Whether this subject is needed or not it sounds like you are taking it as a knock against WOS,  I see nothing along those lines.  This is a very sad tragedy and my heart goes out to everyone it touches.  The fact that the accused is a WOS coach means nothing other than showing he was in a position of influence on young people and should have held himself to higher standards as such.  I don't think anyone on here holds any part of this against WOS.

One note of interest I noticed from one of the links posted, if the cutoff numbers remain similar 4A Basketball power Dallas Madison may drop down a class.  The number I saw posted was 444.

I knew someone would make that statement, and it's definitely true.  I just meant we wouldn't have the big speed advantage like we have had in most of our games.

true statement ST, however. Speed is ALWAYS a factor even if it's an even call at talent, but the deciding factor will always be play execution.

So what does any past year have to do with this one?. And if our defense is a joke,  what does it say about yours giving up 62 points to a team with an interception on its first pass, a qb that can't hit a receiver downfield and committing so many big penalties? If our defense is a joke,  that defense must be an entire comedy novel!!

I totally agree with this.  That was perhaps the best we played all year with an exception of maybe the last 10 minutes. Hopefully we are in better shape now to keep it up until the end.  Good luck to WOS from here on out.

I don't know if many WOS fans would really consider that game a cakewalk even though the final score was a little lopsided.

After all these years being behind those boys no matter what this is an amazing feeling!!! I'm so proud to be a Raider fan and so glad the kids in high school get to see what it's like going to playoffs for football like I did in high school!!!

A few takeaways from the game. Silsbee beat BC, no question about that. Silsbee did a better job of stopping our offense than I expected. The officiating was not good at all. There were bad calls going both ways. They didn't cost us the game by any means, but just too many mistakes. Premature whistles, bad spots, etc.  They didn't seem biased, just not very good. I expected Silsbee's unsportsmanlike penalties to affect the outcome. They happened, but Silsbee still got their stops.
Silsbee's rushing game was way better than I expected. Or at least we helped them look better by missing way too many tackles. It hasn't been mentioned, but we were down a few key players tonight, and I think the shuffling of personnel hurt our execution.  Both teams had momentum changing bad plays, but I think we just had a few more than the Tigers. In the end, I think both teams need to find out how to play defense or our district won't be very well represented after week 1 of the playoffs. 
I have a hard time saying who will win next week. I think Jasper beat a better BC team than the BC team that Silsbee did up tonight. Either way, good game Tigers.

what do you mean chance??  They are the heavy favorites,  after all like we have heard so many times they have 3 state titles and we have none.  How can we compete against that??

i still think my Tigers are going to pull this one out but I don't see Huffman beating Jasper.
