United was lights out with their free throw shooting last night. Keep shooting FTs like that will certainly help them in close games in the playoffs and district.
Silsbee just needs to focus on getting better with each game from here on out.

Tigers will be fine eventually. They looked rough last night. Some of that had to do with who they were playing The other half needs to start improving and getting better pronto. I didn't see Boulwen play either to go along with Williams or Harper.
I think BU could have won 5A again this year. It's a shame they got moved up to 6A by only a few kids. They still got a chance, but 6A is a completely different beast.
Watching their JV play it looks like they got a bunch of little point guards who can shoot the ball really well. Not sure if they got any good big kids on the rise or not yet.

The stud WR from Gilmer played QB most of the night.   Gilmer defense played pretty good against the Carthage offense.  
 
I thought Carthage could have ran the ball straight at Gilmer all night, and the got impatient all night long, and wanted to throw the ball.
Carthage is very good, and that was most likely the 2 best teams in 4AD1, but that is no where near the best Carthage offense they have had.   Their defense is legit, and very young, but not great on offense.

PA should have about 21 right now if they'd stop shooting themselves in the foot.

I've seen some say he is and some say no and some saying game time decision I hope he is just so there are no excuses 

Thing is schools like Liberty Hill and Argyle are pulling from 5A student population numbers now to do what they're doing.
Could Carthage win one game against a 5A? Sure, but that's not the same as running a 5A playoff gauntlet. You're not always gonna be resting your starters after halftime. You might be in a dog fight every game after round 1. They'd either get worn down or somebody would eventually get them.
 
I think a China Springs rematch would be a close ballgame. CS is huge up front. They wouldn't get pushed around.
