Don’t they play 10 games? So you are saying 8-3 as their final record? If they beat EC and Anahuac I would hope they get past the first round since they will be district champions.

Not just 0-2, but 0-2 against the SEC. Some posters that are UT fans were talking some trash about the SEC during the Regionals. I don't care about conferences, but it's hard to argue that they have been and continue to be the best in college baseball.

Hmmmmm. Are we talking about all time history or recent history? In my time here HJ has been better than Kountze in pretty much every sport and academics. I may be wrong but isn't HJ one of the top academic schools in the area?

You are correct...that is not a fantastic record. However, don't you think being successful is a little bit deeper than just winning and losing? He may be a good football coach...he may not be. I don't know but I'm not going to judge him on his win loss record at a school that traditionally does not win much in football. 
I thought he was the coach when they broke that playoff drought years back. AHuddleston says that was under Franklin, but wasn't Joubert the coach when they returned to the playoffs the next year? If you want to win, you have to have athletes. Bill Belichick was 36-44 in five years with the Browns. 214-74 with the Patriots over 18 years. Is he that much better of a coach since he left Cleveland? I'm sure he's better because of experience, but it has just been a better situation with some great players along the way. Point is, Joubert has had a good season with some athletes. Maybe it was a fluke? Maybe it was the only time he has been able to field kids where they weren't completely outmatched? Maybe his win/loss record would be completely different in a different situation. Do you think he would have the same win/loss record over the past four years if he was the head coach at WOS? No, he would be in the playoffs making deep runs because the level of athletes (not saying he would have made it to the title game). Maybe he would do better there. Maybe not, but I don't think he would do much different than Martel and Sloan. 
 

Have you followed Kountze football? In the 15 years I have lived here, I believe their only successful seasons have come under Joubert. Isn't HJ more of a basketball school? With that said, I do not think he will be there unless he wants to stop coaching basketball, they already have a basketball coach.

Agreed. I think it's an absolute disgrace, especially with him being the assistant last year. If you want to replace him, do it after the season. Zero character to go in and make a move like that. It doesn't matter to me if the community is not upset about it or not. There is a particular way you should treat people and this is not the right way. What did you just teach all of those young men? 

I agree with you and I find that unfortunate. It sounds to me this should be an individual award with consideration how the team did. It would be hard to give the award to an athlete that had tremendous numbers but team did not make the playoffs (but it should be possible). I think it's safe to say if you put RJ on Newton or WOS they are both state champions this year. Barlow is obviously a very good player, but I don't think he makes the PNG team better than they were with RJ.

Congrats to Coach Tammy Brown and the Lady Ozen Panthers for this monumental accomplishment...Many werent aware of this until 6-News made it known last night...Sad but true girl sports/accomplishments dont get near the attention and coverage the boy sports get...Congrats and good luck to the top 4 teams representing 22-5A in the up coming playoffs....

News stations are about ratings. They gotta go with what the people want. Nothing personal, girls sports aren't what the majority of people want to see covered. Also is the case with tennis, golf, cross country, and swimming, both boys and girls.

Obviously you are going to have upsets when you have 64 of these games take place, but I believe the numbers show 4A and below should only bring three teams to the playoffs. There were so many games that were a complete embarrassment and probably should not have been played.

It needs to be renamed whether they prove he was involved or not. Everything and anything that has the fingerprints of the current and previous administration on it need to be whipped clean. MLB is having the same issue right now with the Hall of Fame. Numerous men who should have been voted into the Hall have not received the votes because of they played in the steroid era and there is "speculation" that they might have been juiced. Well...if you they aren't very certain that a player was clean they are very hesitant to give them the vote. There is plenty of "speculation" that the previous superintendent was involved as well. Wipe everything clean and start it over. All you have to do is rename it BISD Complex. From that point, when someone new comes through whether it be coach, athlete, or administration that is deserving...then rename the stadium.

I was in this business for over 30 years and whoever thinks the former superintendent is clean from everything going on needs to open their eyes. Things to this degree do not come out overnight. This is a result of years and years, probably at least a decade, of dishonesty by the administration in BISD. Has it gotten worse since the new superintendent took over? I have no idea but my gut says he was just the scapegoat from the former. Was the former superintendent directly involved? I have no idea but there is no way he did not know of several of the dishonest things going on. If you are in charge and sweep things like this under the rug and keep it "in house" you are just as guilty in my book. 
 
RENAME THE STADIUM!!!
