Nederland PLAYERS have not and will not be arrogant. They are however a determined TEAM who wants to win their DISTRICT,then WIN a STATE Div 1 Title. They work hard and  play hard and that as coaches,parents and fans is all we can ask of them. Neumann will not stand for a team that not respectful. 

Kolby is a great young man with a bright future ahead of him. The News needs to get the facts straight tho this is his 3rd season as the starting DE. He is part of what could be one of the best defenses Nederland has had in years . Washington and Couron on the ends and Pryor and Malveaux in the middle will make a lot  offensive line coaches crazy on who to block because you can't double team them all. They are all so unselfish and love to play the game. Here is to a bright future Kolby!!!

The Nederland defense has some work to do to get better but that was a good start. The real surprise was the Dawgs offense that looked better. The 4 horsemen on that defense line play very well together.

28 yards was the official total or Orange County Leader reports. That is awesome. Sound like  Sept 28 could be Defensive game of the year.

Like everyone's vote of confidence. The boys had fun and played sound ball. Got to eliminate turnovers. Also I'd like the coaches to let offense play on for 4 qaurters.

WO-S 21 PN-G 7  if the Indians could not run last week they sure won't this week. O line better be ready for relentless Defense too.

So is THE GOOSE IS LOOSE like THE HILL IS FOR REAL? I say 28-7 DOGS. Offense has some confidence and the Defense is ready to prove they are for REAL!

Hey Bronx been trying to tell you that was [b]NOT[/b] Nederland starting defense last week against Dayton. There were as many as 6 back ups on the field from the start. It is a different defense when the 4 horsemen are up front and the starting secondary, but you keep thinking what you will. That starting defense has only allowed 14 points in the 2 games they played together. WO-S 7 Crosby7.

Nederlands Defensive 4 Horsemen are back together up front as well as most of starting D. The offense line is revamped and looked solid with some interesting changes. If they do thier jobs it should be a good night. Nederland 24-14.

Dayton has some really good speed in rbs. They did the bulk of the work with speed and agility. But not to make excuses Nederland started with 3 backups do to injury two on the line. Then lost one safety out due to injury and lost strong safety on first play of the game. It was not pretty and then lost another D linemen and starting linebacker in 2nd quarter. So pretty rough. Dayton has a lot of talent and will rule 19-4a as usual. Nederland has to get healthy and get a running game to boot. So Ned will be back at it , getting things to work.

That is  true but GOD forbid he gets hurt then coach has to fill 2 spots. Also there is  alot of wear and tear on a young mans body. Hey put the best team on the field but a good coach can develope a  good player into a great player.

where is scrimmage

Neither just a horrible fact of the game. Just have some injuries.

Seen some new  o line configurations today. It was expected after the  game. We will see if it is permanent and effective. Added some size up front. PN-G thanks for the confidence boost, but the DOGS got a good look at what it needed to work on. Every team in 20-4a is the team to beat.

Friday was just as predicted great defenses and  just average offenses. Was alittle surprised by the struggle of both offenses to move the ball. One big play and a missed assignment by the sophomore safety allowed  WO-S to score against defense. Learning curve to be expected. Nederlands offense  looked rough with o-line missing blocks and just over whelmed by speed of rush. WO-S blitz a lot and loaded the box after Nederlands wide receivers could not catch the ball. They dropped quite a few passes and when the blitzes came Carson did throw as crisp ball. WO-S defense is average size with excellent speed and everyone gets to the ball. Nederland D is big up front  with good speed in the secondary. The secondary got a good look at speed and did a good job with it . WO-S had a hard time running the ball and that is saying something. WO-S and Nederland will both have to work on running the ball and o-line effectiveness. Overall a 2-1 scoring advantage to WO-S is not a bad start but not what Nederland was looking for, but I bet it gets better from here as the playbook will get expanded and line will improve.

Just out playing the other team seems to be the correct answer. From 1st string to the backups. See who is ready to play.

I bet it did leave a bad taste. Getting beat 3 times in one season is hard to do especially with the talent GCM has. Sorry  scrimmages don't count 2 times. I see they added a new weapon this year too.

Slow down DOG fans. Let these young men get one scrimmage done. I am just as excited as the next guy, but one game at a time. They are  all aware of the excitement around them but lets not set that bar so high that if they stumble they free fall (aka Livingston).

The issue I see for the Titans is offensive line play. They look smaller and slower then last year. Of course with the Defense ahead of the game maybe thats the difference. Still say line plaey could be the difference.

Think they want to play a game scenario without kicking. Just something to tease all the fans.

They do look good. Got worry about WO-S speed first though. We will get a good look at speed and how we handle it. Then we get the size with Dayton and one heck of a kicker. Told Brock don't let them get past the 50 or it could be bad lol.
