1.
Vidor's punt returner running over the punter from crosby on the side line has to be one of my favorite plays of the game.
That was #3 - right? I loved that. He dropped his shoulder and hammered that guy.
 2. It seems like most of the comments about the game were based on the radio broadcast. I was there and believe that does make a difference. I feel like Crosby's coaches made the mistake of passing when they were running wild, that led to the interception. But the play on the ball by #3 the Vidor player who intercepted was textbook. (by the way very impressed with his whole game) The fumble on the kickoff was the result of a Vidor player laying the wood, so give credit where credit is due. Vidor's kickoff coverage was excellent all night and they kicked off plenty of times to get a look at that. ;D Crosby could not stop Vidor's running game, Vidor got a lead and ground it  out the way they hope they can every time they play. They beat Crosby all night at the line of scrimmage. As far as Crosby's penalties I believe the crowd noise was a factor with illegal procedure calls. Crosby's personal foul penalties were legitimate and it is my opinion that #11 should have been thrown out of the game on the 1st personal foul penalty he got, but he was able to come back in and get some more. (lack of discipline?? coaching??)  Crosby's twins are something.  Conclusion - Crosby may have had more raw talent, but Vidor had more heart and played like a well oiled machine as a team. Coach Matthews made some gutsy calls with the 3? 4th down calls with about 1 yd to go, but the way they were getting 3-4 yards on almost every play made the calls no brainers. Congratulations Crosby on a good season and a lot to build on. Congratulations Vidor and thanks for letting me share the moment. Go 20 - 4A.

Doesn't even sound like the same team! 1 penalty against BH for 5 yards the whole game and 0 turnovers :-[
.                                                                                                      Nope it is the same team that beat you last week vidor runs the same system you guys do vidor is way better
Thank you for your expert analyisis to bad its WRONG 8)
thank you for your expert spelling
 4. I know this a football forum, but with all the 20 4a vs 19 4a smack, The volleyball teams are playing tonight, should get a gauge of who has a tough sports district. I'm Picking Ozen to beat BH.

Oh yeah and most improved football facility if there is such a thing although visitor parking sux and I had to listen to that inspiring chant of we can will for what seemed like an eternity.
Visitor parking sux at BH ?  As opposed to Dayton ?  Wow !  In Dayton, we usually have to park at the walgreens 2 blocks away. Don't get me wrong, It is a nice new parking lot at the walgreens...
agreed.... But, that got you excited enough for your first post?!?! I figured tyrone coulda coaxed you out of silence well before then.
Speaking of Tyrone - Is he Okay - seems like he is not here as much as in the past - real job? Kids? school? wife?  ;D
 6.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PIRATESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! I have been to games pregnant, sick, rain, hail, infants in tow...as young as a couple of weeks.  I am a PIRATE until the day I die.  One year had to miss because my youngest decided she wanted to be born the Wednesday before...it about killed me and it was HOMECOMING! Anyway, good luck to both teams.  Play hard, play long and may the best team win...stay injury free.
You have my vote for most dedicated fan. I thought I was pretty hard core, but I am a wimp compared to that.  :-\ ::) :o :-\

 8. Does anybody play saturday night if so we would need a sunday morning headline section that would have said - Ozen beats Livingston, I repeat "Ozen BEATS Livingston!!! Sends PNG & Vidor fans scrambling for people who can actually understand what this means to the playoff situation in 20 4A
 9. I think most coaches could care less about homecoming because of all the distractions and drama/homecoming stuff that almost always involves star football players as queen candidate escorts, etc. I know some schools have the players out on the field during half time when they coaches would love to have them in the field house talking strategies. I don't like that homecoming is against Vidor because it is certainly not a gimme game.
 10. I'm guessing it was a relatively small country school, sounds like some of the guys I knew from Tyler county. ;D
Most of the votes are coming from Vidor since most of them don't have jobs and have nothing to do during the day other than play on here while they are watering the weeds in front of their single wides. ;D ;D ;D ;D
Okay, folks. Let's play nice.
Grad, it is just a joke between me and my best friend who actually lives and is from Vidor.  He was over the house a couple weeks ago and a truck drove by with pallets of grass in the back and he turned to me and said "When I get rich I'm going to send my grass out to be mowed"
This reminds me of  a friend that I worked with who when he was accused of living in Vidor, would respond, I dont live in Vidor, but I live so close that my wife's teeth are loose. ;D
 12. Lord, please have mercy on this family and all of Vidor.
 13. I only saw him play against PNG. Lions fans, in your opinion was this his best game this year? I can't imagine him having a better game than that one.
 14.
Ozen 10 PNG 28 Too much speed for PNG  ;)
I'm not sure what you mean, please elaborate.
 15. Every time I think about this I laugh till i cry - true story - there was this team (local) that had not been good for several years so needless to say they played a lot of homecoming games. Kid comes up to the coach in front of everyone and says "Hey coach is our homecoming at home this year?"  ;D ;D ;D
 16.

After seeing both Dog fans....Whos the favorite when Vidor and the Lions play?
Wrap up and keep Collins in check and Vidor has a legit shot.  Nederland did a decent job of running against their D.  Should be a good game.
Did Devonte Mays play for Livingston tonight ? (#24)
 17. Man I hate to hear that. Hope he is good for other sports later in the year. I will be praying for him.
 18. If the 'Bull' is healthy Livingston wins by 17, if he is not then it will be close with Livingston winning by 3.
 19. I almost always sit in the general admission seats and last night in that section and the 1st reserved section next to us the fans disappointed me  very much. they were way too quiet and uninvolved on critical downs. I felt like Ned fans won the fan battle last night. I believe Png fans are becoming more and more spoiled. I have tried to get the people around me to get up and  make noise, but it doesn't work too well. I've watched former players who just sit there and watch the game. I never played myself. I have wondered how much actually having played affects the way you view the game. I've always thought that players on the field want their fans to be loud, I try to do my part. But just like a Ned fan stated earlier you could have heard a pin drop several times during the game on our side. I know some people or more emotional than others and always will be, but I think PNG fans need to have there batteries recharged or something. I know there are PNG fans that will jump on me for this, but I call like I see it. I almost never leave early for 3 reasons - 1) never know what will happen <i.e cental/png 2 years ago> 2) Its disrespectful to the boys who have worked hard for a long time to give me a great time at a good price - if there would have been a game tonight I believe I would have gone 3) It gives your opponents internet          material  >:(
 20. The 2nd article says PNG beat Ned 15 straight from 69 to 83, Is that right? I was thinking something different, but I know some of you stat gurus can find out. PP4ever? AAW?
 21. Trocket saw a good game last week that ended up 42 to 28. The score did not tell how good and close the game was till about 2 or 3 minutes were left.
 22. Trocket - thanks for the good sportsmanship. This was a great game in a great atmosphere. I think I prefer watching a game at Livingston over just about anywhere. Such closeness to everything. I'm upset that we lost, but we lost the turnover battle and you cannot do that against a very good team. I was very impressed with the execution by Livingston. Our defense played pretty well, but you have to have a big strong defensive player that is able to bust up the wall that is coming at you. like one of the schexnider boys who just graduated. Also a stat that says a lot 0 punts. I'm proud of the PNG team for not quitting on either side of the ball. I think I was starting to get used to your announcer  ;D ;D  Hope you guys go deep in the playoffs, not sure how Division 1 or 2 stacks up, but I would love to see a rematch.
 23. Word on the street (at least with my teenagers) is that the PNG band is going to be put out on the track at the game tonight to allow for more fans in the stands. I checked scopes .... no just kiddin
 24. I listened to these guys a little last week and they are petty good.  They also have a good post game with scores from all around so those of you who are traveling home after the game can tune in and get some more football.
