According to Max Preps, Silsbee lost to Lumberton in 2013. The score was 68 - 65. Back when I was in school, if Lumberton ever beat Silsbee in basketball, I don't think the team or coaches would be allowed back in town. I remember some "interesting things" said to Silsbee players during road trips to L-town back in the day, but it's best to leave that can of worms closed. Silsbee ended up having a decent season that year. They lost to Yates in the playoffs to end their season.

Seems like Lumberton has a respectable squad. Might not be quite as easy of a game as some think.

Thomas made 1 or 2 three point shots, I think.

Gotta say the gym was jam packed tonight. Hardly a place to sit on the Silsbee side. Devon did come to life a little in the 3rd. Some of our players look so disinterested in some of these games they know they're gonna win by 50. I know it's hard, but I prefer kill mode at all times. Another thing is Devon and Jordan started as post players. That's a little different than usual. Thomas saw more playing time. I don't think he's ever seen a 3 point shot he didn't like. Didn't like the way Silsbee played at the end, even if it was the bench and we're up by a gazillion. No ball movement at all. Just one on 5 ball and jacking up 3s. No idea where half the JV and freshman team players were at. Silsbee could have easily lost the JV game.

92 - 47. Been garbage time for awhile now.

80 - 38 End of the 3rd.

65 - 29. LCM falling apart.

Bush with back to back 3s. 54 - 24.

He was dunking in warmups. Didn't look like he was getting off the ground like he usually does. Had a chance for a breakaway slam and settled for a layup. He's probably 2 for 12 from the field tonight.

44 - 21. Halftime.

LCM kid with a little jab at Braylon. Sit him down.

Devon is playing but he is not his usual self. Something ain't right.

Tyler with a dunk. 25 - 11.

21 - 9 after 1 quarter.

Adams with a dunk. Tigers lead dunk count 1 - 0.

Adams with a 4 point play. Tigers lead 9 - 3 early.

Tiger JV takes it. Silsbee - 45 LCM - 42 Tigers were down by 9 at halftime.

Looks like only 8 are on JV tonight.

and still won 43 - 26.

Silsbee only has 6 kids playing the freshman game tonight.

I really enjoy going early to see the FR an JV teams play. Coach Brooks has had the JV team playing some shutdown defense these past few weeks. Hope they keep getting better.

Silsbee needs to have a great communications program one day.

What region is Kennedale in? I would assume region 2 given their location, but you never really know. That's another good looking team. Gave College Station their only loss of the season so far. 4A this year is looking really strong overall.

Don't like blow out games. Silsbee by only about 20 points.

Pretty nice shot by Jordan there. Might could have used him on the football field this past year. Hardin Jefferson fans shouldn't worry. You'll get a chance to beat us at the Tiger den in a few weeks Silsbee has lost a few games here and there arguably due to bad officiating in the past, so you'll get no sympathy from us. Sorry.
