Well, since I'm probably the lone Deweyville fan here, I will say this...My team looked really good last night. It will be a special year for the 'Ville. Someone please screenshot this so when we become famous I can be the "You heard it here first" guy. 🤣

Defense pitched a shutout...Offense ran the table. Absolutely, we know where we need to improve but that's the point of a scrimmage, after all. Our kids got to suit up and go and no school had a significant injury. 😊

The biggest victory is all these kids got to strap up and hit someone new finally. 🤣

Did your team do better/worse than expected in the scrimmages so far?

Anyone know where the scrimmage is?

Deweyville Pirates looking tough this year!  Head to Head vs. Hardin, Offense put up 3 scores, Defense pitched the shutout. In make-it, take-it vs West Hardin and Hardin, Offense puts up 2 and Defense again gave up none. Great things ahead for the Pirates. Great to see the conditioning and physicality. Most importantly, the kids got to play and no injuries for any of the schools.

The 'Ville is nursing a few injuries our first time out, couple returning linemen that we'll sorely miss and cant wait to get them back for the 3rd game. Couple hungry young men ready to step in and help until then. They'll definitely put up a fight. I'm so excited!  Day after tomorrow!!!!!

We've got a nice area picked out and cleaned for it.

That's ok Rebs, y'all take it easy and get healed up. We'll take care of WH.  But we will expect a RiverBowl 2020!

Hey Net! Thank you for the kind words. I feel exactly the same. I have a feeling we'll be cleaning out a spot for that River Bowl trophy over in the 'Ville this year. It's always a barn-burner between these two though. Honestly, we do look really good. I know y'all graduated a whole lot of studs but I know you have some coming up to fill those shoes. How about a friendly "gentlemens" wager?  I'm thinking a  DQ Blizzard to the winner?

Yes sir!  We both moved down to where we should be...finally!   I posted last year about the similarities. Just a bunch of tough, well-coached kids who don't have "quit" in their hearts.

I completely understand that most folks here are concerned with our local "dynasty" teams and the bigger schools and I am 100% behind that as well. I do have to say this though.... The Deweyville Pirates are gonna make a lot of noise this year...and they are earning that right every practice. My apologies if y'all thought this was a Vidor post, but I feel that they are gonna deal out plenty damage to their opponents as well!  Go Pirates!

Poor thing... He and/or She seems to be under the assumption that injuring law enforcement officers, burning federal buildings, violent attacks on citizens and desecrating statues is peacefully protesting. Maybe that's why it's so hard to grasp the concept that a free, American citizen could cast a ballot for any candidate that they choose??? I still think that's hard for (and I'm not trying to assign gender here) him and/or her to grasp. You don't need to understand but please....keep "educating" us  unenlightened mouth-breathers". He and/or She is busy now...probably digging in mom's purse for a $20 to send to AOC.

My entire life it was explained to me that the Democratic party was for the "working people" and those damn Republicans were for the rich. I became a Republican in 2000, I was 23.  I feel like most on here that are close to my age (or older) have a similar story.

That's right NetCat!!!!  There's plenty of bad news to go around...I'm gonna be excited about this!

And I'm not judging...just asking a question.

How could it be justified that you are concerned about Covid-19 only during school hours and not during practice, locker rooms,workouts or games?  

We'll see pretty soon (hopefully) we have them as our second scrimmage this year
