Same coaching staff and not a whole lot of talent. The Junior class is going to be decent, I don’t know if many sophomores will make varsity, the senior class will be weak like last season’s class
Under this coaching staff, I look for the season results to be anywhere from2-8 to 5-5 and sitting at home again with district record either 3-4 or 2-5
Posters that are honest and correctly evaluate the game know that last year, the team played like an HISD school

Well the Cards did not play well today. The poster that said that it is asinine to expect 19-22 year olds to consistently win has low expectations I tell you what is asinine in my opinion is to pitch a guy in a conference game that has an ERA of 13.50. That wonderful Lamar ERA you mentioned, doesn’t look to wonderful to me. In my opinion it was a horrible coaching mistake. The result was not good.
The news worse than that is that they play the 4 worst conference teams at home and the top 4 on the road and the way they have played the past 5 of 6 games is not good.  They could start conference 1-2 at home the way they are playing now.
Yes you are correct in stating their hitting is lousy now as well.  As I have mentioned several times Davis can’t get the job done

I do not care about ERA. I care about wins. Missouri 10 runs with 6 HR’s, 7-3 9th inning choke vs St Louis, followed by a 1st and 10 th inning choke. I would say the past 3 games have had poor pitching by the Cards

Played a good game vs Missouri  Had a very good chance in top of 9th until one of their weakest hitters came to the plate. Just not much from the mound today. 13-4 still not bad. Hopefully win 2 of 3 in St Louis

Another very nice win for the Cards. Played really well except for the starting pitcher 12-3 now,  let’s get the sweep tomorrow 

Super dominant pitching tonight and did enough on offense.   11-3 is nice. Hopefully another win tomorrow.  Should have some fresh pitchers on hand tomorrow Good job Cards

#1 LSU put a spanking on the Cards tonight. Not quite ready for the big dogs. Hopefully have a good weekend series vs UC Riverside. Still 10-3

Yes doing away was in jest. Just can’t believe how poor most of Lamar’s athletic programs have gotten. It is a shame

PNG is still in contention and always root for them. Would absolutely love for the Indians to win. Just being realistic on the probable outcome

I think I have finally realized why the Bulldogs are having such a bad season
Due to several players quitting at the beginning of this season the majority of players that they still have should have been on the JV team
so this season the Bulldogs are having to play a varsity schedule with mainly a JV roster

I have the right to post my opinion (mainly facts) as you do
Your questions should be similar to mine and that is why are the Bulldogs so bad this season

I like that your wife is from Nederland and teaches there and that you had sons play and other relatives and that you back the Bulldogs
what I don’t like is that when you disagree with someone else’s post they either can’t stand the coaching staff or something happened during their childhood days or they are ignorant on talent.  For some unknown reason you think that your post are the only ones that count
For your information I was raised in Nederland, graduated from Nederland, played for Nederland  and have always supported Nederland . I went to see state championship games at Nederland in 1956-57. The Bulldogs had pretty good football teams in the 50’s, 60’s, and early 70’s
The late 70’s and 80’s were not good, then when Neumann was hired thinks started getting much better So I have been to many more Nederland games than you
The reason you keep bashing me is because you don’t care for the facts from the end of last season until now. You posted the talent is there  If the talent is, Why isn’t it showing up?  

Again the facts for this season are simple:
The team is bad :1-6,  the coaching is bad m, all you have to do is watch how they are playing this season to know that
Yes I am hoping next season will be much improved , however I am not posting positive comments just for the heck of it, because I state the obvious facts KF 89 
If you think these facts are inaccurate, please tell me why they are getting destroyed and there is little or no improvement

The Nederland players are probably giving their best, however if you watch their games, the way they play shows poor coaching. They are not the only team in the state to have to play younger players. They are simply not coached well. I can see them having a tough year, but getting blown out every game with the exception of Willowridge tells me me the coaching is not there this year

Yes they are young, however just about every team in Texas plays with some sophomores and yes they may be playing hard but they don’t deserve better They have a ton of turnovers, dropped passes, poor secondary coverage, poor tackling, poor blocking, and poor special teams play, so I will agree with youth and playing hard, however I can’t go with  deserving better after being destroyed in 5 of their 6 losses

I agree on changing offenses  You have to do what is best for your personnel # 12 looks like he would be a good RB. I just don’t understand why they can’t develop a QB
You certainty have a good point on the offense though IMO

I suppose you are right, I shouldn’t get on their case, because they are not going to get any better this year
