Regardless of Newton/Waskom and Boling/Lexington regional final winners, their Class 3A-Division II state semifinal will be at Texan Drive Stadium in Porter on Friday, Dec.15 at 7:30 p.m.

The QB I am talking about was Silsbee's Dontre Thomas. Passed for over 3200 yards and 40 TD's, ran for over 1800 yards and 31 TD's.

I'll go to my grave saying Dontre should have won WRS in 2015.

Full preview for all five remaining teams in my coverage area (PN-G, PA, WO-S, Silsbee, Newton) out Friday.

Super Gold teams have been selected. Letters are getting sent out this week and our banquet is Dec. 11. The full team will be released then.

From a non-biased side, no, don't agree. Johnson had 10 TDs, more total yards and really didn't make a mistake all night.

Howard was great but threw a bad INT on the first drive.
