[/quote Of course they do, they are a private school and are allowed to do it. There biggest selling point was we can help u with ur grades so u have a chance. Bingo bango bongo, sold to mr Jackson
2.

Stevie went to oakhill cause that was his only chance to possible get his sat, and credit high enough to get in d1 college!!!!!
Melo was in that situation and went to Oak Hill, according to his book. Go Oak Hill
I agree smart decision by both

4. Coaches still make the final decisions, but I believe this is a little different than cake and ice cream. Not really a good comparison. The Ned, kids where given a choice and everyone voted to play for out right champs. I believe English is a pretty darn good coach. By him asking his kids, does that mean he offers em ice cream before games? U are killing me
5. I bet if u asked the central kids what they wanted, they would have choose to play.
6. Not if they both would have agreed to play it for the district championship. Of course that's only what the district policy says. Now the game could have been played just for seedings, if one team choose not to play if for out right district champs. Ned wanted to play for out right district champs.
7. If they would have both agreed to play for the outright district championship, then it wouldn't have been co. Both coaches would have had to agree to this. Nederland wanted to play for out right champs
8.
There is a bigger picture than a district win. To some teams who are use to winning at a certain level, they are more focused on the NEXT LEVEL. In this case, regional and Austin.
Just worry about moving up to 2nd in district, before u talk about regionals. Heck just worry about winning all jv district games, before regionals.
9. Spin it however I want??? I an just stating 20-4a district rules. If I was coaching a team silsbee, hj, Ned, central, I would be playing all day. How could  I look my kids in the eye and say I think is better to concede. I couldn't do it.
10. If both coaches agree that the game is for the district Champ, then it could be played as the district championship game. But since both are not agreeing to play it that way, it is only for seeding purposes only. With both being Co-district champions.
11. 100 people in the marching band, 1 out of step, yet it's the other 99 Band members fault.
12. Obviously by dawgs last post they did. Congrats bluedove on ur first big win.
13. Need to show em something after that last beat down
14. Yes theres a new ad, but cross was hired in 09, before the new ad. And won rt away
15. Everybody needs to remember this is the same Dickie that said winning at lamar pa would never happen as long as Bill W was there. Of course one new coach and a year later, we all know hiw good lamar pa has done. So people need not worry to much about his judgement of coaching talent.
16.

Don't most colleges lift all year around?
And a lot of high schools. Makes a difference when you have some strength ;)
No most Colleges Don't lift year round, during season usually once a week, to maintain.
17. And wasn't meaning to disrespect what Boutte did in 07, calling it a great job. Awesome job it is
18. Not a betting man, I work to hard for my money. But no one can convince me other wise that ozen had way more talent than vidor. And there was only one ot game. Vidor lost 3 games in district, and ozen lost 2. All I know is when they faced each other with close talent, English won all 3
19. What Boutte did is 07, was a great job. Now back to 04, ozen was easily the better team in my opinion. George w was never going to byu, byu so him one game and said thanks but No thanks , Jake m, went d11, d1 told him tks but no tks. Ozen Ballard played at st marys, peanut b, played Lamar pa, same as George, and then Joe lamb went juco. So to say vidor was better, one could easily look at lay-ups lines to see who had more talent. And central only beat vidor once that year. Equal talent english will x and o Boutte to death
20. The real question is who would win with equal talent? IMO English. His vidor team was not as good as Boutte ozen team, the year English swept him 3-0
21.
There was no question at all that with that amount of time left (and with the previous continueation 3 point shot that was waived off by officials) that Kristain was going to shoot that 3.  Ozen should have just played good defense and lived with the outcome of a contested 3.
I agree just play good d and if he makes the 3, good shoot
22. Dickie on the central ozen game, where they trying to foul to send them to shoot 2 at the free-throw line, and just got caught fouling while he was shooting a three? Or where they just going to guard and play it out? That's the old discussion of to foul or not to foul
23. Wow some are touchy touchy. Truth gets to some more than others
24. As soon as ur best players goes down with a season ending injury, I bet most want play many starters again with a big lead late in the game
