1. The new kicker is Tanner Noel a sophomore. Watch him kick 5 for 5 from extra point to 45 yards in the wind today . Looked awesome.
2. If PN-G goes hurry up offense where Ozen can't rotate Dlinemen they will wear down before half. Just don't let Ozen recievers get behind you and play till the whistle blows. I bet Ozens dlinemens legs are still sore from Vidor hitting them all night.
3. Looks that way they have had some really great practices. Took a few days to get soreness from LIv out. They look fired up to keep proving that they have a good team. Central is the next step. Their new offense looks like fits the athletes they have. DIDBA will be in the house !!!!
4. So far Vidors Montana. He is great player that plays both ways and makes great plays both ways.
5. Big Ford if Ozen is the most prolific offense in 20-4a then Vidor shot that down last Sat. As i remember Livingston started the year as the best in district followed by PN-G and this Ned defense held both to season lows and Liv was scoring 40+points a game and scored 14. Both of these games were with starters out. Ned has a great team chemistry this year and execute excellent, each man doing his job. The best part is we are improving each week and have depth we have not had. As for our running game we don't have one workhorse we have 4 that all run well. Central is a tough team and will come to play, look at what they did to PN-G last year, but We ain't PN-G we are the Nederland Bulldogs. Oh yea DIDBA in the house.
6. Central off big win and Ned off a big win. Ned defense may finally be all healthy and offense improving each week. Central finding some offense without Mitchell but I do not think enough to beat Ned. Ned 24-10
7. Vidor 28-14, but Bollinger still in boot doubt he is back. If you don't need him don't rush him back let him heal up good.
8. It is weird to hear fans of one of the most successful teams the last few years get down on the team and coaching staff. Broncos still have great players and a great staff. If I was a betting man it is parents and fans talking down the coaches which makes the players doubt the coaches and themselves. Take a deep breath and just keep same faith and fire and those young men will succeed.
9. Great win against a really good team. Now we have i think 10 more games to win for a State Title, but I told my son the only won that matters is the next one. I think the best thing is Ned is improving each week. Just bring it to the Jags next week with that same intensity. DIDBA in the house.
10. Just a quick point last year a young defense slowed down one of the best offenses in the district with the best offensive line in district. This year the roles are reversed Ned has one of if not the best Def lines in district and Pn-G is new. Look out Mr Miller and Bertrand the BIG  DOGS are coming to town and they are hunnggrryy!!!!
11. Brock was cleared by Doc Johnston today to begin practice Monday. He has a hinged brace to protect arm but he is so ready to go. Again thanks to everyone for the prayers and good wishes. Pray for all the people who will participate in all the games from here on out may GOD keep them safe and injury free. Good Luck to all but I hope Ned rocks WO-S at least by 1 point .
12. Just wanted to say Thanks to all the people from all over southe east Texas who have wished him well and a quick recovery! It is really awesome. Thanks so much ANd GOD BLESS!!!! Go Dogs
13. The offense was executed very well. Raines played well good passes with smart decisions. Tro ,Edwin,Brett and Little hopkins all ran solid behind a line that had one returning starter Kanton Richard. Xwas out as was Deshawn the soph tightend. All the recievers had catches and some big catches at that. Kolbe had to play both Dend and tight end so he got alot of work and loked good on both sides. So offense is way improved and will only be better when startes return next week. Defense the front4 dominated both teams with Malveaux and Pryor filling the middle and great penetration.Curon and Carr both 6'4" keeping things inside mostly and closing down the screen plays. Then the linebackers Stampley,Woods,Hopkins and Delord were able to lay some lumber due to the front 4 line control. The CB and Safties did not get to much work but on the couple passes that were made were short and tackled almost immediatly. Taylor,Richard Brett and Kimler did really good. Cole kicked  very well and Zack Taylor returned 2 punts with a 23 yard avg. All in all they looked pretty good. There is room for improvment in all aspects. Ned did score 5 times and did not allow any points. Gal Ball was not to good on offense but good defense and GHoose Creek was just opposite. So we were proud and we will get a much better test next week at Dayton before we bring home the victory on WO-S. GO DOGS!!!
14. I am pleased to say after 1 week of practice BigNeds defense looks like a force Mr Faircloth better plan for. Oh and the offense looks like it is coming along alittle faster then expected. Hopes are high as are the spirt of the coaches. Neumann seems to have a little spring in his step and a bigger bark. Those boys were fired up and ready to hit each other today. They were loud ,proud and were hittn hard. It was fun to watch and hear.
15. Congradulations to Brock Pryor! He was selected to compete in the Elite Prospect Camp at the University of Oklahoma on July 23-24th. This started in  San Antonio at the end of May where he competed in a sophomore combine and from there was selected to compete in the Southwest region top 100 camp in Dallas. Due to his increasing performance he was selected as 1 of the top 15 sophomore defensive tackles in the nation to goto Oklahoma for 2 days of training and competition by the National Underclassmen group. Good job Brock ! We are so proud of the hard work you have put in!! ;D
16. Let's see 1.Nederland 2.Livingston 3.PN-G 4.Central 5.Ozen 6.LC-M 7.Vidor 8.Lumberton. ok 1and 2 may switch because of the amount of returners both teams have coming back but it will be a great game. Ned has a revamped offense with an experienced qb because hey all our qbs play every yr lol. Defense for Ned against Livingston offense with its returners will be great to watch. The deciding factor is they come to Ned to play finally. The Ned defense has 8 returning starters lost Trevin, Kemp Lat moves to offensive tackle, so the front 4 will be Kuron 6'3 235 junoir,Malveaux 5,11" 295 soph, Pryor 6'1" 270 junoir and Carr 6'4" 270 senior all but Mal are returners. Linebackers Stampley 6'1" 210 jr, Woods 5'11" 225 jr, Delord 5'11" 200 sr followed (all returning starters) in the back by Z taylor 5'10"165 jr, Tre Richard 5'9" 175 Sr, Geautreaux 5'9"185 SS jr and Kimler 6'1" 195 Fs soph. The offense for Ned had to replace 3 ol but 2 backups filled those spots and Raines got playing time as qb Brett Brown at FB Troy and Nelson both back and RB. Recievers will be Shaw at slot and maybe both K Hop boys. There is like 10 guys vying for reciever it has been fun to watch this spring. Only time will tell but can't wait to see  these boys suit up and beat some arse! Like said before Pray that all player have an injury free season AMEN. DIDBA will definetly be in the house. 17. Smitty  30 + years of no new schools is a real big cut ,sacrifice or is it you do not have any facts to back up your bullsht. Everyone on here including people from other schools have shown that Nederland is in need of new facilities. The poor shape of the schools speak for them selves no disputing that. is it as you call it keeping up with the jones that our schools are in the shape they are. No throwing millions on repairs for a couple more years of life is not the answer. That would be like givn you a facelift but still the same bullsht keeps comn out and you wont live no longer. They have served thier just time and the citzens have got thier moneys worth for sure. I know nothing will change your outlook but I am reall interested in where you think cuts can be made ,specific cuts, and the dollar values of those cuts. I have yet in all the bullsht you tell any solutions. Give them to us so I can see where they can be made. I hope you can answer this truly without answering with a question. Try really hard please. I think our kids deserve the best no matter what. One day they may be the kids who decide what goes on in your life.
18. That is Smiitys point he can't think for himself. I will be glad to pay more taxes if new schools are built with energy efficent, high tech classrooms. Smitty thinks he gonna take that money with him when he dies(Good Luck lol). Ned has excellent teachers and students that need excellent schools. Smitty open your eyes and your mind and look at almost every school district around big or small and they are building new schools. Take adrive anywhere around this state and you will see that s a fact that can't be disputed. Oh before you say no not all school districts are  but a majority are. I am proud as a PN-G graduate of the schools they have built and I won.t lie Iwould love to see my son play and beat those Indians on a new Nederland field but hey that can wait , but the schools are needed and if you had to pay with them with more taxes so be it . The future Ned students  deserve to have the best Period.
19. One thing to think about is that we are getting transfers from P.A. and not all of them have a strong educational foundation. This is not a excuse just a fact. PN-G is a school that these kids will not go to because they are looked down on but hey we will take them and all and try our best to make them better men and women. Do not get me wrong Pn-G and Nederland are very close on the Academic landscape according to state records, it is just harder for us because we have less money to start with. I think it is wrong PN-G has to give away so much money but even with that they start with more then we do period by alot say a million. One thing I can say for Nederland is atheletically especially this past year I do believe we beat them in every Uil  atheletic event except boys golf. So maybe it is true if we focused the business end which is academics we would be even more dominate so come on Dogs lets get it done in the class room. LOL On a side note my son has a 3.43 GPA on a standard 4.0 scale no Honors or Ap as of this yr and he is 191 out of 397 in his class so they must have one group of smart sophmores. LOL .
20. Brock is workn o his foot speed to lower his 40 as well as put on some size. He just got back from U of Houston and was a true 6'1" at 263lbs. Hope to be close to 6'2 and 270-275 by 2 a days. Thanks again for all the help keep it comin.
21. Ah Smitty last I checked coaches are teachers too. Ned will get a bond past and yes you will pay higher taxes. If you don't like move out no one asked you to stay. You want my honest opinion the first thing that needs to go is pre-k or as  I call it daycare the taxpayers pay for. It is not even required by Texas Dept of Education. Is that going to solve the building from falling down around us NO. Read my earlier post on this topic and you will see a plan that will cost upfront but will save the DIstrict roughly 10 million in 10 years. 10 mil will hire alot more then 1.7 mil. Oh and Smitty never compare Ned to PN-G their tax base is twice ours just by the refinierys alone. If I am close like 26 mil to our 12 mil.
22. WOS has speed and lots of it. They always do. Freshmen ball does not mien a thing for judging how the next few years will be not at all. What Nederland does have is a defense with nine returning starters and new offense. 6 of the front seven are back with the addition of freshmen Caleb Malveaux a big extremely strong defensive tackle. I along with a few other dogs are really excited to see if the experience of the defense pays off.  Going to be rough start though we start with Galveston Ball then Dayton. 2 big test right out of the gate but like I said here comes DIDBA.
23. Coach's want to see the actual game films. They want to see how the player does throughout the whole game. Highlights are made to show just that highlights, but these or the tapes that can catch the attention of scouts and coaches. There providing the potential to be scouted, recruited or at least asked for the game films. This particular tape was made by Official Player Watch after Brock attended a combine hosted by them. It is only defense and does not show him playing special teams on Xtra points and field goal attempts. Stang if you would like to evaluate game tapes I would  be glad to make you a copy of each . Like I said before we need all input to be a better player. GO DOGS!!!!
24. You all could show how desperately Ned needs schools and evidence of those needs for new schools and SMITTY will oppose it. He has a deep seated hatred of Ned. It is always related to extracurricular activities. I do not think it understands the whole concept but please keep trying lol. Yes we need new schools and yes times are tough, but if we wait to much longer it will be to late. Here is an idea from myself : 1.Build a new super middle school and consolidate C.O.Wilson and Central since there 5 blocks from each other at the current C.O. area. one school to maintain, energy efficient and state of the art technology. (High Tech. science and Math labs) 2. Tear down and build new Super Elementary School at current Central School thus consolidating 4 separate schools into one. This would be in the heart of town and not a big diff since all schools are close to this location. Also saving maintenance costs and reduce the amount of administrative personnel such as principals and such.(High tech. science and Math labs.) 3.Retrofit the H.S. and update it with energy efficient state of the art technology.( High tech science and math labs with engineering lab.) 4. The big sale: a new Stadium behind the H.S. with a just right press box not like the Jones .Also new parking lot located to the east of stadium located along Canal. 5.Sale some of the property the elementary schools are located on for lets say new subdivisions for increased revenue . The sale would help offset a portion of the cost along with lower maintenance cost and a small reduction in overall workforce . Hopefully the reduction could be done without layoffs. Nederland is a growing community with the potential to expand in a variety of different directions, but as I have said before the community as a whole will benefit immensely, but the biggest winner will be the students who will get high tech. classrooms and an all around better learning environment.. Some will say how does a new stadium help, well it is a source of revenue( 10,000 little indians at 5$ a piece  50,000 dollars) as well as other events that are held there. No it is not a money machine but it does help. It also teaches young men and women, who compete there in sports, band or any other school event, life lessons that go way beyond school. But I think the biggest thing is the enjoyment and community pride a town feels when it sees its tax dollars go towards something that brings a community together. Well there it is my idea please feel free to add or take away. Please Please understand that I would not wish or want a single person to lose a job in the district. SO Smitty have at it. GO DOGS!!!!!!!
