It's called football we used to run the oklahoma drill till ww puked then run it again...it's football not ballet
I don't care what it is. You are spreading misinformation about the kid. It wasn't because of a past injury. It didn't happen during footwork drills.
And I bet you didn't run any Oklahoma drills in helmets only. I am just curious now if you are the same person hiding behind a fake username on facebook making dumb comments as well.

Got some info on this...this was a footwork drill when the injury happened and that this is a pre-existing condition (he injured the elbow before) As if there wasn't drama in Nederland before now the new football coach is taking heat from the baseball people because of it...Coach Rich is trying to change the culture at Nederland it was inevitable that he ruffled a few feathers along the way
Completely false information. This injury has zero to do with the previous injury. Also explain how a "footwork" drill leads to a kid lead blocking and taking a helmet to the elbow with enough impact to possibly tear ligaments?

@navydawg31 @Dawg22 My thoughts exactly!! This is in reference to a post made on social media about a baseball player getting hurt during spring football practice.
If you know what I am talking about then you must know the kid that got hurt was more than likely a pride possession of the social media poster.
I know the kid and the parents very well. Just for context the parents haven't placed any blame on anyone. Injuries happen. I think the angst from the original facebook post comes from how the injury happened and the timing with baseball playoffs starting next week. It isn't about being a "pride possession" of the poster and just the frustration it happened.

I'm sure he may want to end up at a big school eventually and that groves is a stepping stone. The golden triangle doesn't have the best quality of life , hard to want to stay there unless you're from there and trapped . Just my opinion
Obviously you have never been to the Riverside Tavern.

I heard SOC wanted to get the purple gloves out earlier
Just wanted to see SOC out of the playoffs earlier this upcoming season. Tired of dealing with the grievances.

Very very true, dat. And the coaches very well know it, including CJ. That's why certain players play. It just so happens that the team this year, and somewhat last year, was good enough to cover for them.
What are you talking about?

You want PN-G with or without transfers? Not sure where you stand on the subject after the other message. 🤣

Well we’ll see if coaching matters over talent this weekend.
Shouldn't you be making a million dollars a minute somewhere selling vacuum cleaners instead of telling us how non athletic PNG is?

I watched SOC against Midlothian and Lovejoy.
Midlothian took a good lead then tried to keep running outside and throwing shirt passes. Didn't work. PN-G will go right at them and rarely throws passes to the line of scrimmage.
SOC was not as big as I expected. They have some size but nothing like last year. The d-lines for both Midlothian and Lovejoy were much smaller than what PNG will bring.
It will be speed vs size. We will need to play a full 4 quarters of A ball. SOC can get down and still make a run.

Liberty Hill has the advantage of getting hot at the right time. Their young violent defense has merged together and found them selves. Due to consistent injuries early on, Liberty Hill has developed a deep roster from their backups playing lights out and now that we are back to health from starters, we have many duel threat weapons in our arsenal.
That Nose tackle 44 has had a whole off season and summer of living in the weight room as well as playing Forward in Rugby. He hungry. I’ve had the honor and privilege of watching this particular young man grow up. He is a young General ready to go to war.
I was thoroughly impressed by PNG last year against LH. From their aggressive old school football to their Gladiator arena crowd. A team being led by the son of a Legendary head coach has lived up to the bill
You going to be doing the game announcing?

Whatever the outcome will be, Liberty Hill will hit PNG in the mouth so hard, their fans will feel it. And I guarantee this….no high school football player in the state of Texas is tougher or meaner than LH nose tackle Jacob Morris. That boy digs through thick rock layered soil like a prairie dog
I might sell my tickets now. Damn scary.

I’m just anxious to see how a 165lb nose tackle does for 4 quarters. They rely on quickness up front obviously but we’re talking 100-150lb weight difference here. If the PNG offensive line gets to the second level, the LH defense will be in for a LOOOOONG night. They’ll be forced to bring the safeties down and I like Nunnley, Adams, and Washington over anyone in their secondary.
Pieper was a heavy pass first team. Their O-Line did nothing but block straight up. No push / pulls, anything. Just stood up and looked for someone to block. LH was able to jump the snap some, get inside the blocks but for the most part Pieper's issue was errant passes and dropped balls. They had zero running game to speak of. LH did play good coverage defense and would get some pressure on a limping QB, but otherwise it should have been a much closer game.

I have a different perspective totally agree on pass coverage but I think the blocking in last year's game vs. South Oak Cliff was poor and it led to all those turnovers, sacks, safeties etc. The difference in this year's team is the offensive line isn't nearly as big...Bubba was 360 and Mike Stoker who was 315 signed with TCU...keep this in mind SOC also had 6 defensive backs sign FBS Division 1 scholarships last year in total 12 signed FBS Division 1 scholarships probably the most talented team I've seen since 1988 Dallas Carter in all 22 seniors signed scholarships last year and that's not even including this year's team who still has Danny Green William Little, Trey Jackson, Elijah Basea, and Jamyri Cauley just to name a few...SOC might be less talented than last year but the talent they still have makes them the favorite to repeat as champions at this point
I can't find Jamyri Cauley on any roster for this year. No HUDL highlights. No stats.

The LH Oline might have one kid bigger than our Outside Linebackers. I just dont see how they will block our D-Line. I know the maddening movement of their offense is supposed to level the field but last year our D Coordinator made their offense look like a cheap version of Vidor's. (no offense to Vidor).
PN-G needs two stops on defense. LH will not stop the offense. We play a clean game and we might score 50+.
I never get overconfident about any game but I will say this might be the most favorable matchup we have had yet in the playoffs this year.

I saw one Nederland student is going to need more than Daddy's Money to avoid jail time. We had so much more fun with the rivalry in the 90's and now all it comes to is some twitter comments and half-@$$ snide chants.
Need to do better and get back to burning letters in fields, egging yard signs, egging the stands, stuff like that.

Apparently. Also building a bunch more schools. I don't know if they are going to use both stadiums like Katy does since they have so many high schools but that would make sense.
That seems much more plausible if they need additional stadiums and are not doing a replacement.

did you read all the way through the article? If they have 3K students coming in every year there is a lot of money moving in with them. Not to mention new housing, businesses etc.
So tons of new students coming in and they are building a SMALLER stadium than the one they have now and was built 4 years ago? Did I read that right? Nearly 150 million in football stadium expense over 4 years?
