I know I'm just being greedy, but I don't like Splendora having nearly 30 points on us right now. 65 - 29.

It's at Kountze? I thought is was at BH also. I would have made plans to go if it really is at Kountze.

The one thing that worries me about Silsbee is a bad shooting night against a team of about equal talent. I remember Silsbee shot the ball terrible two years ago against Argyle at state and almost lost. Could not make a 3 or free throw to save their lives till the 4th quarter. Luckily that was enough.

WO-S shot plenty of 3s in the corner against Silsbee. Can't speak to other games. They made a lot of them too in the first half. That and # 11 is what kept them in the game early on. With the athletes WO-S has, they should have a solid basketball program most every year.

Splendora has decent record, but it doesn't look like they've played and beat anybody really. Saw a pic of the team. They look a lot like Lumberton to me. Unless they shoot 80 percent from the 3 point line or something, they're gonna get slaughtered come Monday.

From what I've seen of WH, they don't look like much. Of course looks can be misleading. Silsbee doesn't look like much to some other teams. I'd be more worried about a team like Decator or Kennedale. They're kinda flying under the radar. Looks like they have 6A size.

I'll say this for Lumberton. They actually looked like they belonged on the court with Silsbee in the 1st quarter. That's an improvement for them. One of their point guards (number 1, I think) played pretty well compared to last game. Don't know who they get in the playoffs, but maybe they can win a game.

Gonna try to make this one after work. I just gotta say, no matter how this season ends, we owe this group of kids a very big thank you for what they've done. Nobody can ever say "good but never won anything" about Silsbee again. Silsbee also has a bright future with the current 7th and 8th grade classes. Can't wait to see the next generation balling in the Tiger den.

It was a bad joke. Being serious for a minute. From a competitive point of view in favor of no shot clock, I would simply ask someone to show me all the teams that have lost ballgames just because the other one held on to the ball. If you can't do that, then I think it's hard to argue for one. If you couldn't take the ball from a team stalling, then maybe you weren't better. I personally hate seeing scores like this though. SA Wagner - 33 Warren - 30. That's high level playoff basketball at the 6A level from last year.

But just imagine being a shot clock manager for Silsbee. Easiest job in the world!

Yeah....its a shame he may not see more than one playoff game.

Don't get me wrong, I certainly think Lumberton should do whatever it takes to give them a chance to win. I just don't personally like it myself.

I rewatched the Carter/Silsbee game last night. That was one of the best games I've ever seen. Even the anouncers said so. Much more entertaining than Silsbee/Argyle. Don't see how anyone can be a fan of this stall ball garbage. Lumberton tries this on Tuesday, and I hope Silsbee shows them no mercy this time around. WO-S ain't gonna win with that coach. How many of his players even really care. He's probably done lost the team, so to speak.
