  1. No No Cap, Cougtalk ( The voice of Crosby) said there is not a better back in the area. Since this site covers all of SE TX and all classifications I expect to be amazed. Can't wait.
  2. 19-4a vs 20-4a all great matchups that could go either way. Soooooooo glad 3 of the 4 are right here in town. I will be at all 3 games if I can score the tickets.
  3. I don't know about everyone else, but I can't wait to watch the best back in SE TX and all classifications  run. The young lad must be amazing since there are none better in the area per Cougtalk.
  4. If a pair of twins torched the Hill, I can't imagine how they will handle the Quads (Green, Jones, Nelson, & Michaels) from Ozen. I've seen all 8 teams, from 19 & 20-4a play. Make no mistake, Ozen is the most feared offense and the most electric. If they cut down the bad snaps, penalty's and Green is accurate, Ozen will put up 40+ on the Hill. The Hill's best D will be the grind it out long drives and keep the fastest most ellusive athletes off the field. I just Hope you don't regret putting down that super speedy new turf. You just might see that baby smoulder and melt this friday.  :o
  5. I think he is telling you it will be easier to stop 2 rather than 3.  ;D
  6. This is all coming from a fan whose team was  1 - 6 in district. Actually, they were lucky to beat Lumberton. If memory serves me correctly, the Raiders put put 500 yds of offense in their loss. I guess there must have been a lot of bad refs this year, or at least there were only bad ones the last six games of their season.
  7. Great kicker! I'm just glad Dayton has sumppin to brag about this year.  ;D
  8. I don't see Livingston being a D2 #2 even with a Vidor loss. They still beat PNG head-up. Let's be honest, Brenham Fan wants PNG anyway. With that being said it is a tough road for PNG, cause they will face BH 1st round before Brenham. Good luck with that road.
  9. Since he is so infatuated with speed, I will be happy to whip up some BBQ'd Roadrunner. Yummy, got my taste buds just a watering this morning.
  10. It appears Ned will only be missing 2 1/2 from the D instead of the 5 originally thought. I would like to amend my original prediction.  Livingston - 72 - Ned - 7. It is going to be a loooooooooooooong night for our boy's. God help us all.
  11. You are so right Sprocket. Ned doesn't stand a chance. livingston - 87  -  Ned - 7.
  12. Grades had nothing to do with those that may or will be missing Friday night and the 5 comes from being in the know.
  13. I wouldn't get too excited about Ned's D. They could be missing as many as 5. Good Luck to both teams.
  14. " Smitty The Great " is back in the house!  :P
  15. Raines will be fine. He needs to throw on the home turf more. He hasn't adjusted to the crown yet. Everything to the sideline is high. Just watch how he throws against PNG. It might be a good thing we are playing on their plastic flat field. Maybe prior to Livingston he will be able to practice on our home turf.
  16. Well, look who's making excuses now Mytwocents. Why don't you try to find another penny so you'll have 3. Than maybe you will make more sense.
  17. Actually, The Dogs will be w/o 3 starters tonight. Good Luck to all.
  18. It will be interesting to see how Vidor's OL handles Nederland's DL. This should be a good match up to watch. The game will be won in the trenches.
  19. Dogs 24 - Eagles 17  Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much aerial assault from Raines and Company.
  20. Sorry, I meant to put soap opera is gone for now. At least when we are speaking of player personnel. Who knows though. Nederland has certainly been active on the threads lately. What's next the BB Team going to take on the Tennis team? After all, they brought  in a golfer on the last post.    ;D ;D :D :D
  21. Hey Dove, Nederland may not be able to play ball at the caliber you like, but I bet our boys will be able to read cue cards when they make commercials. DUH  ;)
  22. Let me help you out with the true facts Jay. The young man I believe you are referring to moved here prior to his 9th grade year. Because of the out of town move he was allowed to repeat 8th grade. The family took advantage of the great Redshirt-Drop down program at CO Wilson so he repeated his 8th grade at Wilson. Personally, I think the only reason for the move was to drop the boy back in grade for competitive reasons. Apparently, Coach Daddy got too cozy with his secretary and mama found out and abruptly moved  her and the kids to Nederland. Coach Daddy than takes a Houston coaching job and son moves back to live with dad for his 9th grade yr. This young man is actually about 6'1" at best and is a shooting guard. It is true English allowed him to play with the summer teams, but he played with the incoming sophomore's who will make up the JV team. English knew he probably would not stay, so he would not allow him to play with the varsity until he registered this fall. What is funny, Coach Daddy did call English just last week to inform him Little Johnny was going to stay and play for Nederland. Last I heard Johnny did not enroll at Nederland. English did not recruit this player or any player for that matter. It will be interesting to follow this young man, for last I knew he couldn't play for Coach Daddy's Houston (varsity) team, cause daddy didn't live in the district he was coaching in. I say let him be forced to play for dad. At least the Soap opera appears to be gone from Nederland. We don't want any distractions.  :o
  23. I agree with a 20-14 score. The game could go either way. Ned's O is much improved. A lot more versatility. They play a ball control game, where most first downs will take 2-3 plays everytime. They will break an occassional big play against good teams, but it is all about clock management and marching down the field consistently.  Our D will have to show better this week. If we are going to play 3 safties they better be willing to come up quickly and often to help out with the LB's. Way too slow to respond against Dayton. Presently, I am most worried about our kicker. He did have lft knee (plant leg) issues in the off season and he really struggled last week. I hope he gets his confidence back before Friday.
