  1. I don't care what you say.....its pathetic.
  2. Whats the deal with the dead field at HD?
  3. This is my official apology to Crosby Football. Early in the year I was very critical of this team, it's defense, and its QB. I have been proven wrong on most of the things I was critical of and I would like to apologize. I would also like to apply for official membership to the Cougar Bandwagon. If my application is accepted, I will vow to support Cougar football for the remainder of the season, and hopefully all the way to Arlington. That is all.
  4. Liberty gets taken to the woodshed Friday. WOS by 35+
  5. I don't know you sir, but bravo.
  6. HJ wins this game by 14. Liberty isn't the same team they were last year and it will show against a formidable opponent.
  7. What percentage of those IMG kids end up with that free college? Also, is he paying to go there?
  8. Worst thing that’s ever happened to HS Fb. I don’t understand parents that will allow trot kids to move and let this happen.
  9. Stattrax mentiones Ware and Brown and guy who are from the area. What I have noticed is that most of the sports reporters are fresh faced, straight from college guys/gals who are just biding their time to grab a better job. Sports reporters are changed out in BMT like underwear and it hardly gives any of them the time to understand the tradition and mystique of this area. Back when the main guys were from here, they understood and the coverage was amazing! I used to rush home from my games to watch the Friday Night Tailgate Party on Channel 6.......those days are long gone. Having said that, the set up on FSSW on Friday nights is phenomenal on a state wide level.
  10. My friend, my opinions of you have been shaped by my interactions with you on this board. If I have missed the mark, it's because you have portrayed yourself poorly. I have read plenty of books and feel pretty confident that my intellect is something you shouldn't be questioning. There is no hate in me except the hate that burns against the ideology you portray in every one of your posts on this subject. You are the worst kind, the kind that won't even open their mind to new ideas or consider that they might be wrong. You've already made your mind up before entering into the conversation so it's worthless to continue to talk to you about the subject. All I can do is continue to pray that men like you have your eyes opened, and continue to fight injustice when I encounter it. I promise you I will not get tired of the fight.
  11. Just for clarities sake, are you contending that white people in this country have encountered racism that is comparable to the racism that the AA community has dealt with? Are you saying that AAs in Seattle don't encounter the same type of racism that exists in the south? So the black man from Seattle has no idea what "real" racism is because he's never lived in Georgia or Beaumont? There was a time that I didn't discuss race relations. A time where I stuck my head in the sand and tried to act like everything was ok. Then I started having conversations with my AA friends and co-workers and genuinely asking them to explain their experiences and perspective. I listened to them tell stories of white dads who threatened them with guns when they came to pick up their dates. Stories of SETX dads who clearly told these guys that their daughter would never date a "ni.....". Stories of being followed around in stores and threatened in parking lots by white men who said they got too close to their white wives when walking beside them. And listen, these aren't your "crotch grabbing", "gang clothes wearing" AAs that you guys blame everything on, these men work in a professional setting and mostly have college degrees. Even with those qualifiers that you all say would "change things", they have had these experiences. I could keep going on, but with each conversation my heart broke a little more, I understood a little more, and I got angrier. That's what qualifies me to discuss racial relations. I have actually spent time with those affected and genuinely listened and considered their stories. What qualifies you? Headlines on fox news or infowars? Maybe you could try to sit down with an AA co-worker and ask him to explain to you what it's like being a black man in America. It might blow your mind.
  12. Here's the reality, the difference between you and I is that we have totally different definitions of racism. You want to draw a line at civil rights and say that everything prior to the movement shouldn't count anymore because "blacks" have their rights and they should just get over it. You refuse to see systematic racism and "white flight" to communities such as Lumberton, Vidor, and PNG as a peril that has kept AAs in their current social status for much longer than necessary. You refuse to see how pumping money into the west end of Beaumont and no where else has caused the other parts of the community to deteriorate while the "white" side of town has grown and flourished. You don't see those things.,,,you don't want to see those things. You just want to spout your self righteous crap and pat yourself on the back for not promoting "extermination of minorities and Jews" and use that as proof that you are not racist. I'd implore you to consider being a part of the solution and not a part of the problem.
  13. And you know what else, you've got some kind of balls to tell a black man that he doesn't have any idea about the topic of racism. Good Lord you people are a piece of work.
  14. Did I say that you wouldn't say that in front of a crowd of blacks? No....I said you wouldn't say it in a public place. I know it's hard for you to believe, but you and your buddies racist rhetoric is abhorred by lots of white people too. And a lot of us white people who are tired of this narrative, are also tired of being quiet about it. Tired of hearing it and willing to fight right beside our brothers and sisters of color to ensure that it stops, or at the least the light is shone on those who refuse to progress. Oh, and lots of racists have black friends who are welcome in their homes. That doesn't excuse the things you say. Have you ever called him a "black" to his face......bet you haven't.
  15. You forgot to call him "boy".....
  16. I'll jump back in here, even though I should pay attention to my better judgment and move along. You stated that "blacks do not want to move in, they want to take over". First off, calling them "blacks" is ignorant and highlights everything that is wrong with your way of thinking. Secondly, who exactly is it that these "blacks" want to take over? In your mind, it's not just that an African American family may move into Lumberton, it's that "blacks" want to "take over". You do this constantly on this site. You build arguments to try and make everyone believe that racism is a thing of the past and that minorities aren't treated any more unfairly than anyone else in the world, when in reality everyone knows that is not true. You and your buddies talk about "gang clothing" and "crotch grabbing" and say that culture is not an excuse, all the while expecting to be accepted in northern states for saying the words "y'all" and wearing cowboy hats. Are "y'all" and cowboys hats not cultural things? Were we not taught that by our fathers and our grandfathers? So why wouldn't clothing, speech, and posture also be cultural issues in the African American community? You won't consider that because it doesn't fit the narrative and allows you to sit back and leave things like they are. If you actually thought some of this through, you might have to consider that African Americans weren't trying to "take over" (I can only assume you mean taking over your all white neighborhood), but rather trying to live in nicer neighborhoods, flee higher crime rates, and enroll their kids in better schools. The problem is, they aren't afforded these luxuries because men like you aren't going to allow AAs to "take over". That, sir is racism and it's rampant on this board and drips off of the words each of you speak (type). The vast majority of you all wouldn't repeat half of what you type here in a public place. You wouldn't sit down to dinner and discuss these topics with me in open forum because the next table over might hear you talking about "blacks taking over". You post here because this board cloaks your shame and allows you to be exactly who you want to be. You guys have me answering all these questions, I have one for you all: What if your daughter brought home a non "gang clothes wearing", non "crotch grabbing", African American boy one day after school? How would you react to that?
  17. Not even sure what to say to this statement. Illustrates my point and is a great exit point for me. Enjoy your cesspool of race baiting and vitriol gentlemen. I will no longer allow myself to be a part of it.
  18. Says the guy who probably has his radio locked in on 740 and goes to sleep after watching Carlson and Hannity. I worship at the feet of one God who is clear about his stance on racial equality. He doesn't care who wears what.
  19. No, I actually find reparations insulting. As if someone's dignity has a dollar amount assigned to it. The man literally said that if they were wearing "gang clothing" he would be scared. I don't have to suppose what's going on in his mind to know what he is thinking. He has told us. You, and those of your ilk, are so blinded by your narrative that you cannot bring yourself to consider what it's like to be told that your clothes make you scary. Everyone can agree that we have made "substantial progress" on the civil rights front, but let's not act like the bar was set very high. Simple human rights were being denied to AAs before the civil right's movement. Allowing someone of a different color to sit next to you in a restaurant is not something to pat yourself on the back about. Try untying some of the cultural barriers that rich white people have fought for years to keep into place before you talk to me about civil rights progress. Hell, try moving some black families into Lumberton first. Then I'll talk with you.
  20. Dressed out in gang clothing? Translation: It's your fault that people view you as a criminal because of how you are dressed. Dress better boy! And are you really going to beat the drum for "white people who passed civil rights legislation" and act like their hand wasn't forced by the bravery of so many African Americans who fought for their own civil rights? You are definitely a piece of work. Those same white people who were so kind as to allow the negros to drink from their whitey water fountains were the same ones who held office when they had to get their food from the back door of restaurants! Give me a break.
  21. [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] This is so you will stop asking the question, not because I think it will make you stop being ignorant.
  22. No knowingly illustrated the problem with my explanation of why cops are killing black men. You offer no rebuttal, but have no issue dismissing the statement.
  23. That's it? That's all you pulled out of what I wrote? This is the problem.
