Maybe Huffman isnt a "one trick pony" after all
HF was without two starters, one is their leading scorer and rebounder. They just didn't have enough firepower. Huffman had good first half shooting was 40-49 at the half. HF got it down to 5 in the 3rd, but Huffman just had more on offense then HF and was able to find scoring down the stretch. HF was basically depending on just 2 players for the bulk of their scoring who accounted for 36 of the 50 points. Huffman had a solid showing from their 3 main scorers. They are very discipline as well in what they do

Which starters are out right now? Did they get hurt?
Yes, both with leg injuries but they lost due to just having a bad shooting night that's all.

No knock on the kid but I don’t think he would even start for BU 🤔 Who spot he taking?
Brock would start for BU hands down and would dominate playing with their big 3. BU starts a freshman at the PG and Green would simply move him to the bench. Brock would add a 6'7 big that can play the 3 through the 5 and can shoot.

Well, if HF started out flat like they did against Liberty on Tuesday, then this score does not surprise me. Livingston is a good team, and it is a good road district win against a potential playoff team as well. I believe the final score was 55 to 48 and guess HF got those 2 points after all. 😂
They weren't flat at all. The score reflects a starter getting hurt in the 3rd, another in the 4th, and the PG failing out in the 4th when they were up by 10. Would have been a 20 piece easy had those two factors not happened. Livingston played were sticking their knees and feet out on defense. Both the JV and Varsity games saw multiple injuries to HF players and the refs allowed it in some cases. HF had two starters go down become of it! One with a knee and the other with a an ankle. Both plays were due to defenders sticking a knee and a leg out.

30-29 HF at the half
Livingston scoring table literally didn't put two points scored by HF and gave Livingston one right in front of everyone and the refs did nothing!

Yea figured, HH gonna take this district with ease.
Lol they lost to HF last year with this same team in the playoffs and HF wasn't as good as they are now. If anything they split the two games, but no way HH running away with anything.

From NFHS rulebook:
4-10: A closely guarded situation occurs when a player in control of the ball in his/her team’s frontcourt, is continuously guarded by any opponent who is within six feet of the player who is holding or dribbling the ball. The distance must be measured from the forward foot/feet of the defender to the forward foot/feet of the ball handler. A closely guarded count must be terminated when the offensive player in control of the ball gets his/her head and shoulders past the defensive player.
fyi: Another defensive player can pick up the 5 second count if closely guarded is still maintained
so that means the ref blew it

Why is Silsbee ranked and hasn't won a game yet?

Nederland is gonna win the district the way they are playing!
Lol calm down. HF lost because of missed free throws late in the 4th and one of there starters slammed into the bleachers going for a steal in the 1st half of the game and really wasn't the same after that. Jackson was being put in check by Denson from HF who is only 6'1 and played him tough on both ends getting him in foul trouble. The trio of forwards from BU will have him fouled out by half time lol. HF played solid, but made mistakes and missed free throws last 2-3 mins of the game. They lead the entire game until the end of the 3rd
