  1. So much for the undefeated season  ;D
  2. I guess it depends how you judge reliability. after all, the young man is out 5 - 6 weeks with a fractured throwing hand and not only 2 weeks due to the MCL sprain. Either way I hate to see this happen to a senior. On the other hand, I am anxious to see what Rains will do with his accurate arm and great mobility.  ;)
  3. Prepare, are you kidding me prepare?????  Now that's funny coming from a WOS fan. According to your fan base, you're sooooooooo  good you don't need to prepare, your team can take the field and just react and you'll still beat over 90% of your foes by 3 - 4 TD's.  ;)
  4. First off, I'd like to know where Scout got his info. I personally spoke to D's dad Saturday night and they weren't going to the Dr til today. As a matter of fact, they are at the Dr as I type.  Sounds like someone is full of @$^%&(&*&^% and is starting a rumor. It is true, D has a sprained MCL, but it sounds like the decision to play won't be made till game time. Now let's give it a rest til we learn what the Dr. recommends.
  5. I heard the band is using the main field tonight.  ;D
  6. Holly Molly Thunder. I am trying to read through all of your gibberish in an attempt to understand exactly what you are saying. Feel free to come up for air now and then. If I understand you correctly, PNG will be a top 4 team in the state. ------   I stand corrected. You are not Thunderllusional. You are ThunderIlostmyfrickinmind.    As I stated earlier, PNG will not be the team they were last year.
  7. You crack me up Thunder. You need to go ahead and change your name to Thunderllusional. You are definitely out there.  :D
  8. NO NO Ned11str8 you are wrong about the NFC. I heard they will be one of the team's to join the BIG 12 now that they have 2 vacant spots.  :D
  9. Coach Faircloth is right about one thing. This will be a totally different team from last year's. I wouldn't worry about keeping this team separate from last year's. I believe your record will speak for itself.  ;D
  10. I agree roughrider. Anyone not figuring the dogs to be in the top 4 is fooooooooolish. I just love flying under the radar.
  11. No warning needed. I would hope every team in the district plus took note of PNG last year. Unfortunately for you, your team won't match up to last year's if your spring game is any indication. As good as Doty is he won't have the go to guys he had last year. It will be interesting to compare his stats at the end of the year. Just remember, after posting that miracle undefeated district season, the target is a little larger this year. I see PNG going 5-2, or 4-3 in 20-4a. Good Luck.
  12. Cunningham will be one to watch. At 6' 2" 180 or so, he is quick, has good hands and he can dunk a basketball, so he can leap as well. I expect him to be every bit as good as Brady and Cardenas. Great kid with a focused vision. Also, Forney and he are buds so you should see them hook-up frequently this year. I look for Chris to be newcomer of the year in 20-4a. Can't wait.
  13. Actually Kickie the majority of the DB's are 6' and over in the Big 12. Even at 6' we're still talking 4" over 5'8". Big difference in my book. As a matter of fact, I only found one DB at 5" 8". You might want to go back and reread my original post. I did try to qualify the size by saying he must be real fast and a great leaper. Again, one poster pointed out the speed and athletic ability of the young man. No disrespect to the young man. It is just unusual to find a DB at 5' 8" in the Big 12. I hope for the WOS faithful he is a late grower and makes everyone proud. Again good luck on your state run.
  14. Oh man! I thought you would be the man to help me with my term paper kickie. "Undersized athletes in Sports" Don't get me wrong. Many can contribute. Thus my comment about his 40 time and vertical. Sounds like my guess was pretty close as one pointed out. I'm pretty familiar with the Big 12, and you just don't find many recruits 5'8" and 160. I'm sure the young man is a great athlete. Oh yes, no jealousy here. You just don't admire 5'8" and 160 when yours is 6'3" and 210 as a freshman. Good luck with your Championship run this year.
  15. Can you forward me the height and weight of those 35 - 40 players that went on to the next level and played in the Big 12 ? I would like to research them. Or please forward me those that you are aware of and what school's they actually attended. Just curious. Thanks
  16. Wow! If the Big 12 is recruiting a 5' 8" 160lb player he must be able to run a 4.2 40 with a 42" vertical. Can't say I've seen him play. He will definitely have to be able to take a pounding at the next level.
  17. Where Dat Be? Do I need to wear my trunks to swim the 3 miles to the gym?
  18. Great win jags. How did the JV and Freshman games turn out ? Scores if possible. Thanks
  19. These weren't just regular 3's with the toe just behind the line. They were, as the announcer said, "Downtown" much further than even the NBA. Some of his shot selection's were 15+ ft behind the line. I sure hope all parties involved work to get this young man an education so we can see him at the next level. The ball's in your court now BISD!
  20. The Purple Pride better hope they beat Big Ned tonight. I predict this will be their only chance at a win over the next 4 -5 years. Nederland will be tooooooooooo strong under English and the players coming up. As for tonight, it's a toss up since Ned will be w/o one of their top players.  Ned 58  - PNG 53
  21. Ned will be facing Bryant (defending WS Champ in 08) in a rematch from Friday. Game time is 7:30. Should be a good one. This will be an elimination game. One thing's for sure, a very good team will be leaving the tourney early.
  22. Just received confirmation, Ned lost 20-8 in an ugly contest. Tooooo many errors and not enough pitching.
