1. This reminds me of the commercial that had Kenny Lofton, Michael Johnson, and some other speedsters sitting around in group therapy saying.  "I'm really not that fast."
2. Trocket - Some of us will be there, but more of us will be at home listening to radio and wishing we were there. thanks for the safe trip wish. Definitely hope no one is injured. I cant wait for this game. I think it is going to be a good one. May the best team win.
3. One other thing go to Bridge city and gas up. Gas is 2.77 a gallon right now.
4.   1) Place cell phone, cameras.I pads, glasses, radios, etc on lanyard. If you drop something it is going in the yard with guard       dogs, they will pick up the phone and call for back up.(band parents pass this to your kids for music, mouthpiece,       etc.) Also bring a flashlight for those who don't get this memo. you'll be a hero. if you go below the stands to retrieve       something you will know why the homers refer to their stadium as 'The Jungle'   2) Leave your binoculars at home, you want need them unless you want to try and see the announcer in the pressbox just   to see if she is for real. Leave zoom lens for camera at home unless you want a shot of your favorite players eyes.   3) Bring ear muffs to drown out loud, obnoxious home announcer.   4) now for the good news. - if you get a seat. it will be no worse than the 20 yd. line.   5) Anything you yell out at your favorite player will be heard loud and clear. This also applies to the refs.   6) You will be able to hear what the players and coaches or saying. ( may be another reason for ear muffs)   7) Last you will be able to see and hear some hitting going on and you'll remember football is a full contact     sport and that is why we love it so much. You will also have a renewed admiration for these young men who     play.   PS  - Before lions fans jump on me too much. If you need any help from the locals, you will find that they are           very willing to help in any way they can. Police, neighbors behind the stadium, sponsors, aisle monitors,           concession stand workers, etc
5.   In 1999 Kendall Briles from Stephenville against PNG They had him backed up to about the 50 yd line for what would have been a 20 yd loss. He dodged about 7 or 8 tacklers and turned it in to a touchdown. In fact I believe his performance in that game was the best I have ever seen in a high school game.
6.   I saw Livingston play Huntsville and PNG play Texas City. I don't think Livingston has the speed that Texas city has. I don't believe Huntsville is very good at all. I think it will be a high scoring game that PNG wins, but if PNG gets out to an early lead I think they will win big.
7.
teams from 17 4A in the top 12  - WOW! that is impressive :o
I said 4 teams from 17 4A (sorry about that)
8. teams from 17 4A in the top 12  - WOW! that is impressive :o
9. I haven't heard the Silsbee announcer. I have heard the Lumberton announcer ... another Lumberton  1st down, which backfired on them when they played PNG last time there and the whole PNG fan base started saying that back to them everytime PNG made a 1st down. But, the most annoying, biased, home announcer goes to Livingston hands down... 'he's still on his feet, he's still on his feet!!.... Fumble!!!  get that ball... in a shrill high pitched Reba Macintire (sp?) like voice.  :o
10. I've had people ask me to 'sit DOWN' at the state final (PNG /Stephenville) obviously not PNG fans. I've also had a lady 25 seats over wave for me to quit whistling. I was about to go postal. This is a football game and it is the state championship! I like to get loud and get on the refs and I hurt for the boys when they make mistakes, but I think 99% of the time I control any negative comments to the players and coaches.(the coaches have families in the stands) It grieves me when fans head for the exits when their team has just gone down by ?? points. I have seen way too many come backs, plus it is just disrespectful to the players who have worked very hard to be there.
11. 1) PNG - Livingston - PNG wins in a shootout. 2) Ned - Vidor -  Ned wins big 3) Brenham - Magnolia - Magnolia wins by 1 (added my picks as little twist)
12.
Media loves the 7 pm kicks. It's been like that for 5A schools. I just like it because after by live shot at 6:50 I don't have to wait around for kickoff! Also photogs can shoot better highlights.
Is this the main reason for the change to help the media ??
13.
geeezzz...what's he gunna be like as a senior?...wow ;D
I'm thinking he might be at another school when he's a senior.
14. Sarge, thanks. Riveting post. May God bless all those who lost love ones on that day. We do need to remember.
15. Hey thanks, for all the info.  I was hoping for one a little closer and teams more familiar but there is certainly some good ones to see. I am kind of torn between PNG JV and Obama's speech.
16. What are some good Thursday night games that are scheduled?  I'm thinking the weather is too nice for football not to go 3 nights this weekend.
17. Picking the dogs in this one by 14 points
18. Not complaining, but I thought surely Joe Washington should be in those pix.
