  1. Ned up 5 - 1 top of 5. I thought we would receive inning by inning. GUESS NOT
  2. The game is just now underway. We should start getting some updates.
  3. Glad to see you come out of the closet Vnuuuuuupe. I agree your son is a great player. As a matter of fact I met him at Bulldog stadium, before the season started. What is truly ironic, he is the one that told me you placed all the returning players from Jr. on the Blue senior team. Quite a talker your son. I did enjoy his personality. What does baffle me though Is why you didn't run him more. Actually, with my 25 yrs of youth sports experience I would have had him at running back, but that is just me. It makes you wonder if that might have made the difference on the game Saturday night. I am truly glad to hear he has a father around. My only advice is to keep them educated and stay involved in his life. With the restrictions and injuries I wouldn't count on sports being a career. Also, kids can get of track at any moment. I can still remember back in 1988 when Dallas Carter had three kids that received scholarships to Tenn, Miami, and Alabama to play football. They all got board one night and robbed a gas station for fun. Thus, there went the scholarships. This was the same team in the movie Friday Night Lights. I guess the moral of the story--be a real father so they don't get bored. Good luck with your son and his future.
  4. Well hey Tenbender, that just might work out for both of us. I believe my buddy Stangs has an interest in the Jr. Division so he will probably take one of your good seats. Now Vnupe is a different story. I heard my good buddy Vnuuuuuupe (don't you just love that name?) is already too busy searching for a rule he can overlook during next years draft. so it looks like you will have one ticket left. I'll take it. Hey! I just realized. Stangs and me can sit together and enjoy a great Superbowl. Man it don't get any better than that. A great match up and a great buddy to enjoy it with.
  5. Hey Tenbender. I'll be glad to purchase your tickets. I am looking forward to the Sr. Bowl. It should be a real match up. I loved the atmosphere in the 1st round at Bulldog Stadium. Those Dogs really know how to put on a playoff game. They had announcers, video's going on, photographer's, and just great hospitality. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get a seat. How much for the tickets and how many do you have.
  6. Should we say it is not looking good at this point. Oh heck, let's be honest. That would be a NO. I guess my good buddy Bulldogbacker had it right when he said NOT 3. I think the more appropriate question should have been will Lumberton win a Championship in Sr., Jr., and Pee Wee this year?. Great job Lumberton coaches and players this year. Three teams in the show. Let me be one of the 1st to give you some positive feedback. A special Great Job to my buddy Danny and his staff for taking down WOS Blue in the Sr. division. A So sorry goes out to my Buddies VNUPE, Stangs and the rest of the folks from WOS. It must have been devastating to be taken down in your own back yard. I tell you, I learned over the past 3 years the coaching in the Sr. division is tough when you're going for the title. Danny from Lumberton White is the best motivator. I think he has 5-6 Superbowl titles (correct me if I'm wrong). It is one thing to win a title in the Jr. Division, which is tough enough, but it is a whole different ball game in Sr..- Look at the bright side Vnupe, Stangs and others. You did learn two things this year. #1 there are expansion draft rules to follow. It is funny how the teams that have overlooked the rules over the last five years seem to go out early in the playoffs. Must be a higher power at work. #2 the coaching is tougher at the top of the Sr. Division and it is so easy to be outcoached by the likes of Guys like Danny. I do wish you the best of luck next year.
  7. Stangs and Vnupe I just want to say I do sincerely apologize for all my rude comments. I started out having a little preplayoff fun and I got totally out of hand and down right rude. I do know you are not cheaters. WOS runs a great program and Eric (your Pres) is an asset to the Stjfl. I do understand the situation in your Sr. division. You made a last minute decision to split your teams and it was an honest mistake that you overlooked the expansion draft rules. Heck, lets face it even if you had followed the expansion draft rules, #2 and #4 would have been protected on WOS Blue and they can score touchdowns with no matter what players were on the field with them. Both your teams were loaded with athletes I just think the experience of blue is a little further ahead of white at this point. I am looking forward to some great matchups in the playoffs and I wish all your teams good luck. Again, I hope you will accept my apology, for you are right, we certainly don't need another situation similar to the tragedy that occurred over the weekend.
  8. Well Thank You Stangs. I wear a 3XL. I do have a great slogan and cheer for our team this year. RAH, RAH , RAH BOOMDEAH, WHEN YOU CHEAT YOU TOO CAN GO ALL THE WAY! We'll see you at the game. Oh yes, can you save me a seat on the 50 yard line. I like watching from the middle of the field about 3/4 the way up. By the way I do apologize, I see you all are having trouble reading and understanding these posts. I don't know whatever made me think you could read STJFL's simple rule book. See you Dec 13 at Bulldog Stadium. Goooooo Team!
  9. Well, it's my Ole Buddy Vnuuuuuuuuuuuuupe rearing his ugly head again. How's it going you Ole Cheater You? (Ha Ha). Stangs thanks for the good night send off last eve. I actually slept like a bear in hibernation. One sleeps better when you play by the rules. Oops, I guess you wouldn't know.
  10. The seeding and tie breaker system STJFL uses is a fair one. The WOS folks should have read the rules before the season started and maybe you could have used better strategy to get all your teams in or aligned better in bracket play. No one is picking on you or trying to set up a bracket so both WOS Jr. teams have to play before the Bowl. I promise you the brackets are set according to the rules. The rest of the league has already overlooked the fact you didn't follow the expansion draft rules in the Sr. division, and thus you stacked WOS Blue. Also, Ned White tried to help WOS White out, per your request, and scored 35 against BC, when they only needed to score 28 originally. I guess Ned White assumed you wouldn't let Vidor Black score 13 against you. If you put your backup's in against Vidor Black and they scored a TD than that was once again bad planning on your part or not knowing the tie breaker rules. I did hear a rumor the Ned White coach pulled out his horses the 2nd half of the BC game for he knew he couldn't score more than 40 points against BC if he wanted WOS White out of the playoffs. Apparently, he knew the rules and you folks will be the 1st team from WOS, while in the STJFL, to sit home for the Holidays. The good news is you still have your stacked Sr. team to watch from the stands. Better luck next year. I strongly recommend you read the rules that are so readily available and simple to read.
  11. No comment here from me, I just want to know where I can buy a video. I don't want to wait til it makes the National news.
  12. Don't sweat it Queenie. When you make it to the Show at Bulldog Stadium, on Dec. 13th they will be filming as well, and the memories will last a lifetime.
  13. Central - 51 Groves - 0 Does anyone know where all those new players came from for Central ? Did they transfer from PA or somewhere ? That Qb (#3) was amazing the guy has an arm and wheels. I'll bet that one TD traveled 50 yds in the air and #1 didn't miss a stride when he caught it and walked into the endzone. Those two new lineman are huge as well. They must weigh around 250 lbs or so. Even the 2nd team small backs didn't have any trouble making yards behind those twins. Seriously, they had at least 8 players I've not seen this year. Have they always been on the team? If not how on earth did they get them on the team at this late date and where did they come from?
  14. I didn't say you didn't have a draft VNUPE. Gosh, when you loaded up Blue with all the returning Superbowl players it must have been tough to pick the extra 2 or 3 you needed to fill your team. Per your own admission you just didn't follow procedure for an expansion draft. I guess you just didn't know the rules. Apparently, you must have been worried about what you said, for you deleted a good portion of your post. The StJFL works hard to promote Fairness so all can compete. We have had many teams in the past stack one team I just guess this year it was WOS turn. Good luck this year, I'm sure you will do well.
  15. Does anyone have a score on the Sr. BC vs WOS White game? Apparently, some of you haven't turned in your scores yet and the administrator is unable to post same.
  16. Hey VNUPE, I just love people like you who bow up and shoot off your mouth when you don't realize the damage you just brought to your program. Your point about all the Sr. Blue team being on the Championship team from last year is a violation of the STJFL draft/expansion policy. I was told by one of the Sr. Blue players, before the season started, that you pulled such a stunt and moved all 11 or so players to one team (Sr. Blue). I believe the rule is when you expand to a second team you can only protect 5 players and the rest have to go back into the draft so the expansion team can have a chance to be competitive. Now, with that being said I will agree your Sr. White is not a bad little team as well, but they didn't all play on the Superbowl team last year and they are no where close to the same talent level as Sr. Blue in my eyes. At any rate, thanks for the info I may just file a protest prior to playing Sr. Blue. Nothing may happen this year, but it is programs like yours that will eventually push the STJFL Board to have a member present during the draft in order to make sure a team isn't stacked.
  17. I love all this pregame hype. I do believe this will be a good game. Actually, this could be a warm up to the Super Bowl. Our team has played both and they are well rounded. WOS has more size, more speed and they hit a little harder. Sorry Dogs83 you may think you have speed, but your speedster won't look as fast come Saturday. I know ours didn't. Nederland does have a lot of talent and one of the best Offensive play callers and if he can keep WOS off balance it's a toss up. I look forward to the showdown.
