They're really gonna try to press Braylon? That could be one advantage Silsbee will have.

They only lost to Yates by 2 or 3 points last year. I re-watched the second half of this one. Lots of whistles. Nearly every single time either team went down the court. Connally can't rebound. The play where Barnes scored 4 points in a row in the 4th really did them in.

Who was Yates toughest opponent this year? Houston Christian? I think Silsbee has the advantage when it comes to being battle tested. Of course it means nothing if they have a bad game tomorrow. I expect a solid 8-9 man rotation with Adams, McCain or Bush not ever being on the bench all at once. I think Barnes can come up big tomorrow. If Yates wants to run with the fastest kid in the state, let them go ahead and try.

Silsbee lost to Liberty Hill two years ago. McCain and Adams were freshmen back then. I'm sure they wouldn't mind a chance for some payback.

Silsbee by 8. No easy wins from here on out. Don't like the fact that we didn't crush Scarborough after the 1st quarter tonight. Gotta be honest. I give this team a 50 percent chance of winning it again this year. Unlike last year where, with the exception of the Argyle game, it felt like a formality. Our big three can't have an off night.

Don't know a lot about Waco Connally. They don't seem to have too many impressive wins. If their listed roster is correct, they're no bigger than Silsbee either.

I'm pulling for Dallas Lincoln in this one. If Silsbee makes it back to state this year, Argyle is the one team I don't want to see. They've came really close to beating us the past 3 or so years. I wouldn't want them to finally get over the hump this time around if it happens.

With a 40 - 1 record you had better be a top 25 national elite team. Otherwise I see it as you playing a bunch of mainly nobodies and not wanting to challenge yourself. I'm sure they're pretty good, but I think Silsbee right now would win. The one team that beat them lost to Houston Christian. Silsbee beat HC by 23 points last year.

Yes. Those kids have got to play like they'll be starters or key players off the bench one day. I agree that it can look bad be taken the wrong way by some people.. Coach Sigler did call off the press against some teams in district this year. Silsbee was missing 5 or 6 players for that first Wagner.game. We knew what was likely to happen and it did. No hard feelings from any Tiger fans over it.

Wish we could have got another shot at North Shore, The Woodlands, Atascocita and Concordia Lutheran. I believe Barns was out for the NS game. Atascocita and Lutheran barely beat Silsbee Lite.

Those kids that are 3rd stringers are still expected to play hard. It may seem like Silsbee is running up the score when winning by 50+, but those kids have got to get some quality playing time when given a chance. They can't just stand there and give the other team the ball and not play defense.

Most of these Silsbee kids have been running since they were big enough to hold and dribble a basketball. It wont be an issue. The only issue Silsbee will have is bad shooting. That will do Silsbee in and nothing else. If they play Yates like they did the last district game against Bridge City, Yates wins. If they play North Forrest tonight like the did their last district game it may go bad for them. I'm sure NF will be looking for some payback.

Dallas Lincoln lost 15 games and won state year before last. Records aren't everything. Silsbee can't hang with the top dogs in 6A this year. I'll admit to that, even if they were missing a lot of players for that first Wagner game. They played like crap against Duncanville and deserved that butt kicking. They've played better defense ever since that game. Center is the only loss Silsbee has this year that I'm actually a little concerned about. That's another 4A team that could potentially take us down.

Yates can go ahead and try to press against Bush and Adams if they want if the game happens. We'll see how that works out for them. Their schedule has been pretty weak this year from the looks of things. I guess they didn't like getting embarrassed by Sam Houston last year. How'd pressing Kendrick Davis work out for y`all lol. Two things Silsbee would have in their favor is they're battle tested, and Yates didn't see McCain last year. It'd say it's a toss up. If Silsbee is ice cold from the three, Yates wins. If they're making their shots and slashing through that press, I'll take Silsbee by 10.

Not a big fan of daisy chains. For example: Brazosport beat Clear Lake last year. Clear Lake beat Cy Falls, the eventual 6a state champion, As we all know Silsbee beat Brazospot. Does that mean Silsbee could have beat Cy Falls last year? Of course not. That's silly. There's only one way to find out who's better. Maybe EC should hit coach Sigler up for a game next year. It shouldn't matter where they play if EC is so big and bad. Silsbee should be better next year. They've got another Elam coming up along with a few others looking to make a bigger impact from JV.

I have a feeling everyone of those players will play tonight.

WOS played Silsbee tough at home last year. Adams and McCain didn't play that game, but Silsbee had more depth to make up for it last year too. That this was a game shouldn't have been a big surprise.

I'm sure Coach Sigler would do it. Not sure it'll be much of a rivalry if it gets too one sided for a few years. Don't remember what Silsbee's record was against Central before Ozen existed. Would have to look that up somewhere.
