He reminds me a lot of Coach Pickle in the way that he focuses on developing young men. Intangibles are especially important at this level on and off the field and Coach could probably teach a master class to other coaches on the value of that. We've already seen how that translates in games....

I saw that KJAS will be streaming games again this season. Are Ron Vickers and Johnny Mecom still calling the games?

Spend some time at Rayburn if you get a chance...and go to the Cedar Tree Restaurant in town. 

They're about 55 students bigger than Newton. It would be fun to see those two schools throw down,

This is the last year of livingston old stadium next season livingston will have a brand new football stadium on campus of the high school!!

That was a rough year for us. We went 4-5 and had trouble scoring points. This '21 version of ours was similar in that way.

I thought hiring Barbay was a great move at the time, but this should be a home run. I haven't ever seen this kind of excitement surrounding a new coach for the Bulldogs!

I'm looking forward to week 4 Jasper vs Franklin. Been wanting to play some teams from the SETX area. Would love to play Newton again and WOS one day

kudos to  Jasper ISD for making an intelligent hire. WOCCISD should've outsourced the hiring of their coach to these guys. I'm excited for the Dawgs

I really like this coach.

He runs a high caliber offense that scores a ton of points. Couple that with a great DC in Malcolm Bronson and we're on to something. It may not ramp up immediately, but I think we're on the verge of something special for a long time.

I (along with everyone in town I talk to) look so forward to the future of Jasper football. There is most definitely an energy filled excitement in the community.
