend some games for state that is corresponding to the city that is close by sometimes.

Coldspring-Oakhurst: Made the playoffs for the first time in a few seasons, beat Shepherd for the first time in a few seasons as well. Played very good in district outside of the East Chambers game. Outside of that nothing to brag about.

The point I'm trying to make is do not act your entitled to something as a program that you think is rightfully yours no matter how the coaches coach. Be thankful that you earn your way here because how the players executed the coaches' strategy wherever you think it's right or not... Yall are here so give us Southeast Texans a victory.

Honestly be satisfied with that because yall are going state. I remember the last time we went to state and our folks didn't even act like that so some humility needs to be had. For us unfortunately we basically started Carthage's run for what it seems like unlimited state titles but Woodville does have a chance to win this one but yall have to play the "COMPLETE GAME" otherwise yall won't stand a chance because Gunter is more structured than yall. However I do believe in yall to get this $@!* done. Make us all proud to win it all.

Woodville yall are the only ones left... Please win this one for our area.

One of Longview guys ran into the kicker but the way I saw it it really was that bad and I don't think a call should have been made there.

Yes like @BBfan061 said Shepherd is pretty decent this year. Should be one of the teams that gets into the playoffs from that district this year. It's more about Kashmere being very down instead.
