I expect Chris Martin to play more of a role next year. Having Devin back will make up for losing Jones. Man I wish we'd had him for four years. Losing Newton and Harris is gonna hurt, no doubt about that. Hopefully we get one or two up from next year's freshman class to play a big role like Braylon did this year. Maybe a move in here or there as well. Silsbee has traditionally been more of a medium sized team. Lots of guys in the 6'2" - 6'4" range. They've had one 6'10" player (Eddie Fobbs) which is the tallest they've ever had, I think. They've also had a handful of 6'6" players on their past rosters at the same time. None of that size won them a ring. I'm sure Yates is gonna be looking for some payback next year. Devon was already promising a repeat next year on his Twitter feed before they won the first ring. Silsbee needs to not get too arrogant. Confidence is fine, but don't get too cocky. I think coach Sig will have them ready.

Build a solid team around Bush, Adams, and McCain. They'll be fine. and don't go punching anyone in the head next year either.

Just watched the Silsbee press conference. Coach Sigler has been coaching for 40 years.

Couldn't be happier for coach Sigler and these kids. So many years of being so close but not quite. Finally!!!

Common opponents Brazosport: Houston Christian - Lose 74 - 69 Fort Bend Hightower - Win 83 -72 and Win 59 -58 Lamarque - Win 76 - 67 College Park - Lose 93 - 89 Silsbee: Houston Christian - Win 108 - 85 Fort Bend Hightower - Lose 98 - 95 Lamarque - Win 101 - 75 College Park - Lose 100 - 95 Both teams last loss was to College Park. The Hightower wins are the only thing Brazosport has going for them over Silsbee, although Silsbee should have really beat Hightower if I remember right. Hightower got bailed out by a bad foul call.

Kinda doubt it since Central or Ozen ain't playing.

Brazosport is supposed to have a really good PG like Bush. They've got one big (6'8) who I hope is a clumsy slow big. Other than that I don't know much about them. If they try to out Silsbee Silsbee, I like our odds. I just hope we shoot much better tomorrow. Another bad shooting night is the only thing that worries me.

I'm sure Silsbee would have like to have had Willie Jones III for more than one year. Imagine him on last years team. Whether some people want to believe it or not, it's a Beaumont school that had benefited from Silsbee transfers when it comes to Jones/Bush. I say they owe us a player or two. Any Central/Ozen kids want to come stay with their auntie in Silsbee for a little while lol. You gotta fight fire with fire when it comes to kids transferring/moving in. You don't think nearly all the good Dallas and Houston schools don't do this?
