The end has been near since Jesus said the end was near. When you are dealing with an eternal God, everything is near. 100 years is near, 500 years is near. Not up to us to sit around and wait on it, we are to live to God's glory every single day.....whether the end is near or not. This is what you get with "get right" theology. "Get right" because the end is near. They don't realize that God is gathering his children unto Himself. We don't "get right" because the end is near and we fear Hell, we "get right" because the Grace of God compels us and the Holy Spirit regenerates our dead hearts.

What usually happens when coaches are hired as assistants and apply for hc jobs shortly thereafter? I am just wondering if Coach Morgan would have an issue with Bass applying for the BC job prior to every coaching a practice at PAM.

Let me play devil's advocate......What do we do with the fact that there were no criminal charges brought up and this is all stemming from a civil lawsuit? Surratt doesn't strike me as a guy would cover up this type of crime on account of a player, one who wasn't even considered to the a star when it happened, and a coach on his staff. Do you all think we are rushing to judgement here?

HJ > Kountze in every way. Especially when HJ is home.

IF the man never moved from Humble to PA, he never intended to stay at PA. Simple as that.

Kountze and HJ are similar in that basketball is king. HJ has had some moderate success lately and shown they are willing to support the team. Joubert would be familiar with the type of program he was stepping into and be more resourced at HJ than at Kountze. He is definitely a football guy who is able to coach basketball at a high level, which might endear him to the community. Being a hometown guy he could be a uniting leader rather than one who causes a FB vs BB mentality. It's a no brainer.....considering he is interested.

They may have a basketball coach, but Joubert may be the best assistant in the state!! I am sure if he wanted to coach basketball, they would find him a seat on the bench.

Dicky V is somewhere trying to campaign for the BISD job because he was once TCAL coach of the year......ya know....that makes him a better coach than Dave Bliss since they competed against one another there.

Finally, some sanity. I have attended the entire championship weekend every year since 2012 and I can tell you, AT&T is the best there is to offer. The year it was at NRG felt stagnant compared to when it is at AT&T. Houston had its chance and the people of Houston did not turn up to the games. It's as simple as that.

Look for a certain athletic director from another of the smaller schools in our area to be in play for this one.

The old model didn't make nearly as much money as the new model. NRG, Alamodome, hasn't/won't make nearly as much money at AT&T. Drop the pipe dream. The games are where they will always be forevermore.
