You've always been more level-headed than some of your Tiger fans also. Tonight was tough and I hope you guys play Carthage tougher than we did. We'll never be fans of each other's teams, but I'd have a cold one and talk some football with you any day...
That's what I'm talking about!!! I wore my DV pullover and went and cheered on HD tonight. The majority of us are here for the right reasons. Great season Bulldogs, I hate that it didn't work out this year but I'm certain you'll be back in the thick of it next year.

Might have bit off more than they could chew.
I was a supportive observer tonight, but a district rival of HD's...The young men played hard, as always. In my own opinion...should've been 7-6 at Half. Why in the world do you take a shot on 3rd and long from your own 4 with 39 seconds left in the 2nd qtr. in a 7-6 game? Run the ball, roll the clock and go take a 28 minute break. I'm not sure how much they can chew...but the kids played hard and put themselves in a good position. WS definitely has some big play weapons and they definitely earned their victory tonight. Great season for both programs and good luck to WS!

I was inclined to to pick this one myself but that 4th seed is definitely winning that one
Deweyville definitely wins this one...44-8.

Thanks for the love everybody! I truly mean that. This is a great group of young men who have a Coaching staff that works as hard as they do. My son is a Senior and honestly, with Covid and Hurricanes...this year has been an emotional roller coaster, for sure. You never knew when it could all be shutdown. I'm proud of these young men for playing each snap like it could be their last...I'm not a fan...I am a very proud Dad and all these boys are like my kiddos. The 'Lil Red Machine Rolls!!!!!

Sorry about all those Pick Em boards 🤣🤣🤣

Final!!! 44-8. These young men were hungry...and they made DHS history. Congratulations Pirates!!!!!

Cushing is a lot like DV, no real size but a smaller, athletic and physical team. It will be a great game, no doubt. Apologies in advance for throwing a wrench in the Pick 'Em's this week! 🤣 Thanks for all the well-wishes! Hope to bring one back for the 409.

I really don’t see this game being much different from the last time these two played unless Cushing really has a few key players injured. Judging by the score from their last game against Colmesneil that just may be the case but Cushing is still the favorite in my opinion. Good luck to Deweyville though.
This will be a much different game than back in September...
1. DV will have 4 starters that weren't available the first game (3 starter O/D Linemen)
2. Due to Hurricane Laura, DV was completely out of power during this time.
3. DV was able to scrounge up 13 kids for a single 1 &1/2 hr practice, the day before the first game of the season vs Cushing.
4. Cushing's big bruiser FB/LB had knee surgery last week. He was a key player on that team.
Cushing scored all 3 of their TD's in the first 6 mins of the game. (1 offensive drive, 1 special teams and 1 red-zone turnover). They were held scoreless the last 42 mins of the game. They ran the option but now, split time with 2 QB's, in the option and in the Spread. Sure, we got beat and this is in no way an excuse...just trying to prove my point that Cushing will face a different team tomorrow night.

Hate to hear that for HD...It's tough enough trying to keep a 20-25 kids healthy down at our level. I know the ones that do hit the field will play hard regardless.
-
Well, I'm hoping the Bobcats pull this one out. Good Luck from the 'Ville HD!
-
Cushing will see a very different Pirate team than they faced 5 days after Laura hit.
-
Cushing wins 60 - 38
-
I'd like to see the Bulldogs pull this off but I think Cushing takes it...with that being said, I think it will be a little closer than most might think.

Don't have a dog in the fight anymore but I can say this...Newton is young but they're getting better every game. Heavy is the crown and these young men will carry that weight. I think they'll have a good playoff run but it's not going to be another Jerry World year. It's a tough grind for these smaller powerhouse programs to always live up to your reputation (WO-S) had a similar year or two but they will be just fine! WO-S is showing that they just might be a Jerry World team this year. Be patient and it trust in your program.

Ok...If you've got a D1 guy on your team named "Moe Lester"...well, I forgot what I was gonna say but...um. He sounds like a Beast, and that may or may not be a WWE name but it's probably not PC enough for WWE...Sorry, I completely lost my train of thought there 🤣🤣🤣
