    It wasn’t terrible, my complaint was the whole first half the audio on their end was too low. I guess when you are used to Gary and crew broadcasting, thats just a high bar to have to jump over. Lol.  I also understand how difficult it is to broadcast when you really only know the team names, not the players. I appreciate the free audio feed though. It’s better than having to follow a game by Facebook updates.

    I’ve always been a big believer in a system, or a rhythm. It has happens to us. The Jasper kids weren’t in the normal routine in game day, plus it was a completely different team they were facing than scouted. That all equals an off game. I’m not blaming the loss solely on that, however, it sure didn’t help. Jasper will be fine.

    As much as I want to be a homer and agree with you, both teams played in that crap and Silsbee just strait up beat us. I was rooting for the Tigers to beat Cuero but man, Whittington was a beast. Would the match up have been better if WOS played Cuero? Maybe. But Silsbee earned the right to represent Reg 3.

    I first read that as Cam Newton. I was like dang, Newton got a hell of a transfer this time. Lol!!

    Glad y'all are getting more schools.

    My daughter just started her Freshman year at Grand Oaks HS. Its only a year old and will be a pretty big 6A when they have all 4 grades coming up next year. I believe she has 1600 kids in her Freshman class. Whats interesting is from my house off of 99/Birnham Woods area all the way to 99/69 in Porter, there is just land. About 10 miles of it. I'm sure that gap will be closed here in the next few years.

The 94 team was special and WOS came in 2nd in district behind us. To bad we couldn’t have joined teams to take on Lamarque lol

    What is hilarious, I still see people wearing the '94 District Champ shirts still to this day. LOL!!

Jasper beat lcm with a late minute field goal to win the district championship 14-16. The 1994 team was faster and bigger then WOS that year. That has been the last time we really outmatched them on the field. The 1997 Team played them a tight game but couldn't beat them and we both ending up loosing to Lamarque. I just watched the 97 highlight where WOS lost the week prior to Lamarque and came to our pep rally to support us to beat them. Those were good years.

    I was at that pep rally and also was on the sidelines in the Dome supporting yall. Had some good friends that played on that team. I remember telling Omey after that first breakout touchdown to not think LaMarque will roll over. Lol! We saw fist hand how good they were the week prior. That was the first game I ever played in that I figured out what we (WOS) would do to people even before the kickoff which was the fear factor for other teams. We were no where near afraid of LaMarque but it was pretty impressive when we walked out the locker room for warmups and all you hear is what seemed like 15 thousand LaMarque fans chanting "We are LaMarque Coogars Woosh" over and over. lol. Not to mention some of the players looked like they could start for the University of Texas. They were HUGE!

    Just glanced at a couple pages over on Smoaky.... classic!! Hahahaha!!

    its like every other thread about Newton....early in the week “Newton hasn’t played anyone” “well match up with their speed” “this is our year” blah blah...and after the game.....”damn, that Newton team is good” “we’ll be back next year” “they can beat 6A teams” “i like my crow served hot”.....lol!!!!
