  1. The HIll is for Real! Yea they beat 1 Nederland team who was minus 4 starters 2 offense 2 defense. 14 points came from a Sophmore qb in his second start. Then there was the 28-0 lead going into the 4th Q and that same sopm qb threw for 222yds and came within 12 yards of tying up a game at yalls home. Hey they one fair and square but Dayton beat Ned up and down the field all night. Daytons front 7 on defense will eat Eagles all night. I promise you that. I wish both teams an injury free game but Dayton wins by 17. Oh yea  good luck with Darren Wright he is the real deal and loves QBs.
  2. I see Nederland playing a tough game in someone elses backyard. The Dogs are young on defense but very aggresive. The offense is getting better with a large line that has proved to be pretty good but the pass game is lagging but better then expected. I see BH has a good running game and alittle passing game like Ned. I think the defense of the Dogs will be the difference. I see Dogs win 28-10.
  3. In practice the starting defense does pretty much the same thing Dayton did just not as often and thats because they have to pull up on qb which is a good thing so no injurys. I heard Dionte hurt his knee in the scrimmage and pray he is ok but D you got to work harder in practice man so your ready for a defense like Dayton . Nederland defense will keep them in alot of games if the offense does not improve but they cant be on the field 37 min of a 48 min game (opps scrimmage). One more thing if my roster is right the front seven on defense  was made up of 3 soph,3 jr and 1 senoir the back was 2 senoirs 1 jr and 1 soph. Young defense for sure and to play a team like Dayton I was impressed. The offense 9 senoirs and 2 junoirs. I know they will improve and things will get better so be ready everyone the Dogs will come get you if you are not ready.
  4. What Im saying is that the Reservation and oh by the way the 5th winningest program in the area is made by the fans and thier tradition of packing a stadium anywhere they go. Central is a program that has come on it the past few years . But a stadium is just a building without the fans that fill it year end and year out. There is no team that does that and wins like PN-G. The next closest is Ned and they went years losing. But i HOPE YALLS WINNING CONTINUES  but  it will never be as good as the RES.
  5. There is no place like the Reservation! The fans the tradition and I say that with a torn heart for I played as an Indian but my son is a BIG DOG and proudly so. I have been to several games in Beaumont and maybe the new stadium will help the fan base grow but I am scared there will be arguments on whose house it is with 3 proud schools sharing it. Beaumont should have the biggest stadium since 3 schools are there but the Reservation is the the best in this area.
  6. Sorry PA Mem should remain where they are but I think they may be a surprise.
  7. I would have to say Dayton is number 1 by far with the talent and the playoff run last year. After that W.B. then those dang Indians,Central, Crosby. I hope there is alot of changes as the season progresses but I agree Ned should be higher than all but WOS they are nothn but atheletes at Wos.
  8. I have to go with Nederland also as a dark horse or sleeper. My reasons are as follows:1 question about quarterback. 2 Sounds like there will be several soph starting as well as several juniors.3 They limped in last year to the playoffs only to lose. The big plus is Coach Neauman he seems to find away to put a team together that makes the playoff if they having 5-5 season. So with all the questions and the lack of talk about the Dogs by thier faithful, it seems noone has very high expectations except the players .
  9. The Dogs have to learn to hold on to the ball. Way to many turnovers. The offense needs help in a big way. Dionte is not the answer so let Adam do his thing and work on the offensive line play they need it. Need to find a running back who does not have to play defense because Grant and Nick are getting wore out. If Ned can improve on this during the week they have a chance against Livingston. In a close one Trahan kick winning fieldgoal Ned 17-Liv 17.
  10. Horns05 need to read all your post carefully. First post u predict PN-G by a touchdown then 2nd post u say Lum 17 PN-G14 . Wierd? Then u say u cant wait for the Jags to whip the Tribe well from what I have seen GOOD LUCK on that one too. The funny thing though is you never know till the game is over. I predict PN-G 28 Lumberton 7. The Indians are for real. I was thinking though can my Bulldogs maybe hire the Defensive coach from PN-G that would be a nice start. I think he would make an excellent new head coach for Big Ned. Scalp'm all Indians.
  11. I can tell all nay sayers about Nederland girls they give all they can give. There is nothing they want more then to win. They have learned the last few weeks to really compete at a higher level but there is just better teams. I will say one thing for sure dont ever question my daughters HEART she has come back from 2 knee surgeries and still throws herself on the floor after the ball. This wanting coach Leach to leave started early in the year with some parents whos daughter did not make the varsity team. The odd thing instead of being helpful they have got on here and have been negative about the whole program. I am sorry that all the girls could not be on varsity for whatever reason but this group has fought very hard and will continue to do so. I just ask that you come out and support the LADY DOGS! On Coach Comeaux she truly a great coach and always has a team that will compete but again there is always off years.
  12. Ned defense asked to do too much been on field way to long. Turnovers killing them. Good game PNG ;D Maybe next year Dogs
  13. Nederland Lady Dogs gaining momentum with a big win over Lady Raiders to move up in the district race. Go Lady Dogs
  14. Coop someone told me that Holly Pryor had had both knees operated on for acl injuries. If so I watched her play OF and she was impressive. I have to give her an award for heart . To want to play after that and be competetive that is great. Wish her all the best neat story.
  15. I have to say Ned is a up and down team. They can play awesome then turn right around and look silly. They seem to lack confidence or that killer spirit. I think LC-M will win district but after that i think it is a toss up. PN-G has looked off and on as well. Ozen has good atheletes but not chemistry. Vidor is geting better each week. Central is just ok not to impressive. Livingston could be a sleeper but who knows. One thing for sure the loss of player for PNG and Ned will not help. It all work out though. Nederland has some good leaders on the team as well as PNG. The girls from LCM are just good like to see them hit so if anyone wants to beat them better learn to play defense and block block and more block practice.
  16. I here one of the Baytown yteams are wanting to play. Tough oppnent see if it happens. I know these boys are tired of hitting each other.
  17. Ned beats OF 3-1 close games and good play both sides. Ned setter 16 played great game the whole team played good ball someone said that setter has had 2 knee surgeries that is alot of heart to keep playn. #1 for OF has had double ankle surgery she is going to be a force. Good luck to Dogs as they goto Sante Fe
  18. WO-S 9th is ok but last week they were held to minus 37 yards and 0 points by Nederlands 9th grade. I know this is a week old but Ned is off this week. Ned has a real good chance with this group of guys if they let them stay together. Lots of size and speed. Only time will tell.
  19. Bullit it sounds as if you have a personal grudge against the Nederland coach. Did your child not make varsity or what? Most of the girls on varsity are girls that are returning from last year. It is hard to compare Ned volleyball to the politics that plague PN-G. I do not see where a parent buying the team dinner including the coach is an issue especially since it was done to help build chemistry within the team. No coach is perfect and they all have thier ways but between you and bagfans dislike of Leach sounds like yall did not get what you wanted for your child. What example do you set . More support and less bickering could work wonders!
  20. It is ironic but still true that the Reservation has become so rejuvinated that is spreading threw out the district . My son 14 also started his football as a Bulldog today and they to were so excited. Being an Indian myself I asked why such a high excitement he said that some of his friends from the other side of the tracks were telling him how excited they were to play for the Purple and White and how they were gooing to bring the smackdown on the Dogs. Well only time will tell but it is awesome to see the excitement . Some friends from LCM said they were so fired up with a new coach and the energy of this district. Well as a dad I am so ready for these kids to get the chance to prove it on the field. As a former Indian I hope PN-G has a great season but watch out here comes a pack of Bad Dogs lol.
  21. It is amazing how fast some of these kids grow. My son is also incoming freshman at Ned and he went from 5'9 200 to 6'1 and 220. He spent the summer at Mid county fitness working out and also speed camp really big changes. Alot of his friends have grown so much Zach Taylor went from 5'6 to 5'11 crazy. I know that the Ned boys are excited to carry on a perfect streak they started in 7th grade. They were undefeated as 7th graders and were never scored on in 8th grade at C.O.Wilson and u add some excellent players from Central and it all looks great fro Ned. I think it is going to a great next several years for the 20-4a district alot of big boys all over from LUM to PN-G but I am alittle bias and think these young men at Ned will be a force to reckon with.
  22. What does your incoming freshmen teams look like. This will be some schools first class of kids that played STJFL. Will it relate to better players and undersanding of the program. Success at Jr high level does not always relates to good high school teams.
  23. Got to watch some good scrimmages at Nederland over the weekend. Bcats looked OK need alittle help with setter but good team chemistry. H-F good team speed very close to being an excellent team. Kountze looked ok small team in size and players but work hard. Nederland looked good excellent team chemistry first in a few years alittle slow on defense. WBrook looked ok not real fast play need better team chemistry but will be tough in 5a. All in all everyone played decent but it looked like H-F and Nederland played the best but scrimmages are not games, but I think these two teams will be tough in their prospective districts.
  24. Lum Ned PNG Vidor but who knows thats why they play the games.
  25. PN-G is always tough but I think this year it will be LcM folled by Ned, Png and Ozen. I think Coach Leech is back on her game and rememers the lessons learned from coach Comeaux. LCM just has good talent with good coaching.
