  1. LU falls 37-24.
  2. 34-24 early 4th. Nicholls leads.
  3. LU denied, stopped on 4th and goal at the 1. 20-11 halftime.
  4. 20-11. LU with a safety.
  5. LU fumble in the red zone and Nicholls follows with a 69 yard touchdown run 4 plays later. 20-9
  6. Nicholls has scored twice, but LU scores a defensive PAT after the 2nd touchdown. Early 2nd 13-9 Colonels.
  7. LU scores first 7-0. Early in the 1st. Playing for a 3 way tie A Lamar win would set up a final weekend with LU having a shot at being an automatic qualifier for the FCS playoffs.
  8. 70 plus yard TD pass. !!:35/14/4 4:10 left to play.
  9. Under 5 minutes left with Westwood in possession of the ball.
  10. Fightin' Fontenot's for the W.
  11. The conference bylaws count the forfeits for the conference and allows for the conference to use this for determining he automatic qualifier. At large teams are not given credit for the forfeits when considering participants in the playoffs by the NCAA FCS selection committee.
  12. Lamar beats Commerce. UiW loses to Nicholls. Nicholls lone undefeated team in conference play. SELA defeated McNeese in the only other game today. Conference issue with Northwestern "explained" below. I simply don't understand if the conference will influence the automatic qualifier. The NCAA views of the forfeits doesn't clarify, at least to me, if the conference can determine the automatic qualifying team. It seems to be no, but if so why are they listing the forfeits. I will ask around on Monday, unless someone smarter than me (doesn't take much) can interpret without speculating. [Hidden Content]
  13. 41-21 final. LU moves to 4-1 in the SLC and 5-4 overall. Tough game next week at Nicholls then wrap up regular season at home against McNeese.
  14. 42-14. 6:44. 44-19 Nicholls early 4th. The SLC website (checked it just now) is showing the Northwestern games as forfeits. This will put Lamar tied with UIW and 1 back of Nicholls if all holds up. Next week will set Lamar with an opportunity for a 3 way tie.
  15. 35-14. 8:54 to play. Best drive of the day for Commerce.
  16. 35-7 LU early in the 4th.
  17. Pick 6. LU up 28-7 with 6:42 left in the 3rd. Nicholls up 31-13, early 3rd.
  18. 21-7 half. Nicholls leads 24-13 over UIW, halftime as well.
  19. A&M Commerce punt return has laid several in the ground helping LU tremendously. 21-7 LU with 1:49 until half.
  20. 3 PM. Win out and there is a shot at the FCS playoffs. LU has to be a Nicholls fan today for that shot to be realistic.
  21. [Hidden Content] Thank you Mr. Buddy for posting all the previous information. After the sad passing of a teammate the quartback is now claiming the young man's death was used as an excuse to shut down the program. Strong accusations, but if he is accurate the use of a young person's death to do this is beyond reprehensible. The university's response is in the article. The link is from KALB, however some national news groups are reporting in this as well.
  22. Scanning the remaining schedule for the LU, UIW, and Nicholls. Odd scenario that could occur. Northwestern's season being cancelled due to the tragic loss of one of their players could leave the conference with an issue. Scenario.. Nicholls beats UIW this coming Saturday must happen first followed by a win for Lamar over Nicholls. Then, if all 3 teams win remaining games....LU finishes 6-1 and the other 2 are 5-1, not a 3 way tie. Lamar is the only one that played Northwestern. Will the conference allow that stand or convert the cancelations to forfeits? Assume since they are already listed as cancelations that is set and simply stands by pre-approved guidelines. However,...
