1. Lord Almighty, I pray to you that your Angels will guide and protect each and everyone of these young men and women who participate in all UIL activities from danger and evil. Let them all remain injury free and may they always give GLORY to you for their success. Walk with them LORD each and everyday and fill their hearts with joy.   In JESUS CHRIST name I PRAY AMEN!!
2. They look good on film with quickness and speed. Is 76 and 74 still tackles this year or graduated. Nederland will really have to contain and tackle them the  first time. I see potential for  a lot of bubble screens and some option from those two. If the defense for Crosby is decent it may be who can outscore who.
3. Nederland too has a tough preseason. It is way too early to know what we be like health wise either. Angleton is not ranked where they are for no reason. Always fast and fierce . I do believe it could be a close defensive slug fest.
4. Thanks CAP ROCK. They do look good which means they will only be faster and stronger this year. Quick feet can kill. Something Nederlands D will really need to watch and work on.
5. I was asked a question today and I was not sure how to respond. I am a PN-G graduate, but Brock Pryor for Nederland is my son. That being said here is the question. If Nederland goes to the Reservation and beats PN-G for the third straight year will Faircloths  job be in jeopardy?
6. I can say Nederland has not had a very good track record with either  Dayton or Crosby. I do know the twin are good athletes but are they as good as Jakobi Jones and Tre Green who had a abig offensive line in front of them last year. From what I have seen  and heard Crosby o line is a little  smaller then normal which may be a problem, but good technique goes along way. As for the Dayton game it will be a tough fight with the lines going at it. A good learning game for both teams.
7. Trust me when I say no one on that field in Nederland is over confident but humble. They are hungry just like every other team out there. The  2011 Dogs set a good foundation that this team can build upon. They may not win every game but they will play their hearts out for each other because they believe in each other and they want to win for each other.
8. Wish these reporters would get facts checked and print them correct. DCTF had Brock Pryor at 6'1" at 180lbs. really maybe weighed that in 8th grade, and BE has him at last years weight and height as well as Caleb and Curon. Just saying!
9. Juron improved a lot over summer with size and strength. Barton was hitting the hole hard between the tackles. Tinsley looked good but was a little intimidated but good size with really good speed. Chris Henry really looked good at center.Chris really grew over summer too. I liked the way they all competed but now they have to get use to the speed and intensity of varsity play. They will all be well educated next Friday when WO-S comes to town. I can remember watching that came when Brock was a sophomore and how he and Curon matured so much by the end of that game.
10. For Nederland it will be the Vidor game. Then always our rivals from across the tracks PN-G But all of 20-4a can be dangerous thats why every Friday night is so much fun.
11. First day in pads and the DOGS sound good. Some surprises by underclassmen but the starting D looks awesome and O line looks to be solid as well. Big hits with good speed on the lines. Chris Henry is going to be a force at center really good size and foot speed. Just so pleased with the work and chemistry of this team. GO DOGS
12. Thanks everyone needs a little luck. Does Crosby still have a  some big o linemen. I remember the playoffs 2 years ago and they were  large.
13. The BIG question is the offensive line. Alot of BIG talent up front that is gone could make the offense a little tricky if not as good as last year or better with the loss of Qb to Baylor.
14. Hey falcon I will tell you the truth about Brock as he is my son. He is 6'1.25" tall and weighed 281 lbs the first day of practice. He has run a sub 5 at 4.98 but it is more like a 5.1 on average thru this summer. It all depended on the time of day and heat. He worked hard this summer to put muscle on and lose some belly . As far as the weights on the other D linemen they are right on. DeShawn 6'3" at 275 lbs and right at 5.08. Caleb Malveaux 5'11" at 291 lbs and 5.2, and Colby 6"3" tall at 240 lbs and 4.89. These were the first day of 2 a day weights. Tyhe 40 times are averages of several camp times over summer. As far as speed the twins are fast at 4.6 but Shaw ran as fast as a 4.4 this summer Zach Taylor 4.56 and this was after spring knee surgery. I seen both those times with my own eyes. We will not be the fastest team nor the biggest but we have an awesome team chemistry led by a great coaching staff. Good Luck this season and may it always be injury free. P.s. Brock does have some offers but that is our business lol.
15. Vidor better have a good offensive line this year. I know they lost several linemen because Nederlands front looks really good for just the 3rd day of practice. They surprised even me with the quickness. The size was a given but wow!
16. Not quite Big De is 6'3" at 275 to start season. Looks good on both sides of the ball. Bo is starting at TE right now and he looks really good alittle shorter at 6'1" 220 but faster then DeShawn.
17. Sorry forgot prediction 17-10 Nederland but might just be even closer at 14-10 Nederland.
18. You know what DOGS LOVE? BONESso pile them up because these DOGS are very hungry!
19. Did get a transfer from Cypress Spring. Sophomore about 5"11" with a good 4.5 speed. Playing DB or linebacker/ hybrid and a D linemen from Brazoswood. 2 days till the DOGS chase the Dream.
20. Nedrlands front 4 will average 270 lbs at 6'1.75" their largest lines in along time and add a 5th that is 6'2" 250 sophomore it could be a formidable line to play. Then 2 All-District linebackers that will average 6'0 at 215 lbs it will definetly be a challenge to run right at. I like our odds for sure but that is why they play . Can't wait. GO DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!
21. Nederland is confident but not over confident. We do have a good team with a lot of experience . Vidor is a strong team that is coming off the best year in decades. Nederland is not worried about Vidor .The DOGS have one heck of a preseason to get thru first. When the time comes the DOGS will prepare for Vidor like the prepare for every other team we play. One Team with One Dream 12/16/2012.   Nederland will play one play at a time and one game at a time no looking forward  and definitely not looking back. GO DOGS
22. We are Nederland and WE are just as PRIDEFUL of OUR BULLDOGS as any other team, but we will always RESPECT the team that lines up across from them even if they do wear purple and white LOL. I wish every team a great injury free season . With that said I hope Nederland beats every team they face all the way through 12/16/12 in Dallas. I f we do our jobs each week and play like a Championship team , everyone is invited to watch and cheer as Nederland fans would cheer on other teams from our area.
23. Last year is OVER and both teams fought tooth and nail and I expect the same this year. These are the 2 best teams on paper in 20-4a, but every Friday is a new night. My son plays for Nederland and has been a starter for 3 years now and he asks why Vidor  has so much anger towards Nederland. I tell him that they want to be as good as Nederland has been in making the playoffs and when they lose to either Nederland or PN-G it just adds fuel to a fire. I tell him all the time what practice, one play and one game at a time and we will be in Vidor soon enough. I think all the animosity Vidor has towards Nederland clouds their minds and just maybe feeds a into Nederland s paws. Hey GOOD LUCK to both teams .
24. A lot of hard work went into last year and it paid off, but this is a new year and I have seen  a lot of these young men work this summer as if they were  denied their dream. They want to prove they are worth a date on 12/16/2012. I tell these young men remember one play at a time and one game at a time. Good Luck and Play like there is no tomorrow. GO DOGS!!!
