Saying Gunter “outclassed WV” is blatant realism. Saying WV has been mediocre for its history is also realism, and was pointed out to illustrate the outrageous delusion of the WV supporters who are not happy with last year’s results. In regards to the coaching, just parroting the nonsense that some of the delusional WV fans have been saying by running down the best coaching job in the history of the school. If you check the transcript you will see where I have commended the coaching job multiple times.

Considering that the history of WV is “mediocre”, you do the best you can and if you make a leap to the State Championship where you are against a team that outclasses you, you should be happy. There was no chance that WV could beat Gunter (even if WV had good coaches).

Can’t wait for the next coach.

Understood. Tidehaven is not Gunter. I am certain that the coaches were fully aware and knowledgeable enough to “make a couple of offensive adjustments”. They likely made or wanted to make several adjustments that did not work or they were unable to implement due to Gunter defense. I have found over the years that few in the stands have any idea what is going on through the headsets or on the sidelines.

Has Franklin ever beat any of those teams without a “vertical passing game”? WV was “not going to beat a team like Gunter” because Gunter had better players. The WV coaches just completed the best season in the history of Woodville. There was no offense known to man that would have changed the outcome of the Championship game for WV.

I cant remember where I saw it but I think there is a "higher than normal" pace for HC vacancies this year.

Coldspring open. Coach Stanley has retired.

There is no “renovating” the Coldspring gym. Could be renovated to be a practice facility. If Coldspring were to host something for basketball it would take a new facility all together. There is not enough room in the current gym to accommodate a playoff game regardless of how nice it is.

Be interested to hear from some of the Silsbee folks. Hard to count them out given recent history.
