I do, too. He's a really good coach that looks a lot better when the defense isn't on the field all night.

I guess I had the wrong impression of him because it seemed like a running joke when he would apply for all of these local jobs and get passed over. Tell me about him as a person and as a coach.

They're not the greatest news outfit in the world, so I'm not surprised that they leaked it.

I had a feeling that we'd hire him at some point. It seemed like he applied the last couple times that job was open. Congrats to him. He's got a hill to climb...

The district put out a survey that was pretty detailed about what people want in a HC/AD along with strengths and weaknesses of the athletic program. It's nice that they're listening for once. Anyway, they're closing that survey on March 1st. I would say that they're very early in the process.

I agree with you, especially when it comes to homegrown coaching talent. It usually doesn't work and they'll chase more money just like anyone else would.

Didn't expect to hear this news today. I wish Coach all the best at Travis and hope that we can get someone that can bring Jasper back to prominence in the area. The Bulldogs were very young last year and on top of that, it seems like participation as a whole at all levels is down. That needs to be fixed.

I guess Goodrich really is awful. Jasper winning by 81 over anybody is insane...

We were blessed to have him for ten years and he got Mansfield (LA) into the playoffs this year for the first time in forever. He's a really good coach. Sure, they should have gone farther in the playoffs a few times, but injuries derailed those runs. Coach Crumedy has had a lot work against him (talent level being the biggest), but our athletic program doesn't win much outside of track and soccer. I've heard that there's better talent coming in the football program, so there's that. It's just a question of whether Kendrick will be there to coach them. He's a good man and a good coach, so I really hope he can have success there soon and be able to stay until he chooses to leave. It just doesn't always work that way.

I'll be pulling for that and success outside of playing us.
