  1. Wilmer-Hutchins has beaten Austin Westlake, Shadow Creek, and Fort Bend Travis this year. It can happen but it ain't the norm. Kinda wonder what they're doing now. The one time Silsbee played them, it wasn't even a contest.
  2. Yeah. And just think schools like North Shore and The Woodlands are pushing towards 5000 kids.
  3. On paper a school like Beaumont United should be favored to beat Silsbee almost every single year, if not every single year. So I don't blame United fans for feeling like they should have won. Of course being favored doesn't stop a team from a cold shooting night or bad turnovers and questionable coaching decisions. That's why Silsbee can pull off a win against these schools sometimes. Even back when I was in school, Silsbee would get an occasional W against West Brook or Central.
  4. Silsbee now ranked number 2 in 4A in the poll I seen. Wilmer-Hutchins looking legit right now.
  5. Giddings barely beat Liberty. If Silsbee plays like they've been playing they should have this.
  6. West Brook is 4-0, but it looks look like they've played just one tough game. A big school like that beating up on Hardin Jefferson and PNG don't mean much. Silsbee just needs to keep their big in check and don't have another half like they did against PAM and they'll be fine, I think.
  7. It was mentioned in the Hoops Insider preview. Unless they're misinformed, Argyle is region 1. They'll be competing with the likes of Levelland now in their playoff runs. Anyhow, not sure if Silsbee/Westbrook will be as hyped as United. Silsbee/Central (now United) games are always like this. Silsbee and WB are pretty much strangers to each other now,
  8. Not sure. Haven't seen United's. A little off topic and getting way ahead of ourselves here, but man did the UIL grant Argyle a gift by taking them out of region 2 and placing them in region 1. No more competing with Dallas and East Texas schools to make it to state for them.
  9. Memorial is good, but Silsbee also had an off night. Not gonna make the Silsbee lite excuse. The better team on that night won. Memorial also lost by 20 to Lancaster.
  10. Nice win. Now let's get ready for West Brook. Been a few years since they've played them.
  11. I haven't seen them play this year, but it seems like Silsbee has started off strong in every game, then lets the other team slowly come back and beat them.
  12. I just hope the Tigers don't look ahead to the game that could be after this one. Hope they put this team away early.
  13. Didn't really see Tompkins beating Cy-Falls. That one caught me by surprise a little. Region 3 is West Brook's to lose. Let's hope they don't actually do that. They'll very likely face Austin Westlake if they make it out. I'm afraid their season ends there, but that's getting a little ahead of ourselves.
  14. Final Score West Brook - 54 Strake Jesuit - 43 SJ not acting very Catholic like at the end. One player ejected. West Brook has a good chance to come out of region 3 now, but Cy Falls ain't no chumps, assuming they beat Katy Tompkins.
  15. One minute left. It'd take something really freaky for WB to lose this.
  16. WB fumbled but held on to the ball. Just under two minutes left.
  17. WB inside the SJ 11 yard line. Jesuit out of timeouts. Under 3 minutes left.
  18. Westbrook gets a stop. Intentional grounding on Strake Jesuit. If WB scores on their next possession, they may have this.
  19. And just like that, TD West Brook. They now lead 47 - 43. Looking like whoever gets the ball last might win. A little under 7 minutes left in the game.
  20. TD Strake Jesuit. Their RB has killed WB most the night. Now lead the game 43 - 40.
  21. TD Westbrook. Now lead SJ 39 - 33. God I hate that stupid horn.
  22. Westbrook TD called back due to holding. SJ defense looking pretty bad. Might be tired.
