Are you kidding me?  We (Silsbee) has the best 3 guard combo in the state of Texas with McCain, Bush, and Adams.  There pressure will not effect us at all and we will score at will.  This will be a track meet and no one can outrun the Silsbee Tigers.

I expected a bigger win for us last night.  The guy sitting next to me told me that Ozen actually had 3 starters that were missing last night.  Dotson, Jones, and somebody else.  

Despite my Tigers being the so called "Silsbee-Lite", we still had a chance to win the game.  It is not what you do in November but what you do in March.

Too much Parquet and the 6'9 kid

i am going to the Central vs. Vidor game tonight.  I feel sorry for the kids at Central.  I hope they are allowed to go back to their school soon.

I would not blame Coach English for leaving Nederland.  He should have been named athletic director.  He has put Nederland basketball on the map and would have done a great job!

From what I hear, Silsbee was more talented than Dallas Lincoln last year.  I know after Devon McCain was injured it was devastating, so that could be the reason.  But the facts remaining are these: 1.)There is no team in Class 4A with more talent than Silsbee.  2.) And there may be no team in the state of Texas deeper than Silsbee.  This was told to me by one of my coaching buddies.  So the question is.  why shouldn't they win it all this year?  I agree with Sports Junkie.  It's State Title or Bust!  The window for winning a state championship does not stay open long.  This has to be Silsbee's year.

West Brook has to get passed just winning the Beaumont Bowl trophy.  They consistently pull a large number of football athletes because they have consistently beaten most teams in the area.  With the numbers they have and the student athletes they have, they should be able to compete with anyone in the state.  Coach Stump competed with his numbers because he had an excellent staff and had a great scheme.  I was told that on several plays last night that WB was running kids on the field with seconds to spare prior to the snap of the football.  I heard they not only were over matched but were unprepared. 

I think this game will come down to field position and coaching.

If every student athlete has to sit out a year, then every coach should have to sit out a year also.  For instance, the stuff that Suggs pulled at Ozen.  Not having an offseason, resigning at the very last minute when he knew he was going to leave, and pretty much abandoning the kids and that football program was wrong.  He should have to sit out a year also.  I ask this question again!  Why should the kids be loyal to a football program when no one is loyal to them?  And also, I would not want a student athlete to play in my program if he really didn't want to be there.

No way that Texas is #11 in the nation.  It was a great game but GEESH!  Texas will give up tons of points this year because their defense will be on the field a lot because of their hurry up offense.  Rankings don't mean anything. JUST WIN BABY!   Let's see how they tackle against UTEP's running back.

It was a great game.  Let's see how Texas plays against the teams they should beat. 

FSU!  FSU!  I hope that Jimbo doesn't leave for LSU when they come calling for him again.  They will throw the kitchen sink at him this time. 

I understand that the coach has only been with his kids for only a few weeks.  So playing a team that was stacked like that didn't make much sense.   A few posts on this site have talked around the subject of why Ozen is 5A but should be 4A.  Who made the decision for them to stay 5A?  Was is Suggs?  Was it the AD?  If so why?  My coworker told me that the BISD petitioned for them to stay 5A and that Ozen actually has 4A numbers.  Sounds like those kids over there are getting a raw deal.  And it seems like no one wants to stand up for the kids, but if it was a coach not getting the job done, everyone would be putting their 2 cents in to get rid of him.  smh
