I am going to say this to all of these anti Tiger comments, especially ones like " it wasn't a comeback..."  If you have seen this Silsbee team at all you would realize that was Tiger ball right there.  Sure there are areas we could improve but we still play out game and we were right there at the end. A few more fts or a couple of those easy misses back and it's a different outcome.  But the biggest thing on this night isn't about a win or loss it's about a young man who has given his all this entire year for his team and hometown.  To be disrespecting his team and their effort right now is out of line. If you want to give a good analysis and say we couldn't stop 5 and he was the difference then find but right now more than anything this games outcome means very little, sure I wanted a Tiger win but a Devon win is the most important!!

Tomorrow will make my 45th straight state tournament attended. Started attending the state tourney in 1972 when I was 8 years old.
My goal is to make 50 in a row.
This will also be my 10th year as media. The EC and Silsbee game will be my 9th and 10th game broadcasted at state tourney. Hoping to do 11 and 12 this week.

All about match ups. Getting this deep in playoffs they have to be decent. 

Like I have said to players, take it one game at a time and stay focused!!  For that matter let the coaches focus on who we are playing and how we need to play them and focus on your job and do it the best you can. Nothing else can be asked!  Do that and we will be just fine.

Big Sandy plays both, and might be the funniest team to watch. 

I like up tempo as long as it's controlled. But there is a need for both at times. I like to watch a fast paced game as long as it doesn't get sloppy and out of control. You can play fast paced and smart. But to me there is nothing worse than two teams going at it that's out of control.

Our 8th grade played them in the Jasper JH tournament, that kid is a freak of an athlete!

The boys played a great game. The game plan was to stop the big man...which we did a pretty good,job of doing. So they proceeded to go 15-18 from three point land lol. There's a reason they have won state in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015. Great season Dawgs! 

Trust me brother, I work in sales and it pays and is a lot better than sports broacasting. I still talk sports 24/7 and take a lot of clients to sporting events. Coming out of college I had a opportunity to work at CBS but the starting pay was struggle money and I couldn't do that and pay back student loans and live too.
