Congrats to the Rangers and good luck in the playoffs!

Pearland is gonna kill us in the first round...but gotta crawl before you walk, hopefully this year is the first of building back the sterling program...

some of you West Brook fans are delusional...if your team hasnt "played to its potential" by week 9 then maybe your expectations of your teams potential are a little too much...it is what it is, and by week 9 99% of all teams have found themselves....

even if West Brook plays a perfect game they are going to need North Shore to make mistakes for them to win, North Shore is that good...and no i dont think they are invincable like someone suggested some fans think early, its just that some people think that its gonna take a lot for West Brook to beat them, now for a team like Pearland it might be possible to spring the upset w/o North Shore giving it to them, but lets be honest hear West Brook is a good team but they are no Pearland....it is high school football and crazy stuff happens, but West Brook is gonna need at least 3 or 4 North Shore turnovers to win this one...honestly, West Brook needs to be hoping that they dont get that awesome running back hurt again in this game so they can make some noise in the playoffs, if Lee can hurt him with their defense then i'd be scared of what North Shore's defense could do...

well the game was pretty much what i thought....closer than it was "supposed" to be...sterling had a shot at it but it didnt happen...hopefully the rangers keep getting better and can make the game go the other way...since i have now seen both north shore and west brook i can safely say barring an egg by north shore they should have their way w/ the bruins, but west brook can prolly make some noise in the playoffs if they can control their penalties...

its unfortunate for the rangers that they will have to play pearland in the first round, but when u havent been to the playoffs since 1985 u'll take what u get....

The "experts" have WB picked as a 29 point favorite against Sterling. The same "experts" had WB as a 26 point favorite last week against PAM and the final was 26-0. I know the experts dontknow the outcome of every game, but they are usually close. As far as the Sterling game goes, I think WB will put it on em pretty good. The Bruins are finally gonna be healthy after a couple of weeks worth of injuries. But should be a good test for WB. As a side note, all of Sterlings wins have been against teams with losing records. Their 2 losses were against teams with winning records. Just something to think about. ;D

you may be right, we'll find out but to be fair West Brook has only played one team with a winning record, and the team with a winning record was 4a.....i just dont think it will be a blow out like it seems west brook fans are assuming, i think it'll be close and Sterling will have a shot, but i have been wrong before so we'll see what happens...honestly, it appears to me West Brook's first real test of the year is Sterling, whether they are good enough to turn that test into a tuneup game for North Shore will be seen tomorrow...

i think the West Brook/Sterling game tomorrow will be interesting, closer than a lot of west brook fans seem to think, but we will see...just my opinion....Lee/Port Arthur final score might 2-0 or something, both of their offensives are horrible but defenses are good, i honestly have no idea who wins that one...

the scarey thing is north shore made a ton of mistakes and still won 48-7....granted Lee made their fair share too......

John Tyler in 1994 was 3rd in district behind Longview and Tyler Lee in a 4 team district and won the State Championship.  I'm not sure what their record was but since it was a 4 team district and they played everyone in district twice and finished 3rd it couldn't have been that great a record.

in 1994 they went 16-0, maybe u meant 2000 where they went 12-4, finished 3rd in district behind Lufkin and Tyler Lee but made it all the way to the state finals before losing to Katy?

panama...i dunno, i think after watching north shore play they are in a class all their own...west brook is good but north shore is a level above them, maybe 2 levels....Lee has a great defense but the prob is they are small, all of North Shore's guys arent just big but they are lightening fast, their tightend would be an actual lineman on most teams but prolly runs a 4.5 or so, he caught one in the sterling game and just ran away from the defensive backs...Lee might be able to stay with North Shore for a little while but their bigger offense is gonna wear Lee down pretty quickly and turn the 2nd half ugly I think, unless if Lee discovers some way to not go 3 and out almost every offensive posession which is highly unlikely...also, Lee's corners better be ready cause if they blitz like they did against Stelring that QB of North Shore is gonna have a field day...

its possible for Lee to hang w/ North Shore but its gonna take a lotta mistakes by the Mustangs for Lee to close come the 4th quarter...but it is high school football and stranger things have happened....

The lob passes kill me too.  Sterling's offense drives down the field running the ball, using screen passes, get down to the twenty yard line and start the lob passes again.  I have been told that the off. coordinator runs a high risk, high reward scheme, but I don't understand the lobs.  The quarterback hates to throw them, he would rather use the conventional passes.  Sterling has the talent to play with Westbrook this Saturday, but the coaches will have to do more than "draw plays in the sand". 

if they'd ever run a slant when inside the 20 they would score because im 90% sure they have only done it once this season and every defense is just sitting on the lob....

Actually, we advanced on penetrations 3-2. However, it wouldn't have even come to that and Sterling would have won the game except that Jerry Ball blocked a field goal attempt in the fourth that would have given the Rangers the win.

dang Jerry Ball...haha...atleast it took a beast of a player to beat us...i wish the Rangers would get back to that level...

Uhhhh, that was a 7-7 tie in which West Brook advanced on penetrations. If they also had been tied, then it would have gone to first downs which we were also leading. If first downs had been tied, then it goes to total yardage....Oh, never mind!

i wasnt there (not born yet) but as i have heard many times yall won on first down, penetrations were tied....Sterling got stopped right outside the 20 inthe 4th quarter or something which wouldve won it for them....reguardless if it was penetrations or first downs im glad they did away w/ that stupid rule, when i was little that rule confused the heck outa me....

surely liberty can still beat tarkington.....

after watching North Shore play I dont see how anyone is gonna beat them, much less Lee....

the Sun has Lee's playoff chances right but they screwed up Sterlings...even if Sterling loses this week but Channelview also loses to Port Arthur then Sterling is in....if Sterling wins this week vs. West Brook or next week vs. Channelview then they are in (the Sun did say that one)....if Sterling was to lose both games against West Brook and Channelview and Channelview beat Port Arthur this week and Lee beat Port Arthur the last week of the season then Sterling would be in a 3 way tie w/ Lee and Channelview, 2 of which would make it to the playoffs....i hope Sterling just wins saturday and none of it matters (though it could not even matter then if Channelview loses friday night) but even if Sterling manages to lose both games they still have a great chance of getting in...

Memorial and Lee may have had some small crowds but Sterling hasnt been hurt at all by the new high school, they have had the biggest crowds i have seen in a long time at games this year....the game vs. North Shore, the Stelring side prolly had about 2 or 3 thousand Sterling fans, the last time I can remember Sterling traveling that well was the last game of 1999 where if they beat Humble they wouldve been in the playoffs and had a district championship....

What about the Curse of the Jumbotron Scoreboard? LC-M, Memorial, and PN-G?

North Shore has a jumbotron...that should tell ya it aint the scoreboard....

um...rest key players for the whole game? if they do that Sterling will beat them....i know its hard to believe since Sterling was down for so long (actually it shouldnt be that hard for West Brook fans considering where they were not so long ago) but Sterling is a decent team....

I think they got C-View this week and then Lee. There is a slight chance they could skweek in. I think the only ones to lock up a spot is NS, WB and Sterling, I think.

tech Sterling hasn't locked up a playoff spot yet....a Sterling win this week or a Channelview loss this week would lock it up...there is still the possibility of a 3 way tie at 2-3 for Sterling, Lee, and Channelview which would mean one of the teams end up out of the playoffs....

North Shore looked like they came out to win the district championship while Sterling was just kinda there....North Shore has more athletes on one team than i think i have ever seen....that QB is deadly accurate as well...

on a side note, i cant take anymore lob passes...its one thing to do them once a game but for that to be our only deep pass is killing me...
